The emergence of interactive media with a stronger interactive potential presents new and important social questions, above all regarding the particularities and consequences of the mediated interaction. In this context, we are confronted with the following problems: how do we interact through the media? In which way the media are able to reinforce or limit individual ability to interact socially? This article1describes the interactive process and seeks possible explanations for the mediated interactive modus, calling the attention for the presence of stigma and alterity in cyberspace.
