Indoor localization availability is still sporadic in industry, especially at the black-hole, i.e., there only exist cellular signals, no GPS or WiFi signals. Based on our 2-year observations at the DiDi ride-hailing platform in China, there are $ 68\,\text{k}$68k orders everyday created at black-hole. In this paper, we present TransparentLoc, a large-scale cellular localization system for pickup position recommendation of the DiDi platform. Specifically, we design a CNN model for real-time localization based on a crowdsourcing fingerprint set constructed by outdoor trajectories and abnormal cell tower detection. Then we leverage a DeepFM model to recommend an optimal pickup position for passengers. We share our 2-year experience with 50 million orders across 13 million devices in 4541 cities to address practical challenges including sparse cell towers, unbalanced user fingerprints, temporal variations, and abnormal cell towers in terms of four major service metrics, i.e., pickup position error, over-30-meters ratio, cancel ratio, and call ratio. The large-scale evaluations show that our system achieves a $ 0.54\,\text{m}$0.54m lower median pickup position error compared to the iOS built-in cellular localization system, regardless of environmental changes, smartphone brands/models, time, and cellular providers. Additionally, the over-30-meters ratio, cancel ratio, and call ratio have significant reductions of 0.88%, 0.88%, and 5.13%, respectively.

The field coil short-circuit (FCSC) fault is a crucial factor that contributes to the severe vibration of the synchronous generators. The accurate detection of FCSC is of great significance as it facilitates a quicker confirmation and processing, and the key is to adopt a feasible real-time acquisition scheme for fault characteristics. According to the structural characteristics of the synchronous generator, we studied the magnetic bypass and shunt effect resulting from the structural components utilized to fix the stator core. A scheme of installing a magnetic flux detection coil on the back of the stator core of the synchronous generator was proposed. By analyzing the characteristic harmonics in the induced voltage of the detection coil, our proposed method is capable of detecting FCSC faults in the synchronous generator in real-time. A finite-element simulation model was established for a 334 MVA salient pole synchronous generator for method verification. The characteristic harmonic amplitudes of the induced voltages in the flux detection coil under different FCSC degrees were obtained. Also, several tests were conducted on a prototype synchronous generator with the type of MJF-30-6. The FCSC with varying fault degrees were simulated and the induced voltage signals of the flux detection coil were collected. Both simulation and test results validate our method in detecting the FCSC faults in synchronous generators. Additionally, our method also addresses the security concerns associated with sensor layout and offers a feasible solution for FCSC fault detection in synchronous generators.

Northeast China is an important base for grain production, dominated by rain-fed agriculture that relies on green water. However, in the context of global climate change, rising regional temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and increasing drought frequency pose threats and challenges to agricultural green water security. This study provides a detailed assessment of the spatiotemporal characteristics and development trends of green water security risks in the Northeast region under the base period (2001–2020) and the future (2031–2090) climate change scenarios (SSP245 and SSP585) using the green water scarcity (GWS) index based on raster-scale crop spatial distribution data, Delta downscaling bias-corrected ERA5 data, and CMIP6 multimodal data. During the base period, the green water risk-free zone for dry crops is mainly distributed in the center and east of the Northeast region (72.4% of the total area), the low-risk zone is primarily located in the center (14.0%), and the medium-risk (8.3%) and high-risk (5.3%) zones are mostly in the west. Under SSP245 and SSP585 future climate change scenarios, the green water security risk shows an overall expansion from the west to the center and east, with the low-risk zone increasing to 21.6% and 23.8%, the medium-risk zone increasing to 16.0% and 17.9%, and the high-risk zone increasing to 6.9% and 6.8%, respectively. Considering dry crops with GWS greater than 0.1 as in need of irrigation, the irrigated area increases from 27.6% (base period) to 44.5% (SSP245) and 48.6% (SSP585), with corresponding increases in irrigation water requirement (IWR) of 4.64 and 5.92 billion m3, respectively, which further exacerbates conflicts between supply and demand of agricultural water resources. In response to agricultural green water security risks, coping strategies such as evapotranspiration (ET)-based water resource management for dry crops and deficit irrigation are proposed. The results of this study can provide scientific basis and decision support for the development of Northeast irrigated agriculture and the construction planning of the national water network.

The World Health Organization has updated their classification system for the diagnosis of gliomas, combining histological features with molecular data including isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 and codeletion of chromosomal arms 1p and 19q. 1p/19q codeletion analysis is commonly performed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). In this study, we developed a 57-gene targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) panel including 1p/19q codeletion detection mainly to assess diagnosis and potential treatment response in melanoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, and glioma patients. Loss of heterozygosity analysis was performed using the NGS method on 37 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded glioma tissues that showed 1p and/or 19q loss determined by FISH. Conventional methods were applied for the validation of some glioma-related gene mutations. In 81.1% (30 of 37) and 94.6% (35 of 37) of cases, 1p and 19q were found to be in agreement whereas concordance for 1p/19q codeletion and no 1p/19q codeletion was found in 94.7% (18 of 19) and 94.4% (17 of 18) of cases, respectively. Overall, comparing NGS results with those of conventional methods showed high concordance. In conclusion, the NGS panel allows reliable analysis of 1p/19q codeletion and mutation at the same time.

As a challenge to avoid the strength-ductility trade-off for Ti alloys, strength and ductility are contradictory, especially at a high content of primary α phase. This study proposed a new strategy to evade this trade-off dilemma by designing an 81% primary α phase/ultrafine-grained (UFG) secondary α phase lamellar heterogeneous structure(LPSlow-HS) in near-α Ti alloys. Compared to the bimodal structure, the LPSlow-HS offers a remarkable increase in the ultimate tensile strength(1119 MPa) and yield strength(1069 MPa), respectively, while the elongation (15%) is not sacrificed. Owing to the strong heterogeneous deformation-induced(HDI) strengthening, more number of delamination of interfaces, UFG microstructures and strong strain hardening render the Ti alloys high strength. This strategy may provide a new approach for achieving higher HDI strengthening effects in heterogeneous structures (HS) under high soft phases, and offer a feasible method for producing high strength-ductility Ti alloys under high primary α phase.

Abstract: Here we present a statistical model of random wave, using Stokes wave theory of water wave dynamics, as well as a new nonlinear probability distribution function of wave height in shallow water. It is more physically logical to use the wave steepness of shallow water and the factor of shallow water as the parameters in the wave height distribution. The results indicate that the two parameters not only could be parameters of the distribution function of wave height but also could reflect the degree of wave height distribution deviation from the Rayleigh distribution. The new wave height distribution overcomes the problem of Rayleigh distribution that the prediction of big wave is overestimated and the general wave is underestimated. The prediction of small probability wave height value of new distribution is also smaller than that of Rayleigh distribution. The effect of wave steepness in shallow water is similar to that in deep water; but the factor of shallow water lowers the wave height distribution of the general wave with the reduced factor of wave steepness. It also makes the wave height distribution of shallow water more centralized. The results indicate that the new distribution fits the in situ measurements much better than other distributions.

The stray flux (SF) at the back of the stator core of pumped storage unit (PSU) can provide an effective response to the operating condition of the rotor winding. This study investigates the SF characteristics of the rotor winding before and after an interturn short circuit (ITSC), with a view to achieving online monitoring of the interturn insulation health level. First, the expressions for the SF in the healthy state and ITSC state of the rotor winding are derived, obtaining the characteristic harmonics of SF corresponding to the different states. Second, the sensing mechanism of reflective magneto-optical crystal is analyzed, on the basis of which an optical fiber weak magnetic (OFWM) detection system is built and a conversion expression between the Faraday magneto-optical deflection angle and the flux density is obtained. Third, a two-dimensional finite element simulation model is built based on the actual dimensions of the operating PSU, according to which the evolution of the time/frequency domain characteristics of the radial SF before and after the ITSC fault is analyzed, obtaining the peak radial SFes of no-load/load conditions are 111 μT and 115 μT, respectively, which can provide a reference for the design of OFWM sensor. Finally, the OFWM probe is calibrated with a sensitivity of 0.244 mrad/μT and a lower detection limit of 0.1 μTrms. The probe is fixed vertically to the stator housing of the synchronous generator for real-time monitoring, and the radial SF information is collected at different levels of ITSC, with the peak values are 2.57 μT and 2.81 μT for no-load/load conditions, respectively. The monitoring results demonstrate that the changes in the time domain characteristic waveform and spectral characteristic harmonics of the SF can effectively characterize the rotor winding interturn insulation health level, which expands a new technical path for rotor winding ITSC condition monitoring.

The inverter nonlinearity and the flux spatial harmonics will lead to noticeable $(6k \pm 1)\text{th}$ harmonics in the observed back electromotive force (EMF), causing $(6k)\text{th}$ pulsations in the rotor position estimation error and deteriorating the performance of sensorless interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drives. To improve the sensorless IPMSM control accuracy, a multiple discrete adaptive filter (MDAF) embedded between sliding mode observer and normalized quadrature phase-locked loop is adopted to solve the above problem in this article. The MDAF consists of a fundamental extraction block and a harmonic cancellation block. Harmonic cancellation works similarly to fundamental extraction, simply by removing the dominant fifth and seventh harmonics from the distorted back-EMF in a frequency multiplicative manner. The proposed algorithm is designed directly in the discrete domain, avoiding the complex discretization process. The open-loop amplitude-frequency characteristic curves show that the method is able to achieve infinite gain exactly at the expected frequency, thus allowing closed-loop zero steady-state error tracking of the back-EMF and providing higher precision for harmonic estimation. The excellent performance of the suggested method is validated based on a 1.5 kW sensorless IPMSM control system.

Developing deNOxcatalysts with lower activity temperatures range significantly reduces NH3selective catalytic reduction (SCR) operating costs for low-temperature industrial flue gases. Herein, a novel FeVO4/CeO2catalyst with great low-temperature NH3-SCR and nitrogen selectivity was synthesized using a dipping method. Characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, specific surface and porosity analysis, H2temperature-programmed reduction, NH3temperature-programmed desorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and the in situ diffused reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy were used to investigate the catalytic mechanism. An appropriate addition for FeVO4in the catalyst was 5 wt.% from the results, and the active substance content reached the maximum dispersal capacity of the carrier. The NOxconversion exceeded 90%, and the nitrogen selectivity was more than 98% over this catalyst at 200–350 °C. The activity was kept at 88% after 7.5 h of reaction at 200 °C for 7.5 h in 35 mg m−3SO2gas. The remarkable deNOxactivity, nitrogen selectivity, and sulphur resistance performances are attributed to the low redox temperature, the abundance of medium-strong acid and strong acid sites, the sufficient adsorbed oxygen, and the superior Fe2+content on the surface. The Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanism was observed on the FeVO4/CeO2catalyst in the NH3selective catalytic reduction of NOx.

Nanoscale dispersoids will retard or inhibit recrystallization of aluminum alloys during thermomechanical processes. In the present study, the influence of an addition of 0.6 wt. % Cu on the precipitation behavior of dispersoids in an Al-Mg-Si-Mn-Cr alloy had been investigated. Large amounts of dispersoids with different shapes, e.g. cubic, rod-like and plate-like, were achieved in the experimental alloys after homogenization. Compared with the Cu-free alloy, Cu-added alloy exhibits a higher proportion of cubic shape dispersoid. HRTEM results indicated that the cubic shape dispersoid has an icosahedral quasicrystal structure, while the rod-like or plate-like shape dispersoids show a simple cubic crystal structure. Due to the presence of a high number density of quasicrystalline dispersoids, the Cu-added alloy exhibits a higher recrystallization resistance during hot compression. This study presents a new insight that besides the precipitation strengthening, the Cu alloying in an Al-Mg-Si-Mn-Cr alloy can also contributes to the precipitation of dispersoids.

As a common complaint in contemporary society, mental fatigue is a key element in the deterioration of the daily activities known as time-on-task (TOT) effect, making the prediction of fatigue-related performance decline exceedingly important. However, conventional group-level brain-behavioral correlation analysis has the limitation of generalizability to unseen individuals and fatigue prediction at individual-level is challenging due to the significant differences between individuals both in task performance efficiency and brain activities. Here, we introduced a cross-validated data-driven analysis framework to explore, for the first time, the feasibility of utilizing pre-task idiosyncratic resting-state functional connectivity (FC) on the prediction of fatigue-related task performance degradation at individual level. Specifically, two behavioral metrics, namely $\Delta$RT (between the most vigilant and fatigued states) and $TOT_{slope}$ over the course of the 15-min sustained attention task, were estimated among three sessions from 37 healthy subjects to represent fatigue-related individual behavioral impairment. Then, a connectome-based prediction model was employed on pre-task resting-state FC features, identifying the network-related differences that contributed to the prediction of performance deterioration. As expected, prominent populational TOT-related performance declines were revealed across three sessions accompanied with substantial inter-individual differences. More importantly, we achieved significantly high accuracies for individualized prediction of both TOT-related behavioral impairment metrics using pre-task neuroimaging features. Despite the distinct patterns between both behavioral metrics, the identified top FC features contributing to the individualized predictions were mainly resided within/between frontal, temporal and parietal areas. Overall, our results of individualized prediction framework extended conventional correlation/classification analysis and may represent a promising avenue for the development of applicable techniques that allow precaution of the TOT-related performance declines in real-world scenarios.

Stator core vibration (SCV) response of pumped storage units (PSU) can effectively reflect its operation status and provide reference for excitation winding inter-turn short circuit (ITSC) fault diagnosis. Considering that traditional piezoelectric acceleration sensors (PAS) are difficult to be installed on the stator core surface, this study proposes an online monitoring method based on fiber optic vibration sensing (FOVS). Firstly, this study derives the SCV response equations for the normal and ITSC states of the excitation winding, and obtains the vibration characteristic harmonics corresponding to each state. Secondly, a three-dimensional finite element simulation model of PSU with a generating capacity of 278 MVA is built, and the acceleration amplitude and characteristic frequency harmonics of the stator core are calculated to provide a reference for fiber optic vibration detection. Thirdly, this study focuses on the principle of modulation and demodulation of optical phase, builds an optical frequency-domain reflectometer (OFDR) - based FOVS system, and calibrates its sensitivity, amplitude and frequency characteristics as well as the lower detection limit. Finally, FOVS probes are installed on the surface of synchronous generator stator core to capture the vibration signals under different degrees of ITSC, and compared with the collected signals of PAS. The experimental results prove that the proposed method has obvious advantages in vibration monitoring in the low frequency band below 100 Hz.

The printability of Al6SiMg0·5Er1·0Zr alloy at various laser power, scan speed, and hatch spacing was investigated. The optimal processing window was determined. The relationship between hatch spacing and lack of fusion (LOF) defects and microstructure is discussed. Hatch spacing significantly affects the cellular size, which is formed by eutectic Si network, and medium hatch spacing can achieve the finest microstructure. Samples with high densities and fine microstructures were investigated more carefully. The grain and cellular boundaries have many Al3(Er,Zr) phases. The grain size was refined to 2.64 μm, and the epitaxial growth of columnar crystals was completely suppressed. The cellular structure has been significantly improved. Get the equiaxed - ultrafine equiaxed - columnar multi-cellular structure with dramatically enhanced mechanical properties. The yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation were 373 Mpa, 480 MPa, and 5.5%, respectively. Grain boundary strengthening and Orowan strengthening was the main strengthening mechanisms.

The occurrence of a major medical event usually leads to a surge in the generation of medical waste. If the waste generated is not disposed of in a timely manner, it can pose a great threat to humans and the surrounding environment. Based on the large volume and hazardous nature of medical waste, this research explores the social value and importance of establishing a professional network for medical waste reverse logistics. A three-tier recycling network model consisting of recycling centres, testing and processing centres, reprocessing centres, power plants and landfill plants has been developed based on the special characteristics of medical waste. A mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model was developed with the goal of minimizing costs. Genetic algorithm, MILP solver and Lingo solver are used to solve the problem of node selection and waste recycling volume allocation in the network. Several datasets were utilized to verify the effectiveness, demonstrating better solutions for problems of varying sizes. The results of the case study show that genetic algorithm can show good results in solving problems of different sizes. The solver's ability to solve the problem decreases as it grows in size. By comparing the methods used, choosing an efficient and accurate approach to the reverse logistics recovery problem has become more achievable. The results of the case study show the stability of the reverse logistics optimization model at different scales. The construction of the reverse logistics network optimization model resulted in lower total recycling costs and higher recycling efficiency. Finally, some insights are given based on the obtained results.

Emerging evidence supports shifting the focus from the quantity of macronutrients to quality to obtain greater benefits for the prognosis of ovarian cancer (OC). Additionally, despite the high relevance between macronutrient quality and quantity, the interaction of these parameters on OC survival remains unknown.

High-molecular-weight glutenin subunits (HMW-GSs) are the most critical grain storage proteins that determine the unique processing qualities of wheat. Although it is a part of the superior HMW-GS pair (Dx5+Dy10), the contribution of the Dy10 subunit to wheat processing quality remains unclear. In this study, we elucidated the effect of Dy10 on wheat processing quality by generating and analyzing a deletion mutant (with the Dy10-nullallele), and by elucidating the changes to wheat flour following the incorporation of purified Dy10. The Dy10-nullallele was transcribed normally, but the Dy10 subunit was lacking. These findings implied that the Dy10-nullallele reduced the glutenin:gliadin ratio and negatively affected dough strength (i.e., Zeleny sedimentation value, gluten index, and dough development and stability times) and the bread-making quality; however, it positively affected the biscuit-making quality. The incorporation of various amounts of purified Dy10 into wheat flour had a detrimental effect on biscuit-making quality. The results of this study demonstrate that the Dy10 subunit is essential for maintaining wheat dough strength. Furthermore, the Dy10-nullallele may be exploited by soft wheat breeding programs.

This work aims to study the influence of laser power on the microstructural evolution of novel Ti–6Zr–5Fe alloy fabricated by selective laser melting (SLM). The microstructural evolutions of all top surfaces in SLM Ti–6Zr–5Fe alloy samples fabricated from 80 W to 140 W were investigated in depth. The microstructure in SLM Ti–6Zr–5Fe alloy includes α phase and β phase, the size of the β phase and α phase increases with the increase of laser power due to the decrease of cooling rate. Meanwhile, the melt pool overlapping width increases with the increase of melt pool width due to the increase of laser power. The increase of melt pool overlapping causes the re-heating or re-melting of SLM Ti–6Zr–5Fe alloy. Moreover, as the laser power increases from 80 W to 140 W, the change of the melt pool greatly influenced the size, morphology, crystallographic orientation of the β phase, and their distributions. The increase of laser power causes adequate precipitation of the α phase, which improves the microhardness from 466 HV to 533 HV. The laser power can effectively regulate and control the microstructure and microhardness of SLM Ti alloys.

The bacterial colonization of surfaces and subsequent biofilm formation are a great threat in medical therapy and clinical diagnosis. The complex internal structure and composition sets an enormous obstacle for the localization and removal of biofilms. In this study, we proposed a novel biofilm-targeted nanocontainer with successive responsive property toward pH and ATP for precise localization and simultaneous bacterial eradication, with an acidic and adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-rich microenvironment within biofilms, formed due to the accumulation of fatty acids and ATP in the three-dimensional enclosed structure, integrated as two successive indicators to improve the precision of biofilm identification and removal. The biofilm-targeted nanocontainer was composed of a ATP-responsive zeolitic imidazolate framework-90 (ZIF-90) core loaded with Rho 6G and doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX) encapsulated in the pH-responsive amorphous calcium carbonate/poly(acrylic acid) (ACC/PAA) shell. In the presence of biofilms, the ACC/PAA shell and ZIF-90 core were successively degraded by the accumulated H+and ATP within biofilms, resulting in the release of fluorescence indicators and antimicrobial agents. On the other hand, to meet the application requirements of different biofilm scenarios, the pH response ability of the nanocontainers could be adjusted by changing the metallic ions (Ni2+, Zn2+, and Cu2+) doped into the structure of the ACC/PAA shell. Owing to excellent water dispersion of the pH/ATP double-responsive ZIF-90@Zn-ACC/PAA nanocontainer, precise localization and simultaneous bacterial eradication was successfully realized viaa simple spray process. The successive pH/ATP two-step unlocking processes endowed the nanocontainers high precision for localization and simultaneous eradication of biofilms, which made the proposed nanocontainers high promising in food safety and medical treatment.

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is the primary energy carrier for intracellular metabolic processes. Accurate and rapid detection of ATP has important implications for clinical diagnosis. In this work, we reported a dual-emission ratiometric fluorescent probe Cu NCs–Al@ZIF-90 formed by encapsulating copper nanoclusters (Cu NCs) into zeolitic imidazolate framework-90 (ZIF-90) using a simple one-pot method. Cu NCs exhibited a remarkable fluorescence enhancement in the presence of aluminum ions due to the aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties. When ATP existed, the Zn2+nodes in the MOF material acted as selective sites for ATP recognition, resulting in the cleavage of Cu NCs–Al@ZIF-90. As a consequence, two reverse fluorescence changes were observed from released Cu NCs at 620 nm and imidazole-2-carboxaldehyde (2-ICA) at 450 nm, respectively. With the dual-emission ratiometric strategy, efficient and rapid determination of ATP was realized, giving a detection limit down to 0.034 mM in the concentration range of 0.2 mM to 0.625 mM. The convenient synthesis process and the rapid ATP-responsive ability made the proposed Cu NCs–Al@ZIF-90 probe highly promising in clinical and environmental analysis.

Although the relationship between anesthesia and consciousness has been investigated for decades, our understanding of the underlying neural mechanisms of anesthesia and consciousness remains rudimentary, which limits the development of systems for anesthesia monitoring and consciousness evaluation. Moreover, the current practices for anesthesia monitoring are mainly based on methods that do not provide adequate information and may present obstacles to the precise application of anesthesia. Most recently, there has been a growing trend to utilize brain network analysis to reveal the mechanisms of anesthesia, with the aim of providing novel insights to promote practical application. This review summarizes recent research on brain network studies of anesthesia, and compares the underlying neural mechanisms of consciousness and anesthesia along with the neural signs and measures of the distinct aspects of neural activity. Using the theory of cortical fragmentation as a starting point, we introduce important methods and research involving connectivity and network analysis. We demonstrate that whole-brain multimodal network data can provide important supplementary clinical information. More importantly, this review posits that brain network methods, if simplified, will likely play an important role in improving the current clinical anesthesia monitoring systems.

In order to improve the mechanical properties of Al–Si alloys fabricated by selective laser melting process, the microstructure and mechanical properties of Er/Zr modified A357 (Al–7Si-0.6 Mg) alloy in as-built and stress relief annealing conditions were studied. The results show that adding 0.15 wt.% Er helps to refine the cellular size, which is formed by eutectic Si network. The (Al,Si)3(Er,Zr) phases were precipitated during the solidification of Er–Zr composite modified sample, which could act as inoculants to promote the formation of equiaxed grains and refine the grain size. The average grain size of 0.8Er-0.4Zr sample was only 3.1 ± 1.4 μm. The yield strength, tensile strength and elongation reached 333 ± 2 MPa, 454 ± 1 MPa and 12.5 ± 1%, respectively. After stress relief annealing, eutectic Si was spheroidized and its size was increased, resulting in a decrease of strength and an increase of elongation. At the same time, the nano-sized L12-structure particles were precipitated in the Er–Zr composite modified sample, which would make up for the loss of strength and level it up to a certain extent. Therefore, Er–Zr composite modification could be an effective method to improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of SLM processed Al–Si alloys.

Damage to peritubular capillaries is a key process that contributes to acute kidney injury (AKI) progression. Vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) plays a critical role in maintaining the renal microvasculature. However, the physiological role of VEGFA in various AKI durations remains unclear. A severe unilateral ischemia‒reperfusion injury model was established to provide an overview of VEGFA expression and the peritubular microvascular density from acute to chronic injury in mouse kidneys. Therapeutic strategies involving early VEGFA supplementation protecting against acute injury and late anti-VEGFA treatment for fibrosis alleviation were analyzed. A proteomic analysis was conducted to determine the potential mechanism of renal fibrosis alleviation by anti-VEGFA. The results showed that two peaks of extraglomerular VEGFA expression were observed during AKI progression: one occurred at the early phase of AKI, and the other occurred during the transition to chronic kidney disease (CKD). Capillary rarefaction progressed despite the high expression of VEGFA at the CKD stage, and VEGFA was associated with interstitial fibrosis. Early VEGFA supplementation protected against renal injury by preserving microvessel structures and counteracting secondary tubular hypoxic insults, whereas late anti-VEGFA treatment attenuated renal fibrosis progression. The proteomic analysis highlighted an array of biological processes related to fibrosis alleviation by anti-VEGFA, which included regulation of supramolecular fiber organization, cell-matrix adhesion, fibroblast migration, and vasculogenesis. These findings establish the landscape of VEGFA expression and its dual roles during AKI progression, which provides the possibility for the orderly regulation of VEGFA to alleviate early acute injury and late fibrosis.

Background: Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a disease state that has an unclear pathogenesis, imposes a substantial burden on individuals and society. Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the most significant triggers of PTSD. Identifying biomarkers associated with TBI-related PTSD will help researchers to uncover the underlying mechanism that drives disease development. Furthermore, it remains to be confirmed whether different types of traumas share a common mechanism of action. Methods: For this study, we screened the eligible data sets from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, obtained differentially expressed genes (DEGs) through analysis, conducted functional enrichment analysis on the DEGs in order to understand their molecular mechanisms, constructed a PPI network, used various algorithms to obtain hub genes, and finally evaluated, validated, and analyzed the diagnostic performance of the hub genes. Results: A total of 430 upregulated and 992 down-regulated differentially expressed genes were extracted from the TBI data set. A total of 1919 upregulated and 851 down-regulated differentially expressed genes were extracted from the PTSD data set. Functional enrichment analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes had biological functions linked to molecular regulation, cell signaling transduction, cell metabolic regulation, and immune response. After constructing a PPI network and introducing algorithm analysis, the upregulated hub genes were identified as VNN1, SERPINB2, and ETFDH, and the down-regulated hub genes were identified as FLT3LG, DYRK1A, DCN, and FKBP8. In addition, by comparing the data with patients with other types of trauma, it was revealed that PTSD showed different molecular processes that are under the influence of different trauma characteristics and responses. Conclusions: By exploring the role of different types of traumas during the pathogenesis of PTSD, its possible molecular mechanisms have been revealed, providing vital information for understanding the complex pathways associated with TBI-related PTSD. The data in this study has important implications for the design and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods needed to treat and manage PTSD.

The Qinling mountains are one of the richest diversity hotspots in the world. This area is remote, and new species remain to be discovered, including macrofungi. In this study, Qinling Mountain of the Shaanxi province was surveyed for macrofungus, and one new species of macrofungi Microstoma ningshanica(Sarcoscyphaceae) was discovered and analyzed by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy as well as DNA sequence analysis. The description, photographs, and comparisons with morphologically similar and phylogenetically related species are provided. Conclusions of its phylogenetic relationships with similar species are also drawn based on the sequence of the nuclear internal transcribed spacer region, as well as the large subunit rRNA.

The unbalanced industrial development in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei leads to the economic development with increasingly prominent environmental problems, which is not conducive to the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. This research constructs a composite multiple mediation model with government factors as independent variables, market factors, technological innovation, and location factors as mediating variables, and coordinated development as outcome variables to conduct an empirical study. The PLS-SEM method was used to evaluate and test the initial model and the modified model. After several fittings, the optimal model is obtained, the study found that the mediating effect value of technological innovation was the largest between government factors to coordinated development effects, followed by the mediating variables location factors and market factors. It is recommended to build a common research and sharing mechanism for green technological innovation in pollution reduction and accelerate the speed of transformation of green achievements; build an internal and external construction mechanism based on thermal power and other high haze pollution industrial systems to improve the proportion of high quality population; build a financial hierarchical expenditure guarantee mechanism and strive to create an environment open to foreign business.

Microstructural evolution and its effect on microhardness and Young's modulus of Ti–6Zr–4Fe alloy solution and aging treated at different temperatures were studied. The α phase transformed into β phase completely at 860 °C, meanwhile, the athermal ω phase was found at 860 °C and it resulted in a higher Young's modulus. The ω phase content increased from 250 °C to 400 °C, and the content decreased with further increase of aging temperature, there were only α phase and β phase at 600 °C. The phase transformation sequence was β → ω + β → ω + α + β → α + β during aging treatment. The microhardness increased from 315 HV to 492 HV due to the element solution strengthening and phase transformation strengthening. The peak microhardness of Ti–6Zr–4Fe alloy aged at 400 °C reached 652 HV. The formation of ω phase resulted in the increase of microhardness and Young's modulus in Ti–6Zr–4Fe alloy.

In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economy, high haze industries such as thermal power industry in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region have been over concentrated, and the environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious. The formulation and implementation of various policies play a crucial role in the coordinated development of high haze industries such as thermal power industry and economy in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei​ region. Based on the supply and demand matching for policies related to the coordinated development of high haze industries such as thermal power industry and economy in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, the paper constructs the matching model relevant to the issue as mentioned above, and the evaluation index system of fiscal policy, tax, finance, technology, and public policy through literature analysis and variance analysis, with an aim to analyze the matching degree of policy supply and demand. The results show that: the fiscal policy matches very well, the tax policy matches well, the financial policy and the technology policy barely match, and the matching of public service policy is out of balance. According to the supply and demand matching for policies related to the coordinated development of high haze industries such as thermal power industry and economy in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, the paper puts forward some suggestions for optimizing the following aspects: strengthening the financial investment policy, perfecting the tax types, deepening the green credit policy, strengthening the technical cooperation policy, and improving the monitoring and warning policy in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. It aims to help promote industrial transformation and upgrading and realize the high-quality economic development in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region.

The effects of the base material (BM) location on the mechanical properties and the exfoliation corrosion performance of friction-stir-welded (FSWed) dissimilar 2024-to-5083 aluminum alloy joints were investigated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), tensile tests and electrochemical experiments were conducted. The results revealed that the BM location had little effect on the tensile properties of the joints. The grain orientation spread (GOS) value of 2024 alloy side was lower than that of 5083 alloy side. Intergranular corrosion occurred mainly on the 2024 alloy side, while the grain interior of the 5083 alloy side was corroded due to the higher GOS value and dislocation density. The FSWed dissimilar joints with a superior exfoliation corrosion resistance could be achieved when the 5083 aluminum alloy with better corrosion performance was positioned on the retreating side.

Glaciers are highly sensitive to climate change and are undergoing significant changes in mid-latitudes. In this study, we analyzed the spatiotemporal changes of typical glaciers and their responses to climate change in the period of 1990–2015 in 4 different mountainous sub-regions in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of Northwest China: the Bogda Peak and Karlik Mountain sub-regions in the Tianshan Mountains; the Yinsugaiti Glacier sub-region in the Karakorum Mountains; and the Youyi Peak sub-region in the Altay Mountains. The standardized snow cover index (NDSI) and correlation analysis were used to reveal the glacier area changes in the 4 sub-regions from 1990 to 2015. Glacial areas in the Bogda Peak, Karlik Mountain, Yinsugaiti Glacier, and Youyi Peak sub-regions in the period of 1990–2015 decreased by 57.7, 369.1, 369.1, and 170.4 km2, respectively. Analysis of glacier area center of gravity showed that quadrant changes of glacier areas in the 4 sub-regions moved towards the origin. Glacier area on the south aspect of the Karlik Mountain sub-region was larger than that on the north aspect, while glacier areas on the north aspect of the other 3 sub-regions were larger than those on the south aspect. Increased precipitation in the Karlik Mountain sub-region inhibited the retreat of glaciers to a certain extent. However, glacier area changes in the Bogda Peak and Youyi Peak sub-regions were not sensitive to the increased precipitation. On a seasonal time scale, glacier area changes in the Bogda Peak, Karlik Mountain, Yinsugaiti Glacier, and Youyi Peak sub-regions were mainly caused by accumulated temperature in the wet season; on an annual time scale, the correlation coefficient between glacier area and annual average temperature was −0.72 and passed the significance test at P<0.05 level in the Karlik Mountain sub-region. The findings of this study can provide a scientific basis for water resources management in the arid and semi-arid regions of Northwest China in the context of global warming.

The Li4Ti5O12/Co3O4 composites were prepared by hydrothermal reaction method with different Co3O4 mass content (3%, 7%, 11%, and 15%). The Li4Ti5O12 nanoparticles were set in-situ on the Co3O4 sheet. Co ion was doped into the Li4Ti5O12 lattice. The first cycle specific capacity firstly increased and then decreased with Co3O4 content increasing, which the discharge capacity reached the peaking value that the first capacity was 1111 mAh/g and the specific discharge capacity retained 240 mAh/g after 200 cycles. After 200 cycles of charge and discharge, the retention of the capacity was 96.4% at 0.1 A/g, and the retention of the capacity was 98.4% at 0.5 A/g.

A three-dimensional numerical model coupling the macrosegregation and magnetohydrodynamic simulations was developed to investigate the effects of electromagnetic stirring (EMS) on the macrosegregation. The results show that a significant swirling flow was induced by the in-mold EMS, which further changed the shape of the solidification shell and homogenized the solute elements in mold. However, the effects were only confined to the initial billet shell. The improvement in centerline segregation was observed with the usage of the final EMS (F-EMS), which led to the forced convection at the final solidification stage. The solute elements in the mushy zone were significantly even, with the maximum segregation degree of solute C reducing from 1.311 to 1.237. In addition, the effects of the stirrer positions and currents of F-EMS on the macrosegregation alleviation were numerically studied. Different values of centerline segregation were predicted with various stirrer positions and currents, and there is an optimum stirrer parameter to obtain the best macrosegregation alleviation. In the experimental conditions, the optimum position was about 7 m away from meniscus, and the optimum current was 300 A.

The porosity, pore size and softening of 6063 aluminum alloy CMT MIX + Synchropulse welded joint with different welding speeds were studied. The results show that with the increase of welding speed (from 55 to 65 cm/min), the porosity increases dramatically (from 0.1% to 3.9%) and large pores (341.1 μm) appear. The pore size distributions are mainly concentrated at 87.8 and 20.6 μm in the joints produced from weld speeds of 65 and 55 cm/min, respectively. The dissolution and transformation of the β′′phase in the base metal (BM) result in a significant softening of both the fusion zone and heat-affected zone, and the latter was more serious. The effects of welding speed on the average tensile strength of the full penetration welded joints are minor, which was about 155 MPa (67.4% that of the BM).

A base-free bis-alkyl thiolation reaction of indoles with sulfinothioates under Pummerer-type conditions is described. Sulfinothioates, activated with 2,2,2-trifluoroacetic anhydride, are demonstrated to be an efficient thiolation reagent for wide applications. This approach enabled double C–H thiolation at the C2 and C3 of the indole in one pot. The mechanism studies suggested the thiolation was realized through the sulfoxonium salt rather than sulfenyl carboxylate.

In this paper, we present a robust and versatile method for developing non-label aptasensors with high sensitivity. Amyloid-like protein aggregates were facilely synthesized with the commonly used passivating agent bovine serum albumin (BSA) in developing biosensors, and the produced amyloid-like phase-transited BSA (PTB) exhibited excellent antifouling performances and robust interfacial adhesion with the electrode surface. In order to improve the detection sensitivity of electrochemical measurements, reduced graphene oxide was electrochemically deposited onto the electrode surface. Moreover, gold nanoparticles were introduced to enhance the conductivity of the PTB film and facilitate subsequent aptamer modification. Two common biological species, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and cytochrome c (cyt c), were chosen as detection targets, and their corresponding aptasensors were successfully constructed and systematically evaluated. The proposed aptasensors based on the PTB–Au antifouling composite exhibited high sensitivity and specificity towards ATP and cyt c detection, and the detection limits were calculated to be 0.26 nM and 0.64 nM for ATP and cyt c, respectively. Hence, this work provides a simple approach to develop highly sensitive aptasensors without any labeling process, and thus promises its great application in biological analysis.

ABSTRACTCholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is one of the most common histological types of primary hepatic malignancy and is associated with poor overall prognosis, causing a ponderous burden on human life. Hence, it is necessary to elucidate the pathogenesis of CCA. The objective of our research was to shed light on the mechanism through which long non-coding RNA titin-antisense RNA1 (lncRNA TTN-AS1) is involved in the development of CCA. Reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect TTN-AS1 expression in CCA samples and cells. Functional experiments were performed using the Cell Counting Kit-8, 5-ethynyl-2ʹ-deoxyuridine, transwell, and in vivotumor growth assays. The relationship between TTN-AS1, miR-513a-5p, and stratifin (SFN) was explored using a dual luciferase reporter assay, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) experiment, and Pearson correlation analysis. The result showed that TTN-AS1 and SFN are highly expressed in CCA tissues. Bioinformatics analysis, luciferase reporter and RIP experiments revealed the correlation between TTN-AS1, miR-513a-5p, and SFN. In addition, silencing TTN-AS1 mitigated CCA cell proliferation and migration. Mechanistically, miR-513a-5p is sponged by TTN-AS1. The miR-513a-5p inhibitor abolished the effect of TTN-AS1 silencing on the aggressive behaviors of CCA cells. Furthermore, we showed that miR-513a-5p is a regulator of CCA by targeting SFN. TTN-AS1 induced CCA cell growth and metastasis via the miR-513a-5p/SFN pathway, which offers a new strategy for therapeutic interventions for CCA.

Uppermost-internode diameter (UID) is a key morphological trait associated with spike development and yield potential in wheat. Our understanding of its genetic basis remains largely unknown. Here, quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for UID with high-density genetic maps were identified in five wheat recombinant inbred line (RIL) populations. In total, 25 QTLs for UID were detected in five RIL populations, and they were located on chromosomes 1A, 1D (3 QTL), 2B (2), 2D (3), 3B, 3D, 4A, 4B (3), 4D, 5A (5), 5B (2), 6B, and 7D. Of them, five major and stable QTLs (QUid.sau-2CN-1D.1, QUid.sau-2SY-1D, QUid.sau-QZ-2D, QUid.sau-SC-3D,and QUid.sau-AS-4B) were identified from each of the five RIL populations in multiple environments. QUid.sau-2CN-1D.1, QUid.sau-2SY-1Dand QUid.sau-SC-3Dare novel QTLs. Kompetitive Allele Specific PCR (KASP) markers tightly linked to them were further investigated for developing near-isogenic lines (NILs) carrying the major loci. Furthermore, candidate genes at these intervals harboring major and stable QTLs were predicted, and they were associated with plant development and water transportation in most cases. Comparison of physical locations of the identified QTL on the ‘Chinese Spring’ reference genome showed that several QTLs including two major ones, QUid.sau-2CN-1D.1and QUid.sau-2SY-1D,are likely allelic confirming their validity and effectiveness. The significant relationships detected between UID and other agronomic traits and a proper UID were discussed. Collectively, our results dissected the underlying genetic basis for UID in wheat and laid a foundation for further fine mapping and map-based cloning of these QTLs.

This work investigated the relationship between the morphology of AlFeSi intermetallics compounds (IMCs) and grains, and its influence on the corrosion behavior of the surface of Al–Mg–Si alloy laser welds. Due to the segregation of solute elements on the grain boundary, coarse AlFeSi IMCs were more likely to precipitate along the grain boundary. As a result, the “linear-like” AlFeSi IMCs was only found along the straight grain boundary of columnar grains, leading to the deterioration of corrosion resistance, but for the equiaxed grains, only small rod-like AlFeSi IMCs was along the grain boundary. Compared to the small rod-like AlFeSi IMCs at GBs of equiaxed grains, the “linear-like” AlFeSi IMCs at the straight GBs of columnar grains increased the interface area between α-Al, leading to a more evident intergranular corrosion at columnar boundary.

Rainwater harvested in cellars is widely used for domestic water supply in rural areas of Northwestern China to prevent water shortages. Microorganisms in rainwater harvesting cellar sediment (RHCS) are the driving force of elemental translocation and water purification in the rainwater cellar ecosystem. In this study, 16S-rRNA high-throughput gene sequencing and relevant analytical methods were used to explore the microbial community distribution, structure, function, and the influence of environmental factors of two different (cement and red clay) RHCS from peasant households in the arid and semi-arid regions of Northwestern China. Proteobacteria(γ-Proteobacteria) with Pseudomonadales(Pseudomonas) were the predominant microorganisms, playing an important role in the metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates, lipids, cofactors and vitamins, nucleotides, and xenobiotics. Taxa with lower relative abundance were able to metabolize terpenoids, polyketides, glycans, and other amino acids, promoting biosynthesis of other secondary metabolites as well as glycans. In addition, enzyme families were identified. Most bacterial phyla were negatively correlated with nitrate nitrogen (NO3--N), total nitrogen (TN), and organic matter, while ammonia nitrogen (NH4+-N) and total phosphorus (TP) were positively correlated with corresponding dominant microbial genera. Nearly all taxa were negatively correlated with TN. Strong functional associations existed between most microorganisms. This study provides a basis for the understanding of microbial community structures and relationships, as well as their relationships with environmental factors in RHCS. To improve rainwater quality, non-point pollution management and control methods are necessary, such as keeping the rainwater harvesting surface clean, discarding initial rainwater runoff, and guiding the rainwater flow path.

The effects of the heat treatment process parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a selective laser melted (SLMed) AlSi10Mg alloy were systematically investigated. The SLMed AlSi10Mg alloy was treated with T1 (180°C× 4h + air cooling) process, which had the microstructure of fine α-Al grains, fine Si phase, and nano-sized precipitations. The microhardness significantly increased to 150 HV, which is even higher than as-SLMed one (126 HV). The microhardness of SLMed AlSi10Mg alloy treated with T4 (540°C × 2h + water cooling) heat-treatment process significantly decreased to 62 HV due to the growth of α-Al grains, Si phase and the formation of β-AlFeSi phase. However, the microhardness and ultimate tensile strength of AlSi10Mg alloy treated with T6 (540°C × 2 h water cool + 180°C × 4 h air cool) process decreased to 91 HV, although the strengthening precipitation of Mg2Si phase formed. It indicates that the Mg2Si phase cannot compensate for the adverse effect of grain growth. It may provide the best potential heat treatment method for fabricating the high strength SLMed AlSi10Mg alloy.

A new type of near α high temperature titanium alloy of Ti-Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si-Er was studied. The samples with different primary α phase content were prepared by solid solution at 950 °C/1 h—1010 °C/1 h. The multi-step hot compression experiments were carried out by Gleeble-3500 in a sequence of upper region of α + β phase, then followed by lower region of α + β phase. The effects of primary α phase content and deformation temperature on the microstructure of the alloy were studied by means of true stress-strain curve and optical microscope. The results show that the content of primary α phase gradually decreases from 45.4% at 950°C to 0% at 1010°C. As the deformation temperature decreases from 940°C to 900°C, the content of α phase increases gradually from 65% to 94%, which is changed from dynamic recrystallization to deformed structure elongated along RD direction. It is found that the arrangement of α phase along RD direction is the longest at 920°C. With the increase of the deformation temperature in the multi-step high temperature region from 970°C to 990°C, the width of deformed α phase decreases from 3.64 μm at 970°C to 2.71 μm at 990°C. The optimized microstructure is composed of 20% primary α phase arranged along RD direction. This process has a certain potential in the process of hot deformation of the alloy. The microstructure evolution of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with erbium was studied by optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) during homogenization process. The results showed that there were serious component segregation in the as-cast structure of the alloy, mainly composed of T(AlZnMgCu) , S(Al2CuMg) and a small amount of Al8Cu4Er and Al7Cu2Fe. The overheating temperature of the alloy was 482.5 °C. After homogenized at 470 °C for 24 h, the dissolution of T(AlZnMgCu) phase and S(Al2CuMg) phase reached to a balance, but the residual Al8Cu4Er phase could not be dissolved completely. Compared with single-stage homogenization, Al3(Er,Zr) dispersion phase with smaller grain size and more uniform distribution can be obtained after two stage homogenization process of 400 °C for 8 h followed by 470 °C for 24 h. By comparing the residue of non-equilibrium eutectic phase, two-stage homogenization is the best.

The TiO2 nanotube arrays were prepared on Ti plate by anodizing technology, and then Co (OH)2 nanoparticles in-situ grew into TiO2 nanotubes with "Tube-particle bonding" nanocomposited structure. Co (OH)2 nanoparticles with a particle size of 40.5±8 nm were infiltrated in the TiO2 nanotube arrays, and the Co (OH)2 outside the tube presented a nanosheet structure. The specific capacitance of the Co (OH)2/TiO2 nanotube array composite reached 260 F/g at the current density~1 A/g. The capacity retention rate was 82.5 % after 2,000 cycles at the current density~5 A/g. The high-rate performance of the Co (OH)2/TiO2 nanotube array composite reached 210 F/g at the current density~10 A/g.

Long-term climate change and periodic environmental extremes threaten food and fuel security1and global crop productivity2–4. Although molecular and adaptive breeding strategies can buffer the effects of climatic stress and improve crop resilience5, these approaches require sufficient knowledge of the genes that underlie productivity and adaptation6—knowledge that has been limited to a small number of well-studied model systems. Here we present the assembly and annotation of the large and complex genome of the polyploid bioenergy crop switchgrass (Panicum virgatum). Analysis of biomass and survival among 732 resequenced genotypes, which were grown across 10 common gardens that span 1,800 km of latitude, jointly revealed extensive genomic evidence of climate adaptation. Climate–gene–biomass associations were abundant but varied considerably among deeply diverged gene pools. Furthermore, we found that gene flow accelerated climate adaptation during the postglacial colonization of northern habitats through introgression of alleles from a pre-adapted northern gene pool. The polyploid nature of switchgrass also enhanced adaptive potential through the fractionation of gene function, as there was an increased level of heritable genetic diversity on the nondominant subgenome. In addition to investigating patterns of climate adaptation, the genome resources and gene–trait associations developed here provide breeders with the necessary tools to increase switchgrass yield for the sustainable production of bioenergy.

This work investigated the transformation of Fe-bearing intermetallics and its influence on the corrosion behavior of Al–Mg–Si alloy weld joints. The results showed that the size and type of Fe-bearing intermetallics determined the pitting corrosion resistance of weldment regions. The partially melted zone (PMZ) suffered most serious corrosion attack, because of the formation of coarse needle-like β-AlFeSi. The heat-affected zone (HAZ) immediately behind the PMZ (HAZ-Ⅰ) experienced a complete transformation of β-AlFeSi into α-AlFeSi, but in the rest of the HAZ (HAZ-Ⅱ) was not sufficient for this transformation. Therefore, the HAZ-Ⅰ was more resistant to pitting corrosion than HAZ-Ⅱ.

The accurate identification of tissue origin in patients with metastatic cancer is critical for effective treatment selection but remains a challenge. The aim of this study is to develop a gene expression assay for tumor molecular classification and integrate it with clinicopathologic evaluations to identify the tissue origin for cancer of uncertain primary (CUP). A 90-gene expression signature, covering 21 tumor types, was identified and validated with an overall accuracy of 89.8% (95% CI, 0.87–0.92) in 609 tumor samples. More specifically, the classification accuracy reached 90.4% (95% CI, 0.87–0.93) for 323 primary tumors and 89.2% (95% CI, 0.85–0.92) for 286 metastatic tumors, with no statistically significant difference (P = 0.71). Furthermore, in a real-life cohort of 141 CUP patients, predictions by the 90-gene expression signature were consistent or compatible with the clinicopathologic features in 71.6% of patients (101/141). Findings suggest that this novel gene expression assay could efficiently predict the primary origin for a broad spectrum of tumor types and support its diagnostic utility of molecular classification in difficult-to-diagnose metastatic cancer. Additional studies are ongoing to further evaluate the clinical utility of this novel gene expression assay in predicting primary site and directing therapy for CUP patients.

A catalyst-free cross-dehydrogenative coupling reaction of purines and some azoarenes with dialkyl disulfides has been developed. This procedure provided a novel strategy to construct unsymmetrical disulfides through the α-heterocyclic functionalization of symmetrical dialkyl disulfides. The S–S bond was successfully tolerated in this transformation. The mild conditions and the broad scope of azoarenes indicated the potential application of this procedure.

Purpose Diabetes mellitus indicated poor clinical prognosis for patients with acute ischemic stroke. Furthermore, diabetes mellitus could also impact the hemostatic system, while its influence on the histological composition of thrombus is unclear.Methods Consecutive patients with retrieved clots were included. Histologic staining for thrombus included hematoxylin and eosin, Martius Scarlet Blue, immunohistochemistry for von Willebrand factor. The differences in clot composition were compared according to diabetes mellitus history or hyperglycemia (≥7.8 mmol/L) on admission.Results A total of 52 patients were included; half of them were diagnosed as diabetes mellitus previously. Diabetic patients showed higher serum glucose on admission (8.90 vs. 7.40, p = 0.012). The baseline characteristics (expect smoking history and thrombus location), procedural, and clinical outcomes were similar between diabetic patients and nondiabetic patients. As for histologic composition, thrombus in patients with diagnosed diabetes mellitus had more fibrin (44.2% vs. 28.3%, p = 0.004) and fewer red blood cells (26.0% vs. 42.9%, p = 0.013) and equivalent content of platelets (24.0% vs. 21.5%, p = 0.694) and von Willebrand factor (0.041 vs. 0.031, p = 0.234) than patients without diabetes mellitus. However, there was no statistical difference in the content of red blood cells (41.6% vs. 27.3%, p = 0.105), fibrin (37.6% vs. 34.3%, p = 0.627), platelets (21.2% vs. 24.2%, p = 0.498), and von Willebrand factor (0.038 vs. 0.034, p = 0.284) between patients with or without hyperglycemia on admission.Conclusion Clots in diabetic patients had more fibrin and fewer erythrocyte components compared with patients without diabetes mellitus, while hyperglycemia on admission did not show association with clot composition. Further studies are needed to confirm these results.

In this paper, an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with a small amount of Er and Zr added was used as the research object. The homogenization annealing was carried out, and the 7N01 aluminum alloy was used at 300 °C, 350 °C, 400 °C, 450 °C and 0.1 s-1, 1 s-1, 10 s-1 deformation conditions by Gleeble-3500 thermal simulator. Optical Microscopy (OM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) were used for microstructure analysis. The results show that the stress-strain curve of with Er 7N01 aluminum alloy can be divided into micro-strain stage, uniform deformation stage and steady-state flow stage during the thermal compression process. The flow stress of 7N01 aluminum alloy achieved peaks at the initial stage of strain, and then increased with the increase of strain rate and the decrease of deformation temperature. With the increase of deformation temperature and the decrease of deformation rate, the recrystallization process was significantly increased.
