1. Minilaparoscopic treatment of a Grynfeltt lumbar hernia

Abstract

This study reports a successful minilaparoscopic treatment of a 62 years old male patient with a Grynfeltt hernia, and outlines a new minimally invasive way to do the procedure. A patient presented with a left lumbar herniation of two years duration with no other symptoms. Physical examination showed a 5 cm soft mass on the left lumbar region, which was confirmed as a hernia by an ultrasound.
