Abstract

The article explores the unique challenges faced by human resource professionals working in public sector organizations. The large deficits and the unstable economy are some of the troubles faced by public sector workforce planners in 2011. The U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) is one of the government agencies affected by the budget cuts, but is still expected to counter the threats received by the U.S. A study on the IC provided techniques for workforce planning in the public sector.
