The article explains the double objective of democratic ecosocialism. It discusses the objectives of a social economy which are to expand and decommodify universal public services, establish public works programs, introduce a public job guarantee, scale down socially less-necessary forms of production, and reduce excess purchasing power of the rich using wealth taxes and maximum income ratios. Emphasis is given on the need to abolish economic insecurity and for progressive movements to unite.
