2. Color-Tunable CsCdCl3Perovskite for Low-Temperature Anticounterfeiting and Information Storage Applications

Abstract

Low-temperature anticounterfeiting technologies play a crucial role in ensuring the authenticity and integrity of temperature-sensitive products such as vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and food items. In this work, a low-temperature anticounterfeiting route based on the differentiated photoluminescence (PL), PersL, and thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) behaviors of metal halide perovskite, pure CsCdCl3, and CsCdCl3:10% Te4+is proposed. The CsCdCl3host exhibits pronounced color shifts, encompassing PL, PersL, and TSL behaviors, ranging from blue to yellow and orange as the temperature rises from 100 K to room temperature. This color change is attributed to a change in the luminous center (from the D3doctahedron to the C3voctahedron). Conversely, the addition of Te4+as the luminescence center inhibits the matrix emission, maintains the characteristic orange emission of Te4+, and regulates the trap distribution of the matrix at low temperature and the TL luminescence intensity. This work highlights the significant promise of CsCdCl3:10% Te4+and CsCdCl3phosphors as innovative low-temperature anticounterfeiting technologies, especially for cold-chain vaccine safety monitoring.

3. Mechanical property analysis and structure optimisation of worm gear reducer

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn the process of lightweight design, there will be problems such as stress concentration and structural weakening. In order to improve the design defect of serious insufficient life caused by the bending failure of worm gear, the bending stress of worm gear tooth root was analyzed by solution method and finite element simulation method. The main research contents include: firstly, the bending stress of worm gear is calculated by analytical solution method; Secondly, CAD is used to reconstruct the model; Finally, HyperMesh is used for analysis of the structure. The maximum bending stress obtained from theoretical calculation is 34.56Mpa, and the maximum stress from simulation is 39.3Mpa, 29.6Mpa and 26.3Mpa respectively in the three areas of gear root A, B and C (figure 7). Compared with the finite element, the maximum stress difference between them is 4.74Mpa. The stress concentration point is determined, and the structure optimization is carried out; CAE analysis of the optimized model shows that stresses in A, B and C regions of the worm gear root are 33.4 MPa, 22.5 MPa and 5.9 MPa, respectively. After optimization, the maximum stress difference between the two is 1.16Mpa.The above analysis results provide theoretical support for the design of worm gear reducer.

4. Synthesis and industrial applicability of a manganese slag-derived catalyst for effective decomposition of VOCs

Abstract

“Zero-landfilling” concept requires effective recycling of solid waste. This work intended to recycle manganese slag as a catalyst for the catalytic oxidization of volatile organic compounds. To reach this aim, Cu and Ce are first doped on the slag, and then a coating method produces a monolithic catalyst with the doped slag. As a result, the doped slag removes 99 % of toluene at 240℃ when molar ratio between Cu:Ce is 1:1. Detailed characterizations reveal that the amount of surface lattice oxygen is increased after the doping. Besides, electron-transfer bridges are formed between high-valence and low-valence metals (Mn, Cu, and Ce), which enhance the consumption and replenishment of lattice oxygen during the catalysis. Afterwards, different coating reagents are compared in producing the monolithic catalyst. Silica-alumina sol results in the best monolithic catalyst, which attains a toluene removal of 100 % at 270°C. Moreover, the monolithic catalyst surpasses a commercial catalyst in the catalytic removal of toluene (both lab and pilot scales), ethyl acetate, n-hexane, and formaldehyde. This work helps the high-value-added utilization of heavy-metal-containing solid waste.
