Abstract

The article discusses research presented at the ESMO Breast Cancer annual congress, by Guilherme Nader Marta, MD, of the Institut Jules Bordet, Anderlecht, Belgium,which conducted a meta-analysis and systematic review on the association between circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and outcomes in early breast cancer patients. The study found that the detection of ctDNA at various time points was significantly linked to worse disease-free survival and overall survival.
