- Abstract
Activities which continue to evolve drive human behavior to create trading instruments, some of which are the markets and the traditional ones, and for narrower geographical scope are traditional markets in Indonesia. It is believed that traditional market is one of the comprehensive factors of nation's economic wheel. The longevity of traditional market is feared for its dying tendency in the near future. In accordance to that and to preclude elimination, Indonesia's government has persistently implied the concept of traditional market's revitalization. Revitalization of Limbangan Traditional Market Project, hosted by the Local Government of Garut District, engages to establish sustainability development of Limbangan people.

3. Mechanical behavior of hybrid glass Fiber-Jute reinforced with polymer composite for the wall of the Acehnese boat 'Jalo Kayoh'

- Abstract
Hybrid fiber composites are widely used composites in engineering applications, especially for the frame and wall structure of Acehnese traditional boat Jalo Kayoh. The purpose of this study is to obtain a hybrid material which is a blend of natural jute fiber reinforced with the synthetic fibers E-glass and polyester as a matrix. The materials potential to become a material for the structure and walls in the traditional Acehnese boat Jalo Kayoh. The fabrication of the hybrid composites is carried out manually using an engineered press at a pressure of 25 kg/cm2 for 24 hours. The ratio of jute fiber and E-glass in the composites at each layer are (1:0), (1:1) and (2:1). Tensile testing of the hybrid composites refers to ASTM D 3039 - 00. The results show that the tensile strength of the hybrid composites tends to increase with the increase in the volume of the fiber, with the maximum tensile strength of 4.8 MPa. The increasing number of layers in the jute and E-glass is adding strength to the composites. This will be good to use in the initial material of the structure and walls in the traditional Acehnese boat Jalo Kayoh.

4. Mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced polyester resin for use as the wall of the Acehnese boat 'Thep-Thep'

- Abstract
Fiber composites are very commonly used for engineering applications nowadays. The product has begun to enter the field of boat and ship manufacturing. An Acehnese traditional boat known as thep-thep, which has a capacity of 3 GT, is a means of transportation used in Aceh waters. This study focuses on the mechanical properties of the material used for the structure and walls of the thep-thep. Specimens are made from materials with E-glass fiber reinforced polyester resin. The hand lay-up method is used in the process of making the specimens, applied with a pressure of 25 kg/cm2 for 24 hours. This study aimed to obtain higher mechanical properties using composites of layers of chopped strand mat (CSM) fibers and woven roving mat (WRM) fibers with a ratio of 1:0, 1:1, and 2:1, respectively. Tensile testing is done using the ASTM D3039-00 standard. From the tensile test data obtained from several different composite ratios, the highest composite is found at around 49.2 MPa. An increase in the number of fiber layers makes the fiber composites more reliable to be the raw material in the making of the Acehnese boat thep-thep.

5. Design of Wood Pellet Trolley using Finite Element Method (FEM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) Approach at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Ciater

- Abstract
PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VIII is a company produces orthodox black tea. The wood pellets distribution in drying station still uses human power without any tools. The process is done as far as five meters with the transport time of each sack for three minutes and the weight is 30 kg. In the previous research has produced a design that used as reference in this research. The purpose of the research is to provide trolley design by applying Finite Element Method and Design for Assembly approach. The method is chosen because the trolley force should be considered so the trolley has good strength. The initially complex and inflexible designs are expected to be simpler and more efficient. The results of this research are wooden pellet trolleys on handle, platform, frame, and stairs chunk are considered safe from the results of the test. While the wheels chunk need to be re-election of material into titanium alloy because it is considered unsafe based on the test results. Then the design of wooden pellet trolleys results in a higher assembly efficiency rating of 27.77% with 127 total components and total processing time of 928.98 seconds so it can be concluded better than reference design.

6. Development of Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) for the implementation of lath machining practice in Vocational High School (SMK)

- Abstract
The objective of this research is to first get Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of machining technique in Vocational High School (SMK), to get standard of tool, to get standard of time and standard amount of material for practicum of lathe machining technique in SMK to reach competent flat, facing, tapered lathe, lathe turning, screw lathe and lathe cartel. This research uses ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Participants of this study involve students and teachers from one public vocational school and one private SMK who both have accreditation A. SOP obtained consists of rational, objectives, competencies and procedures (work drawings, work flow, practice worksheets, job sheet, assessment sheet). Practical tools for flat turning competencies, face turning and tapered turning with lotan work drawings need 1 main tool, 1 cutting tool, 2 tools, 1 measuring tool, and 4 K3LH tools, while the lathe competence, screw lathe and lathe cartel with picture mandrel work requires 1 main tool, 4 cutting tools, 5 tools, 1 measuring instrument, and 4 K3LH tools. The standard practicum time to achieve flat turning competence, face turning and tapered lathe is 2x experiment is 423 minutes, while standard practicum time for achieving line plowing competence, screw lathe and lathe cartel with 2x experiment is 372 minutes. The practicum material used is st37 for a lottery image of o25.4 x 105 mm in size requiring an average of two workpieces and a mandrel image requiring materials of o25.4 x 65 mm in size which averages require two workpieces for each student.

7. Effect of Black Rice Husk Ash on Asphaltic Concrete Properties under Aging Condition

- Abstract
The scarcities of natural resources and increment in waste production rates have promoted efforts to investigate the potential incorporation of various by-products in roads construction. Reusing of waste materials such as black rice husk ash (BRHA) in asphaltic concrete was considered as one of the proper management of the waste, which ensures economic and environmental benefits. Hence, this study investigates the effect of black rice husk ash on asphalt mixtures properties under different aging condition. BRHA was added in the asphalt mix in a proportion of 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% by weight of bitumen. 5% optimum bitumen content with 60/70 penetration grade binder was selected for this study. The asphalt mixtures for each fraction was prepared in three different aging conditions i.e. un-aging (UA), short term aging (STA) and long term aging (LTA). The properties of asphalt mixtures were evaluated by voids, stiffness and dynamic creep tests. The results indicate that asphalt mixtures consisting of BRHA have exhibited better performance in term of voids, stiffness and creep modulus when compared to the conventional asphalt mixtures. The STA and LTA mixtures modified with BRHA produced higher performance than the unmodified mixtures. It can be concluded that the optimum additional percentage of BRHA was in the range of 4% to 6%.

- Abstract
The application of Information Technology (IT) has been growing rapidly recently. IT utilized to monitor flowing power and stored electrical energy which is produced by solar cell. This project explains how to build and design interface system. Electrical energy need to be monitored in order to keep energy stored. Single Board Computer (SBC), microcontroller, sensors, and transceivers are used in logging electrical power for this project. These nodes are connected wirelessly. Raspberry Pi 2 B, Arduino Nano, NRF24L01, Voltage sensor and ACS712 sensor are required to run this project. IDLE, Apache, BIND, hostapd, udhcpd, and highcharts are programs used in Raspberry Pi 2 B. The values of power are displayed into graphical chart and log energy table are able to be accessed by using computer or smartphone. By connecting to local network via Wi-Fi and go to http://solmon.home to see measurement results.

9. Molecular Docking Simulation of Neuraminidase Influenza A Subtype H1N1 with Potential Inhibitor of Disulfide Cyclic Peptide (DNY, NNY, LRL)

- Abstract
Oseltamivir resistance as an inhibitor of neuraminidase influenza A virus subtype H1N1 has been reported lately. Therefore, to solve this problem, several kinds of research has been conducted to design and discover disulfide cyclic peptide ligands through molecular docking method, to find the potential inhibitors for neuraminidase H1N1 which then can disturb the virus replication. This research was studied and evaluated the interaction of ligands toward enzyme using molecular docking simulation, which was performed on three disulfide cyclic peptide inhibitors (DNY, LRL, and NNT), along with oseltamivir and zanamivir as the standard ligands using MOE 2008.10 software. The docking simulation shows that all disulfide cyclic peptide ligands have lower Gibbs free binding energies (DGbinding) than the standard ligands, with DNY ligand has the lowest DGbinding at -7.8544 kcal/mol. Furthermore, these ligands were also had better molecular interactions with neuraminidase than the standards, owing by the hydrogen bonds that were formed during the docking simulation. In the end, we concluded that DNY, LRL and NNT ligands have the potential to be developed as the inhibitor of neuraminidase H1N1.

10. Transformation of Indonesian Natural Zeolite into Analcime Phase under Hydrothermal Condition

- Abstract
Natural zeolite is abundantly available in Indonesia and well distributed especially in the volcano area like Java, Sumatera, and Sulawesi. So far, natural zeolite from Klaten, Central Java is one of the most interesting zeolites has been widely studied. This research aims to know the effect of seed-assisted synthesis under a hydrothermal condition at 120 degC for 24 hours of Klaten's zeolite toward the structural change and phase transformation of the original structure. According to XRD and XRF analysis, seed-assisted synthesis through the addition of aluminosilicate mother solution has transformed Klaten's zeolite which contains (mordenite and clinoptilolite) into analcime type with decreasing Si/Al ratio from 4.51 into 1.38. Morphological analysis using SEM showed the shape changes from irregular into spherical looks like takraw ball in the range of 0.3 to 0.7 micrometer. Based on FTIR data, structure of TO4 site (T = Si or Al) was observed in the range of 300-1300 cm-1 and the occupancy of Bronsted acid site as OH stretching band from silanol groups was detected at 3440-3650 cm-1. Nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis confirmed that transformation Klaten's zeolite into analcime type has decreased the surface area from 55.41 to 22.89 m2/g and showed inhomogeneous pore distribution which can be classified as micro-mesoporous aluminosilicate materials.

11. Magnetic Susceptibility and Heavy Metals in Guano from South Sulawesi Caves

- Abstract
Measurement of some magnetic properties have been performed on vertical profile from South Sulawesi caves (Mampu and Bubau) by using low cost, rapid, sensitive and non destructive magnetic method. The aim is to attempt to use magnetic characters as a fingerprint for anthropogenic pollution in the caves. Guano samples were collected every 5 cm at a certain section of Mampu and Bubau cave, South Sulawesi, starting from surface through 300 cm in depth of mampu Cave and 30 cm of Bubau Cave. The magnetic parameters such as magnetic susceptibility and percentage frequency dependence susceptibility were measured using the Bartington MS2-MS2B instruments and supported by X-Ray Fluoroscence (XRF) to know their element composition. The results show that the samples had variations in magnetic susceptibility from 3.5 to 242.6 x 10[?]8 m3/kg for Mampu Cave and from 8.6 to 106.5 x 10[?]8 m3/kg for Bubau Cave and also magnetic domain. Then, the XRF results show that the caves contain several heavy metals. Magnetic and heavy metal analyses showing that the magnetic minerals in caves are lithogenic (Fe-bearing minerals) in origin and anthropogenic (Zn content) in the caves.

High Quality Vocational education is one way to create skilled and professional human resources. In the implementation of teaching and learning process there are many components that are very important one of them is the educator (teacher), where through the quality of teachers materials are expected to be well absorbed by students. Teachers generally consist of male and female teachers where in this era of teacher globalization teachers in vocational schools are not only dominated by male teachers, there are many women who serve as educators in unlimited vocational schools by selected majors. But the polemic is the issue of gender inequality that has been the subject of talks in various countries since 1979. Gender bias in education is the educational reality that benefits certain sexes, leading to gender inequality in which various forms of gender inequality occur in different regions. Female teachers in technology and engineering as a minority are deemed incompetent in understanding vocational materials and are deemed less able in the application of school practices than male teachers. But at this point it can be observed that the large number of female teachers who enter the world of teaching skills in vocational schools in Indonesia. Therefore, this research was conducted to find out the extent of gender differences in the influence of teaching styles on the learning process in SMK with the concentration of technique and technique. This research is planned to be implemented in a vocational high school in Indonesia with concentration of Department of Engineering and Technology which include the use of qualitative research collecting research data by using interview and survey technique

The industrial world that is the target of the process and learning outcomes of vocational high school (SMK) has its own character and nuance. Therefore, vocational education institutions in the learning process should be able to make the appropriate learning approach and in accordance with the industrial world. One approach to learning that is based on production and learning in the world of work is by industry-based learning or known as Teaching Factory, where in this model apply learning that involves direct students in goods or service activities are expected to have the quality so it is worth selling and accepted by consumers. The method used is descriptive approach. The purpose of this research is to get the design of the teaching factory based on the competency requirements of the graduates of the spouse industry, especially in the engineering department. The results of this study is expected to be one of the choice of model factory teaching in the field of machinery engineering in accordance with the products and competencies of the graduates that the industry needs.

This study aims to determine the relevance of competencies developed by vocational high schools with the needs of workers in the industrial world. This is to answer the statement from the world of industry that the competencies possessed by vocational secondary education graduates are not in accordance with industry standards. This research is a qualitative research conducted by collecting data, presenting accurate and objective information. Respondents of this research are industrial institutions in the field of heavy equipment, vocational education institutions and government agencies in charge of manpower. Selection of informants / sources of information used is purposive sample technique, which aims to give consideration to select informants who meet the criteria in providing accurate information. The results of this study provide insight and input to vocational secondary education managers about various information in developing vocational secondary education curriculum, major issues include curriculum content relevance, technological advances in the heavy equipment industry, updating of school facilities and collaboration between educational institutions and labor institutions and the industrial world in the development of vocational secondary education.

- Abstract
This paper compares the three methods used for short-term load forecasting on the electrical system in Indonesia. The three methods are coefficient load method, single exponential smoothing, and fuzzy subtractive clustering that in optimization using adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). The experiments were conducted on seven data of electric load on a weekends in October 2014. The result of simulation showed that single exponential smoothing method is more precision in electrical load forecasting for weekends in Indonesia.

- Abstract
The laboratory is a facility that provides all kinds of equipment necessary for scientific activities. As one of the majors in the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Department of Informatics Engineering (JTIF) also has several laboratories to support teaching and learning process for both students and teachers. Lots of equipment stored in the laboratory to support learning in the Department of Informatics. Because many equipment's in the laboratory, it is necessary to record inventory. The records that have been done so far are still manual using MS word or MS excel. One of the weaknesses of manual system is the possibility of missing notebooks, so lab work inventory evidence is missing. Of course, this will reduce the quality value of a laboratory and of course this is very ineffective. In this paper, we propose the application of Quick Response (QR) codes to conduct laboratory inventory. This application use framework Bootstrap which supports responsive web technology. By using the framework, the application can be accessed by mobile phone. This framework can respond to user behavior and environment based on platform size, as well as monitor screen orientation. The outcome is expected to facilitate the process of laboratory inventory in the Department of Informatics Engineering UNESA.

17. Tensile Strength Improvement of LLBC Material for Low Speed Wind Turbine Rotor Blade by Varying Composite Matrix

Low-speed wind energy conversion systems generally use Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) and Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) as materials for rotor blade because these materials are light weight and hard but expensive. Layer Laminated Bamboo Composite (LLBC) is a bio-composite with bamboo base material which is abundant material and has a relatively lower price. This study investigates tensile strength of LLBC-based bio-composite materials for rotor blades of low-speed wind turbine. This research uses experimental method by varying three types of polymer (Araldite AV138M-1, Araldite AW106, and standard Epoxy Resin) as an adhesive of composite laminate LLBC based on Gombong bamboo. The results show that combination of polymer and bamboo increase the tensile strength ranges from 2 to 7 times as compared to pure bamboo. Araldite AV138 produces the highest tensile strength (230.11 MPa) while Araldite AW106 produces the highest average tensile strength (222.11 MPa). We conclude that combination of bamboo and polymer is a potential material for low speed wind turbine rotor blade.

18. Implementation of Neural Network to determine the New College Students

- Abstract
One of new student admission pathways at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) is through the Indonesian National Public University Admission. This path is quite favourable for academic or vocational high school students who want to study at Unesa so that the number of participants for this selection program can reach up to ten thousand people every year. The large number of applicants makes the selection process more complex. Meanwhile, Unesa still uses the concept of weighting criteria in determining the result. One of the constraints in weighting process is the absence of optimal pattern or weight. This paper discusses a supervised learning approach to make determining process pattern which replaces manual weighting criteria. The supervised learning method used in this research was the Neural Network with multilayer perceptron. This research showed sufficient result which can be seen from the high accuracy rate (89.56%). The accuracy rate is enough to decide which participants who pass or fail the national admission. This system can be used as a prediction for the following years.

19. Effect of Synthesis Parameter on Crystal Structures and Magnetic Properties of Magnesium Nickel Ferrite (Mg0.5Ni0.5Fe2O4) Nanoparticles

Mg0.5Ni0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by using co-precipitation method and varying the synthesis parameter, i.e. synthesis temperature and NaOH concentration. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) pattern showed that nanoparticles have cubic spinel structures with an additional phase of g-Fe2O3 and particle size varies within the range of 4.3 - 6.7 nm. This variation is due to the effect of various synthesis parameters. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) image showed that the nanoparticles exhibited agglomeration. The observed diffraction ring from selected area electron diffraction showed that the sample was polycrystalline and confirmed the peak appearing in XRD. The coercivities showed an increasing trend with an increase in particle size from 44.7 Oe to 49.6 Oe for variation of NaOH concentration, and a decreasing trend with an increase in particle size from 46.8 to 45.1 Oe for variation of synthesis temperature. The maximum magnetization showed an increasing trend with an increase in the ferrite phase from 3.7 emu/g to 5.4 emu/g possessed in the sample with variations on NaOH concentration. The maximum magnetization for the sample with variations on synthesis temperature varied from 4.4 emu/g to 5.7 emu/g due to its crystal structures.

- Abstract
Background Inotropic agents are one of the standard treatments in cardiogenic shock. However, tachycardia is a constraint on the condition that will increase the oxygen demand, which worsens heart failure condition. A reduction in heart rate with the administration of β-blockers is contraindicated due to negative inotropic that will be decrease blood pressure and also congestive heart failure. In this situation, selective heart rate reduction via administration of Ivabradine without side effects of hypotension may be advantageous and better tolerated in patients with cardiogenic shock. Hereby we report a case of cardiogenic shock with congestive heart failure treated by adding Ivabradine to the currently used therapy.Case description A 58 year-old man came in intensive cardiovascular care unit with acute decompensated heart failure with ejection fraction 14%. During received care in hospital, he experienced a decrease in haemodynamic then fell on cardiogenic shock condition. He was treated with heart failure drugs and inotropic agents e.g Dobutamine and Norepinephrine. Heart rate was 110 bpm. Then the treatment was added with Ivabradine 5 mg two times per day. The ejection fraction was improved and the heart rate was decreased until 85 bpm. Then he was clinically improved.Discussion Heart rate is a well-known sign of clinical prognosis patient with congestive heart failure with cardiogenic shock. This case supported the fact that Ivabradine, a specific inhibitor of If channel, which aim to decreasing heart rate and oxygen demand in congestive heart failure condition with cardiogenc shock.- Published

- Abstract
Background Hypertension is one of the commonest cardiovascular risk factors, whose prevalence in Indonesia is 25.8%. Uncontrolled hypertension leads to altered geometric pattern of left ventricle, which is associated with a greater cardiovascular risk.Methods This study was conducted in conjunction with the annual social work clinic arranged by Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, Udayana University on 21 November 2015. This cross-sectional study was performed in all patients who attended the social work clinic at Kubu Village and was diagnosed with hypertension. The subjects underwent electrocardiography examination and echocardiography examination to asses LV geometry, systolic function, and diastolic function.Results There were 28 subjects with hypertension enrolled in this study with median age 62 (range 40-83) year old with slight female predominance (53.6%). Among them, 60.7% have history of hypertension, but only 2 patients who had been receiving treatment. From electrocardiography examination, we found high LV voltage and LV strain pattern in 10 (35.7%) patients. Echocardiography results show that the prevalence of left ventricular geometric alteration was 57.1%, diastolic dysfunction grade I was 78.6%, and 1 patient was found to have systolic dysfunction. Bivariate analysis revealed that known history of hypertension [PR 8.67 (CI 95% 1.53-49.22, p < 0.05)] and duration of hypertension ≥ 5 years [PR 2.71 (CI 95% 1.57-4.89, p < 0.05)] were related with left ventricular geometric alteration among hypertensive patient in Kubu Village.Conclusion The prevalence of left ventricular geometric alteration and diastolic dysfunction is high among hypertensive patients at Kubu Village. Our study also found that majority of patient with known history of long-standing hypertension also have evidence of left ventricular geometry alteration. This result warrants the need for improved achievement of blood pressure goals alongside with aggressive screening for end organ damage in hypertensive patients, especially at rural area.- Published

22. Utilization of industrial dairy waste as microalgae cultivation medium : a potential study for sustainable energy resources

- Abstract
Microalgae is one of biodiesel resources and call as third generation biofuel. Biodiesel is one alternative energy that being developed. So study about resource of biodiesel need a development, for the example is development the basic material such as microalgae. In this paper we explain the potential use of dairy waste from industry as a cultivation medium of microalgae for biodiesel production. Dairy waste from dairy industry contains 34.98% protein, 4.42% lactose, 9.77% fiber, 11.04% fat, 2.33% calcium, 1.05% phosfor, and 0.4 % magnesium, meaning that the dairy waste from dairy industry has a relatively high nutrient content and complete from a source of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus as macro nutrients. The method in this paper is literature review to resulting a new conclusion about the potency of waste water from dairy industry as microalgae cultivation medium. Based on the study, the dairy waste from dairy industry has potency to be used as cultivation medium of Botryococcus braunii in the production of biodiesel, replacing the conventional cultivation medium.
