Abstract

The article reports on the harms caused to the aquatic life of the Caddo Lake in Uncertain, Texas by salvinia molesta, an aquatic weed that grows on the surface of the lake. It is stated that the weed suffocates all lives beneath it as it has the ability to double in size every two to four days. It is reported that the growth of the weed will now be controlled by spraying herbicide, a chemical weedkiller.
