The magnetic moments of heavy sextet JP=½+ baryons are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules method. Linearly independent relations among the magnetic moments of these baryons are obtained. The results for the magnetic moments of heavy baryons obtained in this work are compared with the predictions of the other approaches. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The γ*N → N*(1520) reaction is studied in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules method. The sum rules for the multipole form factors, namely, for the magnetic dipole GM(Q²), electric quadrupole GE(Q²), and Coulomb quadrupole GC(Q²) [i.e., form factors responsible for the γ*N → N*(1520) transition] are derived. Using these sum rules, the helicity amplitudes are presented as combinations of these multipole form factors, and their Q² dependences are studied. The form factors, as well as the helicity amplitudes for the γ*N→N(1535) transition, are calculated in the framework of the QCD light-cone sum rules. The contamination coming from diagonal transition is eliminated by considering combinations of the sum rules corresponding to different Lorentz structures. A similar procedure is applied for the determination of the residue and mass of the negative-parity baryon. Using the most general, model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian rare decays B→ℓ+ℓ−γ(ℓ=μ,τ) are studied. The sensitivity of the photon energy distribution and branching ratio to the new Wilson coefficients is investigated.

Using the general form of the Σ0and Λcurrents, the Σ0Λtransition magnetic moment is calculated in framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. A comparison of our result on this quantity with the existing theoretical results and experimental data is presented.

The transition form factors of the radiative decays of the heavy tensor mesons to heavy pseudoscalar and heavy vector mesons are calculated in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules method at the point Q²=0. Using the obtained values of the transition form factors at the point Q²=0, the corresponding decay widths are estimated. The results show that the radiative decays of the heavy-light tensor mesons could potentially be measured in the future planned experiments at LHCb. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The magnetic dipole GM(Q²), electric quadrupole GE(Q²), and Coulomb quadrupole GC(Q2) form factors, describing the spin-3/2 to spin-1/2 electromagnetic transitions, are investigated within the light cone QCD sum rules. The heavy spin-3/2 baryon-heavy spin-1/2 baryon vertices with light vector mesons are studied within the light cone QCD sum rules method. These vertices are parametrized in terms of three coupling constants. These couplings are calculated for all possible transitions. It is shown that correlation functions for these transitions are described by only one invariant function for every Lorenz structure. The obtained relations between the correlation functions of the different transitions are structure independent while explicit expressions of invariant functions depend on the Lorenz structure. Form factors of the rare Λb(Λ*b)→Nl+l- decays are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules by taking into account the contributions from the negative parity baryons. Using the obtained results on the form factors, the branching ratios of the considered decays are estimated. The numerical survey for the branching ratios of the Λb→Nl+l- and Λ*b→Nl+l- decays indicate that these transitions could be measurable in LHCb in near future. The magnetic moments of the recently observed resonance Xb(5568) by D0 Collaboration and its partner with charm quark are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules, by assuming that these resonances are represented as tetraquark states with quantum numbers JPC=1+±.
