With experimental data of DIS involving transversely polarized proton, we have calculated the 3-D charge density inside the polarized proton, which is found to have a significant non-spherical symmetry. Then we have calculated the property of electromagnetic field (E-M field) generated by a single transversely polarized proton ($p^{\uparrow}$). Based on them, the E-M field generated in small collision system $p^{\uparrow}+A$ are studied. We find that the orientation of this E-M field has a significant dependence on the polarization direction of the proton, and the correlator ($\Delta\gamma$ ) has also significant dependence on the angle between reaction plane and polarization direction. In this work, we introduce a novel method for calculating the 6DoF pose of an object using a single RGB-D image. Unlike existing methods that either directly predict objects' poses or rely on sparse keypoints for pose recovery, our approach addresses this challenging task using dense correspondence, i.e., we regress the object coordinates for each visible pixel. Our method leverages existing object detection methods. We incorporate a re-projection mechanism to adjust the camera's intrinsic matrix to accommodate cropping in RGB-D images. Moreover, we transform the 3D object coordinates into a residual representation, which can effectively reduce the output space and yield superior performance. We conducted extensive experiments to validate the efficacy of our approach for 6D pose estimation. Our approach outperforms most previous methods, especially in occlusion scenarios, and demonstrates notable improvements over the state-of-the-art methods. The domain of computer vision has experienced significant advancements in facial-landmark detection, becoming increasingly essential across various applications such as augmented reality, facial recognition, and emotion analysis. Unlike object detection or semantic segmentation, which focus on identifying objects and outlining boundaries, faciallandmark detection aims to precisely locate and track critical facial features. However, deploying deep learning-based facial-landmark detection models on embedded systems with limited computational resources poses challenges due to the complexity of facial features, especially in dynamic settings. Additionally, ensuring robustness across diverse ethnicities and expressions presents further obstacles. Existing datasets often lack comprehensive representation of facial nuances, particularly within populations like those in Taiwan. This paper introduces a novel approach to address these challenges through the development of a knowledge distillation method. By transferring knowledge from larger models to smaller ones, we aim to create lightweight yet powerful deep learning models tailored specifically for facial-landmark detection tasks. Our goal is to design models capable of accurately locating facial landmarks under varying conditions, including diverse expressions, orientations, and lighting environments. The ultimate objective is to achieve high accuracy and real-time performance suitable for deployment on embedded systems. Although face anti-spoofing (FAS) methods have achieved remarkable performance on specific domains or attack types, few studies have focused on the simultaneous presence of domain changes and unknown attacks, which is closer to real application scenarios. To handle domain-generalized unknown attacks, we introduce a new method, DGUA-FAS, which consists of a Transformer-based feature extractor and a synthetic unknown attack sample generator (SUASG). The SUASG network simulates unknown attack samples to assist the training of the feature extractor. It is a big challenge to develop efficient models for identifying personalized drug targets (PDTs) from high-dimensional personalized genomic profile of individual patients. Recent structural network control principles have introduced a new approach to discover PDTs by selecting an optimal set of driver genes in personalized gene interaction network (PGIN). However, most of current methods only focus on controlling the system through a minimum driver-node set and ignore the existence of multiple candidate driver-node sets for therapeutic drug target identification in PGIN. Therefore, this paper proposed multi-objective optimization-based structural network control principles (MONCP) by considering minimum driver nodes and maximum prior-known drug-target information. To solve MONCP, a discrete multi-objective optimization problem is formulated with many constrained variables, and a novel evolutionary optimization model called LSCV-MCEA was developed by adapting a multi-tasking framework and a rankings-based fitness function method. With genomics data of patients with breast or lung cancer from The Cancer Genome Atlas database, the effectiveness of LSCV-MCEA was validated. The experimental results indicated that compared with other advanced methods, LSCV-MCEA can more effectively identify PDTs with the highest Area Under the Curve score for predicting clinically annotated combinatorial drugs. Meanwhile, LSCV-MCEA can more effectively solve MONCP than other evolutionary optimization methods in terms of algorithm convergence and diversity. Particularly, LSCV-MCEA can efficiently detect disease signals for individual patients with BRCA cancer. Adversarial attacks on deep learning-based models pose a significant threat to the current AI infrastructure. Among them, Trojan attacks are the hardest to defend against. In this paper, we first introduce a variation of the Badnet kind of attacks that introduces Trojan backdoors to multiple target classes and allows triggers to be placed anywhere in the image. The former makes it more potent and the latter makes it extremely easy to carry out the attack in the physical space. The state-of-the-art Trojan detection methods fail with this threat model. To defend against this attack, we first introduce a trigger reverse-engineering mechanism that uses multiple images to recover a variety of potential triggers. We then propose a detection mechanism by measuring the transferability of such recovered triggers. A Trojan trigger will have very high transferability i.e. they make other images also go to the same class. We study many practical advantages of our attack method and then demonstrate the detection performance using a variety of image datasets. The experimental results show the superior detection performance of our method over the state-of-the-arts.

Transit Timing Variation (TTV) of hot Jupiters provides direct observational evidence of planet tidal dissipation. Detecting tidal dissipation through TTV needs high precision transit timings and long timing baselines. In this work, we predict and discuss the potential scientific contribution of SiTian Survey in detecting and analyzing exoplanet TTV. We develop a tidal dissipation detection pipeline for SiTian Survey that aims at time-domain astronomy with 72 1-meter optical telescopes. The pipeline includes the modules of light curve deblending, transit timing obtaining, and TTV modeling. SiTian is capable to detect more than 25,000 exoplanets among which we expect $\sim$50 sources showing evidence of tidal dissipation. We present detection and analysis of tidal dissipating targets, based on simulated SiTian light curves of XO-3b and WASP-161b. The transit light curve modeling gives consistent results within 1$\sigma$ to input values of simulated light curves. Also, the parameter uncertainties predicted by Monte-Carlo Markov Chain are consistent with the distribution obtained from simulating and modeling the light curve 1000 times. The timing precision of SiTian observations is $\sim$ 0.5 minutes with one transit visit. We show that differences between TTV origins, e.g., tidal dissipation, apsidal precession, multiple planets, would be significant, considering the timing precision and baseline. The detection rate of tidal dissipating hot Jupiters would answer a crucial question of whether the planet migrates at an early formation stage or random stages due to perturbations, e.g., planet scattering, secular interaction. Recent experiments show that $\Delta\gamma$, an observable designed for detecting the chiral magnetic effect (CME), in small collision system $p+A$ is similar with that in heavy ion collision $A+A$. This brings a challenge to the existence of CME because it is believed that there is no azimuthal correlation between the orientation of the magnetic field ($\Phi_B$) and the participant plane ($\Phi_2$) in small collision system. In this work, we introduce three charge density models to describe the inner charge distributions of proton and neutron, and calculate the electric and magnetic fields produced in small $p+A$ collisions at both RHIC and LHC energies. Our results show that the contribution of the single projectile proton to the magnetic field is the main source after average over all participants. The azimuthal correlation between $\Phi_B$ and $\Phi_2$ is small but not vanished. And due to the huge fluctuation of fields strength, the magnetic-field contribution to $\Delta\gamma$ could be large., Comment: 14 pages, 13 figures

Radial velocity (RV) is among the most fundamental physical quantities obtainable from stellar spectra and is rather important in the analysis of time-domain phenomena. The LAMOST Medium-Resolution Survey (MRS) DR7 contains 5 million single-exposure stellar spectra at spectral resolution $R\sim7\,500$. However, the temporal variation of the RV zero-points (RVZPs) of the MRS survey, which makes the RVs from multiple epochs inconsistent, has not been addressed. In this paper, we measure the RVs of the 3.8 million single-exposure spectra (for 0.6 million stars) with signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) higher than 5 based on cross-correlation function (CCF) method, and propose a robust method to self-consistently determine the RVZPs exposure-by-exposure for each spectrograph with the help of \textit{Gaia} DR2 RVs. Such RVZPs are estimated for 3.6 million RVs and can reach a mean precision of $\sim 0.38\,\mathrm{km\,s}^{-1}$. The result of the temporal variation of RVZPs indicates that our algorithm is efficient and necessary before we use the absolute RVs to perform time-domain analysis. Validating the results with APOGEE DR16 shows that our absolute RVs can reach an overall precision of 0.84/0.80 $\mathrm{km\,s}^{-1}$ in the blue/red arm at $50<\mathrm{SNR}<100$, while 1.26/1.99 $\mathrm{km\,s}^{-1}$ at $5<\mathrm{SNR}<10$. The cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the standard deviations of multiple RVs ($N_\mathrm{obs}\geq 8$) for 678 standard stars reach 0.45/0.54, 1.07/1.39, and 1.45/1.86 $\mathrm{km\,s}^{-1}$ in the blue/red arm at 50\%, 90\%, and 95\% levels, respectively.
