When searching over associations between congenital ear abnormalities, especially microtia and affiliated deformities like cleft lip or palate and congenital heart diseases, some clinical analysis and genetic theories are found. A 10-year-old boy sent to the plastic surgery hospital was puzzled by a congenital anterior auricular fistula with fluid trace for more than 9 years. The preoperative diagnoses were branchial cleft fistula and congenital left ear deformity with postoperation of TOF. By browsing over studies on genetic concerns and clinical performance, it may be attributed to a possible association between microtia, branchial cleft fistula, and tetralogy of Fallot, though whose fundamental mechanisms remain concerned.

Dual SiOxNy shadow elimination is a common film design used in integrated color display devices. This article studied the influence factor of SiOxNy adhesion on glass. Therefore, the issue adhesion SiOxNy on glass is particularly important. The factors of affecting adhesion mainly include the several points: glass and layer surface properties, glass surface treatment, and adding transition layer. In view of the above points, we made a of lot methods such as glass shelf life control, glass pickling treatment and SiO2 transition layer respectively. Through optimizing process improvement, the final issues ratio was down from 50% to 0.84%, and by adding the SiO2 transition we solve the issue permanently.

To investigate the effects of Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi, ZS) and Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu, BZ)-containing serum on glutamate-induced autophagy in rat colonic interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs) and to analyze the underlying mechanism.

Exploring a combined phototherapeutic strategy to overcome the limitations of a single mode therapy and inducing high anticancer efficiency is highly promising for precision cancer nanomedicine. However, a single-wavelength laser activates dual photothermal/photodynamic therapy (PTT/PDT) treatment is still a formidable challenge. Herein, we strategically design and fabricate a multifunctional theranostic nanosystem based on chlorin e6-functionalized polydopamine (PDA) coated prussian blue/manganese dioxide nanoparticles (PB-MnO2@PDA-Ce6 NPs). Interestingly, the obtained PB-MnO2@PDA NPs not only offer an effective delivery system for Ce6 but also provide strong optical absorption in the near-infrared range, endowing high antitumor efficacy of PTT. More importantly, the as-prepared PB-MnO2@PDA-Ce6 nanoagents exhibit an effective oxygen generation, superior reactive oxygen species (ROS), and outstanding photothermal conversion ability to greatly improve PTT and PDT treatments. As a result, both in vitroand in vivotreatments guided by MR imaging on liver cancer cells reveal the complete cell/tumor eradication under a single wavelength of 660 nm laser irradiation, implying the simultaneous synergistic PDT/PTT effects triggered by PB-MnO2@PDA-Ce6 nanoplatform, which are much higher than individual treatment. Taken together, our phototherapeutic nanoagents exhibit an excellent therapeutic performance, which may act as a nanoplatform to find safe and clinically translatable routes to accelerate cancer therapeutics.

We report on an artificially intelligent nanoarray based on molecularly modified gold nanoparticles and a random network of single-walled carbon nanotubes for noninvasive diagnosis and classification of a number of diseases from exhaled breath. The performance of this artificially intelligent nanoarray was clinically assessed on breath samples collected from 1404 subjects having one of 17 different disease conditions included in the study or having no evidence of any disease (healthy controls). Blind experiments showed that 86% accuracy could be achieved with the artificially intelligent nanoarray, allowing both detection and discrimination between the different disease conditions examined. Analysis of the artificially intelligent nanoarray also showed that each disease has its own unique breathprint, and that the presence of one disease would not screen out others. Cluster analysis showed a reasonable classification power of diseases from the same categories. The effect of confounding clinical and environmental factors on the performance of the nanoarray did not significantly alter the obtained results. The diagnosis and classification power of the nanoarray was also validated by an independent analytical technique, i.e., gas chromatography linked with mass spectrometry. This analysis found that 13 exhaled chemical species, called volatile organic compounds, are associated with certain diseases, and the composition of this assembly of volatile organic compounds differs from one disease to another. Overall, these findings could contribute to one of the most important criteria for successful health intervention in the modern era, viz. easy-to-use, inexpensive (affordable), and miniaturized tools that could also be used for personalized screening, diagnosis, and follow-up of a number of diseases, which can clearly be extended by further development.

To verify the damping effect of dual mass flywheel, the experiment is designed in use of power-transmission test-bed and rev-torque testing apparatus, and dual mass flywheel of DCT transmission system DQ250 is used to test its damping effect in the experiment. Kinds of conditions of car, like idle condition, run condition, climb condition, are simulated in experiment. The results show that different engine revs and loads, different damping effects of dual mass flywheel. The high engine rev and the more load, the better damping effect of dual mass flywheel.

Most patients with ovarian cancer (OC) are diagnosed with advanced disease stages (III to IV) and have a 5-year survival rate less than 30. Detecting OC in its early stages before it has metastasized could increase the 5-year survival rate to 85 to 90. Previous studies have investigated a novel approach for the detection of OC based on measuring volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in exhaled breath; these disease-specific compounds evaporate from cancer cells and enter the surrounding environment. Using this principle, trained dogs showed an ability to distinguish OC tissues or blood samples from equivalent controls with almost 100 sensitivity and specificity. Because canine OC detection is not practical for widespread clinical use, scientists developed suitably sensitive analytical instrumentation for rapid detection of OC with similar accuracy as found with dogs.

This study aims at examining the performance of the ClO2 on treating ballast water of Dalian new port area foreign trade oil pool in the cases of different experimental parameters, and Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii (CR), Gymnodinium catenatum (GC) and Gymnodinium cf. mikimotoi (GCM) are used for this experiment. The results shows that under certain test condition, the removal rates are in proportion to the dosage of ClO2 and reaction time, and inversely proportion to pH value, humic acid and ammonia nitrogen content. Accordingly, on operating at the optimal dosage of ClO2 and parameters of experiment, this process is proven to be an effective technology to remove these three algae and organic compounds in ballast water. In ballast water, the removal ability of ClO2 for these three algae is less sensitive to pH value, humic acid and ammonia nitrogen content than to ClO2 dosage and reaction time. Removing GC, GCM and CR with ClO2 are attributed to the second order reaction. Investigating the performance of such process, could serve to develop management strategies that enable mitigating the impacts of harmful substance in ballast water and help improving and ensuring quality of ballast water.
