The article provides information on personal taxes in Great Britain. Though enforcement is strict, Great Britain is a relatively low-tax country by European standards. Tax treatment in the country for an individual depends on whether a person is resident, ordinarily resident and/or domiciled in Great Britain. The British government released a paper reviewing the residence and domicile rules as they affect the taxation of individuals in April 2003.
