This document provides information about a clinical trial in Italy that is currently recruiting participants. The trial aims to investigate the incidence and risk factors associated with the development of tracheal phlegmon in patients undergoing percutaneous tracheostomy. The trial will follow participants for 7 days after the procedure to identify any phlegmons and will also assess the impact of tracheal phlegmon on intensive care stay, hospital stay, mortality, and health-related quality of life at a two-year follow-up.
