International Medical Information Center (IMIC) is mainly providing medical and pharmaceutical information including database search results to medical doctors, pharmacists and drug companies. In this article, I focus on explaining IMIC's education program which was originally developed for training professional database searchers (lnfoPro). First, I explain the contents of some IMIC's services pertinent to database search and the technical knowledge and expert skill necessary for the staffs who are engaged in these services. Next, I introduce each step of our training program for obtaining the knowledge and skill in detail (hand search of medical and pharmaceutical articles, outside seminar, in-house seminar, database search practice and continuing education). The Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011 caused extensive damage over a widespread area. Our hospital library, which is located in the affected area, was no exception. A large collection of books was lost, and some web content was inaccessible due to damage to the network environment. This greatly hindered our efforts to continue providing post-disaster medical information services. Information support, such as free access to databases, journals, and other online content related to the disaster areas, helped us immensely during this time. We were fortunate to have the cooperation of various medical employees and library members via social networks, such as twitter, during the process of attaining this information support. In June 2008, the Medical Library of Shinshu University started on the following two services called the New Service toward hospitals in Nagano accepting residents of Shinshu University as a support to the community medical care; 1 .JDream II service at the special price as a consortium, 2.Document delivery service by applying through the internet. In May 2009, the hospital library has been established in the Shinshu University Hospital. Our services for them are purchasing medical materials and giving various information. Here, I report the course and the present of the new service and also an outline of the Shinshu University Hospital Library. The article reports on the proposed rule issued by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to clarify the collection of employee medical information as part of corporate wellness programs. The concerns of the federal government on how companies use the health-related data collected through wearable devices are discussed. The opinion of executive Scott Kirschner on the impact of the implementation of the rule on company-sponsored fitness programs and employees is also presented.

The article presents views expressed by Martin Ingvar of Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden on mobile healthcare at the Business Innovation Forum hosted by communications technology firm Ericsson in Stockholm, Sweden in November 2014.
