We investigated 10‐(4‐phenylphenyl)‐9‐(3‐diphenylphosphinyl‐phenyl)anthracene as a host material in the emitting layer and a hole‐blocking layer in deep blue OLEDs, respectively. By contrast, introducing a thin layer of this triphenylphosphine oxide moiety‐modified anthracene derivative as the hole blocker exhibits a maximum external quantum efficiency of 5.49% with CIE (0.126, 0.118) and in particular, high device stability with lifetime LT95 of ca. 540 h @ 1000 cd m–2.

Primary cytoreductive surgery with platinum-taxane-based chemotherapy is the standard treatment for ovarian cancer (OC) patients; however, resistance to chemotherapy is a contributing factor to OC mortality. Paclitaxel (PTX), the most widely used taxane, has become the first-line drug against OC. The molecular mechanism of PTX resistance is different from that of platinum-based agents and is still not completely elucidated. Our previous study showed that glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) is involved in the resistance of OC cells to PTX. However, little is known regarding endogenous inhibitors of this gene. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play critical roles in the regulation of gene expression; therefore, we sought to identify miRNA(s) with potential to target GRP78 under the hypothesis that miRNA(s) could serve as potential therapeutic targets. Here, we show that miR-181c, predicted to target GRP78, was downregulated in PTX-resistant OC cells and tissues. MiR-181c downregulated GRP78 expression and induced apoptosis by directly targeting its 3′-untranslated region (UTR). Overexpression of miR-181c sensitized resistant OC to PTX by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt pathway in vitro and in vivo. Taken together, our findings indicate that the delivery of miR-181c can efficiently suppress GRP78 expression and GRP78-mediated PTX resistance in OC and suggest that this strategy has therapeutic potential.

The HEVC standard is mainly for high-definition and ultra-high-definition video images. The compression performance of HEVC has been further improved, but at the same time coding complexity is also higher than the existing standard. This paper firstly analyzed the architecture of HEVC decoding process and its mainly algorithm components. Then this paper designed how to use the Android NDK to transplant the HM decoding library, and then take the java native interface to resolve the HEVC stream. After decoding the data, this paper converts the YUV data into RGB format for display. The experiment results show that the design scheme is feasible and the HEVC player achieves the basic functions in the Android platform.

Nowadays, mobile WEB video application got rapid development, and the video service quality evaluation and the analysis of the network performance have become an urgent demand. In this paper, we propose a new framework and method to assess the subjective quality of mobile web video based on no-reference (NR) model. Through discuss the structure of TD mobile network and the application of web video, the paper built a set of testing process for mobile video on demand service and fault location method based on the result of network structure and the business of video quality evaluation. The actual test results from TD network shows the proposed way can measure the web video quality and find the bottleneck location of the transmitting network. The evaluation result of video on demand quality is in accordance with the subjective feeling of the user. The benchmark contrast testing method proved to be practical and feasible in the real test, thus providing readily available tools for video service quality assessment.

After a deep investigation on the performance measure of the video conference and the video quality assessment methods, the whole plan of video quality assessment (VQA) for video conference system is proposed. Without reference video source, a novel No-Reference (NR) VQA method based on both the coding layer information and the packet layer transmission performance is introduced. The experimental result shows that the proposed method can obtain the dependable score which close to the subjective assessment.

With advanced prediction modes of intra prediction, intra coding of H.264/AVC offers significant coding gains compared with previous video coding standards. It uses an important tool called Lagrangian rate-distortion optimization (RDO) technique to decide the best coding mode for a block, but the computational burden is extremely high. In this paper, we proposed an improved fast intra prediction algorithm including block type selection and mode decision algorithm based on analysis of edge feature of a block. Our algorithm filters out unlikely block type and candidate modes to reduce the RDO calculations. Experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm can reduce the computation complexity of intra prediction from 52.90% to 56.31%, with 0.04 dB PSNR degradation and 2% increase of bit rate.
