Long-term spatial-temporal frame prediction focuses on predicting future image frames precisely, which has numerous applications in real-world scenarios. Existing deep learning prediction models mainly rely on advanced neural network architectures to model complicated spatial-temporal features, which make few efforts to explore high-order correlations to better capture long-term dynamics. Their prediction on long-term frames suffers from inaccurate visual and motion detail issue. In this article, we propose a high-order prediction model for long-term frame prediction, which improves the appearance and motion details by designing special high-order correlation modules in two aspects. First, to enhance the appearance details of predicted frames, we propose a high-order appearance encoder module, where high-order appearance features can be effectively captured with a carefully designed Non-local ConvLSTM. Second, to guarantee the motion accuracy of predicted sequences, we carefully design a high-order motion encoder module, which can accurately capture and preserve the high-order motion patterns with adaptive motion extractors and progressive memory banks, respectively. Comprehensive experiments are conducted on six challenging datasets from real-world scenarios, which demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of our proposed method over state-of-the-art methods.

As an extremely challenging spatial–temporal sequence prediction task, satellite image sequence prediction has various and significant applications in real-world scenarios. Although a lot of deep learning prediction models are developed for spatial–temporal sequence prediction, the methods still deliver unsatisfactory performance in terms of keeping spatial–temporal consistency, which leads to inaccurate and blurry satellite image sequence predictions. To maintain spatial–temporal consistency and achieve high-quality satellite image sequence prediction, we propose a novel and effective spatial–temporal consistency network (STCNet). In STCNet, a multilevel motion memory-based predictor is proposed to accurately predict motion patterns of satellite image sequences to ensure temporal consistency. Then, a time-variant frame discriminator is carefully designed and proposed, which can enhance the perception quality of predicted frames to guarantee spatial consistency and simultaneously maintain the motion coherency of predicted sequences. Moreover, a scheduled sampling strategy is proposed to reduce the optimizing difficulty and better train the proposed method. Comprehensive experiments conducted on satellite image sequences from the FY-4A meteorological satellite verify the effectiveness, applicability, and adaptability of our proposed method compared to state-of-the-art approaches under challenging scenarios.

Following the progress of satellite data assimilation in the 1990s, the combination of meteorological satellites and numerical models has changed the way scientists understand the earth. With the evolution of numerical weather prediction models and earth system models, meteorological satellites will play a more important role in earth sciences in the future. As part of the space-based infrastructure, the Fengyun (FY) meteorological satellites have contributed to earth science sustainability studies through an open data policy and stable data quality since the first launch of the FY-1A satellite in 1988. The capability of earth system monitoring was greatly enhanced after the second-generation polar orbiting FY-3 satellites and geostationary orbiting FY-4 satellites were developed. Meanwhile, the quality of the products generated from the FY-3 and FY-4 satellites is comparable to the well-known MODIS products. FY satellite data has been utilized broadly in weather forecasting, climate and climate change investigations, environmental disaster monitoring, etc. This article reviews the instruments mounted on the FY satellites. Sensor-dependent level 1 products (radiance data) and inversion algorithm-dependent level 2 products (geophysical parameters) are introduced. As an example, some typical geophysical parameters, such as wildfires, lightning, vegetation indices, aerosol products, soil moisture, and precipitation estimation have been demonstrated and validated by in-situ observations and other well-known satellite products. To help users access the FY products, a set of data sharing systems has been developed and operated. The newly developed data sharing system based on cloud technology has been illustrated to improve the efficiency of data delivery.

In this paper, the latest progress, major achievements and future plans of Chinese meteorological satellites and the core data processing techniques are discussed. First, the latest three FengYun (FY) meteorological satellites (FY-2H, FY-3D, and FY-4A) and their primary objectives are introduced. Second, the core image navigation techniques and accuracies of the FY meteorological satellites are elaborated, including the latest geostationary (FY-2/4) and polar-orbit (FY-3) satellites. Third, the radiometric calibration techniques and accuracies of reflective solar bands, thermal infrared bands, and passive microwave bands for FY meteorological satellites are discussed. It also illustrates the latest progress of real-time calibration with the onboard calibration system and validation with different methods, including the vicarious China radiance calibration site calibration, pseudo invariant calibration site calibration, deep convective clouds calibration, and lunar calibration. Fourth, recent progress of meteorological satellite data assimilation applications and quantitative science produce are summarized at length. The main progress is in meteorological satellite data assimilation by using microwave and hyper-spectral infrared sensors in global and regional numerical weather prediction models. Lastly, the latest progress in radiative transfer, absorption and scattering calculations for satellite remote sensing is summarized, and some important research using a new radiative transfer model are illustrated.

A touch sensor is essentially a transducer that transforms physical touches into measurable electric signals. Here, we report a fabric-based self-powered triboelectric sensor array. Individual sensing units are constituted by intersections between row electrode lines and column electrode lines that have complementary patterns. When a sensing unit is touched, surface triboelectrification coupled with electrostatic induction generates an output voltage as high as ~25V on both the row and column electrode lines. Through proper shielding design, exceptionally low crosstalk between adjacent electrode lines is achieved, which gives an optimal near end crosstalk (NEXT) value of 0.01. A prototype of a visualized sensing system is demonstrated, which can display the position, the trajectory and the approximate profile of multiple contact objects in real time. The ITESA presented in this work does not rely on power supplies and possesses great flexibility as well as robustness. It can be scaled in area and is expected to be used in fields such as robotics, security monitoring, industrial automation, artificial intelligence, and health monitoring.

In molten salt reactors (MSRs), the liquid fuel salt circulates through the primary loop and a part of the delayed neutron precursors (DNPs) decays outside the reactor core. To model and analyze the flow field effect of DNPs in channel-type liquid-fueled MSRs, a three-dimensional space-time dynamics code, named ThorCORE3D, that couples neutronics, core thermal-hydraulics, and a molten salt loop system was developed and validated with the Molten Salt Reactor Experiment (MSRE) benchmarks. The effects of external loop recirculation time, fuel flow rate, and core flow field distribution on the delayed neutron fraction loss of MSRE at steady-state were modeled and simulated using the ThorCORE3D code. Then, the flow field effect of the DNPs on the system responses of the MSRE in the reactivity insertion transient under different initial conditions was analyzed systematically for the channel-type liquid-fueled MSRs. The results indicate that the flow field condition has a significant effect on the steady-state delayed neutron fractions and will further affect the transient power and temperature responses of the reactor system. The analysis results for the effect of the DNP flow field can provide important references for the design optimization and safety analysis of liquid-fueled MSRs.

With the improvement of living standards, air conditioning becomes the requisite of people’s life; the central air conditioning has become each big building of major appliances[1]. In the whole air conditioning cooling water treatment system, such as scale and sludge which is formed by the metal corrosion phenomenon, will seriously affect the use efficiency of air conditioning. One of the effective solution is adding scale inhibitor to the circulating water. Calcium carbonate deposition method is used to evaluate the scale inhibition rate of PASP, PESA and poly glutamic acid. then evaluate the scale inhibition rate of two compound formula. Results show that PESA with the best scale inhibitor performance, on the basis of its, respectively, compound with PASP and poly glutamic acid. The compound repice can improve the efficiency of scale inhibition. The optimized prescription is that, the PASP is 4mg/L, the PESA is 6mg/L, at this time of scale inhibition efficiency can reach 93.43%.

Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT) is a promising therapeutic option for hematological malignancies, but relapse resulted predominantly from residual disease in bone marrow (BM) remains the major cause of treatment failure. Using immunodeficient mice grafted with laboratory-generated human B-ALL, our previous study suggested that leukemia cells within the BM were resistant to graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effects, and mobilization with CXCR4 antagonist may dislodge leukemia cells from BM, rendering them destroyed by GVL effects. In this study, we extended this approach to patient-derived xenograft (PDX) and murine T-ALL and AML models for determining its clinical relevance and effects on GVHD and donor hematopoietic engraftment. We found that post-transplant treatment with CXCR4 antagonist AMD3100 significantly improved eradication of leukemia cells in the BM in PDX mice grafted with B-ALL cells from multiple patients. AMD3100 also significantly improved disease-free remission rates in murine T-ALL and AML models, and promoted donor hematopoietic engraftment in mice following non-myeloablative allo-HCT. Furthermore, post-transplant treatment with AMD3100 had no detectable deleterious effect on acute or chronic GVHD. These findings provide important preclinical data supporting the initiation of clinical trials exploring combination therapy with CXCR4 antagonist and allo-HCT.

An isocratic reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the separation of carotenoids and chlorophylls from extracts of Haematococcus lacustris. Astaxanthin monoesters are the principal carotenoids in Haematococcus lacustris. Five astaxanthin monoesters, which accounted for 79% of the total carotenoids, were identified and the individual contents were determined by HPLC to be 7.3, 24.9, 6.1, 49.4 and 12.3% of the total astaxanthin monoesters, respectively. The maximum absorption wavelengths of the five astaxanthin monoesters in the mobile phase were all 479 nm, and that of free astaxanthin, the main saponification product of the astaxanthin esters, was 478 nm.

Summary: The beneficial effects of TRH i.v. on cardiovascular function in dog hemorrhagic shock were proved in this paper. CI, SVI, RVSVI, BP, and especially LVSVI were significantly improved after administration of TRH. By observing microcirculation in the bulbar conjunctiva it was found that the venules dilated, the velocity of blood flow increased and aggregation of red blood cells decreased. In addition, acidosis during shock was attenuated. The 24 h survival rate was improved and survival time prolonged, but activity of lysosomal enzymes was not significantly changed. Combination of TRH with dexametharone did not show additional advantages in the treatment of hemorrhagic shock.
