The article reports developments related to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) medication in the U.S. The new drug application of Shire's ADHD is undergoing a review at the Food and Drug Administration which will be completed by April 9, 2006. Alza Corp. Concerta, a delayed release stimulant used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder has been found to be less likely to be abused. The CX717 of Cortex Pharmaceuticals Inc. clinical trial has shown positive results.
