The article examines the importance of utilizing what is referred to as non-traditional data sources to complement existing data concerning sustainable development, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) adopted by the member states of the United Nations (UN) in 2015. It discusses artificial intelligence (AI), the use of data to analyze challenges facing Syrian refugees in Lebanon, the creation of the Sudan Horizon Scanner (SHS), and utilizing social media amid COVID-19 lockdowns in Tunisia.
