The article focuses on the use of insurance for the financial security of consumers in e-commerce transactions. After conducting several surveys, it was found that consumers had strong concerns about the risk of shopping on the Internet, and they were concerned about the security of financial transactions on the Web. It is stated that this lack of trust among consumers resulted as an impediment to the growth of e-commerce. It is stated that through proper insurance, these security concerns regarding Internet transactions can be effectively reduced. Insurance builds a trust between buyers and sellers on the Internet. The buyers are assured that the goods will be delivered as agreed, and the sellers are assured that they will be paid for the goods delivered.
