A recent study conducted by researchers from the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook explored the use of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in patients with invasive breast cancer who are not eligible for surgery. The study included 21 patients who received SBRT treatment, and the results showed good local control of the primary tumor. However, regional and distant progression still occurred in some cases, suggesting the need for additional approaches to improve control in these areas.
