Abstract
The article discusses accommodations for people with disabilities at academic conferences. Details on the experiences of scholars Stephanie Kerschbaum and Margaret Price, who identify as deaf and mentally disabled respectively, are presented. According to the author, resistance to change among conference organizers is a significant barrier to accessibility. Other topics include disclosure of disabilities and disabilities which are invisible or otherwise not widely understood.
