Abstract

The article reports on the success of the Illinois Insurance Marketplace (IIM) in promoting the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) to state residents in spite of widespread political opposition, which was reflected in the high PPACA enrollment for 2014. Topics covered include the role of the "Get Covered Illinois" campaign in the IIM's success, the hurdles to promoting PPACA, and the suggestions on how to promote healthcare through marketing.
