The European cultural landscape and its traditional values represent a significant condition for recreation and tourism. However, we are aware of the negative consequences of human activity in the past years in rural areas and pay more attention to protecting these values. Modern rural recreation and tourism must be built on scientific background. That is why the presented contribution brings an innovative integrated approach to sustainable rural recreation and tourism model by applying landscape ecological planning methodology with a combination of ecological stability and landscape character assessment. It deals with the qualitative evaluation of the landscape potential of the foothill village of Podkonice in Slovakia and the possibilities of its use in sustainable rural tourism. Determining the potential in confrontation with different forms of tourism activities can help achieve a sustainable tourism concept. The main result of the presented research is the final optimal selection of activities and use of the landscape with regard to the development of tourism. Such a proposal can be used in spatial planning and strategic decision-making processes not only in the study area, but it can be applied in the European context.

The study presents how the system of legal protection since the turn of the 1980sand 1990s, as a consequence of the changed international, political and economic circumstances, has been transformed in Hungary according to the requirements of a modern constitutional state. Giving information on the relevant historical-legal antecedents in Hungary, the then arising practical exigencies and different recently applied models in Western democracies, taken as starting points during the elaboration of the reform, the pros and cons of the latters,the study analyses the solutions introduced at the time of the change of the political-economicregime, their later developments, as well as the present-day system of legal protection in Hungary, making mentions of problems, too, which arise in some respects even nowadays. Taking all these into account, a comprehensive information is given in thestudy on the establishment of the Parliamentary Commissioners for Civic Rights and of the ConstitutionalCourt in Hungary, on the prosecutor's (procurator's) offices and courts of justice, focusingon the relating constitutional principles, their organisation, competences, guarantees of independenceand staff problems alike.

In vivofunction of the molecular chaperone Hsp90 is ATP-dependent and requires the full-length protein. Our earlier studies predicted a second C-terminal ATP-binding site in Hsp90. By applying direct biochemical approaches, we mapped two ATP-binding sites and unveiled the C-terminal ATP-binding site as the first example of a cryptic chaperone nucleotide-binding site, which is opened by occupancy of the N-terminal site. We identified an N-terminal γ−phosphate-binding motif in the middle domain of Hsp90 similar to other GHKL family members. This motif is adjacent to the phosphate-binding region of the C-terminal ATP-binding site. Whereas novobiocin disrupts both C- and N-terminal nucleotide binding, we found a selective C-terminal nucleotide competitor, cisplatin, that strengthens the Hsp90-Hsp70 complex leaving the Hsp90-p23 complex intact. Cisplatin may provide a pharmacological tool to dissect C- and N-terminal nucleotide binding of Hsp90. A model is proposed on the interactions of the two nucleotide-binding domains and the charged region of Hsp90.
