One of the main goals of the COMPASS experiment at CERN is the measurement of the gluon polarization in the nucleon, ΔG, by scattering of 160 GeV/c polarized muons on a polarized 6 LiD target. This quantity is experimentally accessible via the photon-gluon fusion process, tagged either by charmed mesons production or by high hadron pairs production. The status of these two analyses is presented. Preliminary results obtained from the 2002/03 data samples on the and the channels are shown. The high hadron pairs, produced at , were also analysed, and the measured values are presented here. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
