Prostate cancer (PCa) is a pernicious tumor with high heterogeneity, which creates a conundrum for making a precise diagnosis and choosing an optimal treatment approach. Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mp-MRI) with anatomical and functional sequences has evolved as a routine and significant paradigm for the detection and characterization of PCa. Moreover, using radiomics to extract quantitative data has emerged as a promising field due to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) and image data processing. Radiomics acquires novel imaging biomarkers by extracting imaging signatures and establishes models for precise evaluation. Radiomics models provide a reliable and noninvasive alternative to aid in precision medicine, demonstrating advantages over traditional models based on clinicopathological parameters. The purpose of this review is to provide an overview of related studies of radiomics in PCa, specifically around the development and validation of radiomics models using MRI-derived image features. The current landscape of the literature, focusing mainly on PCa detection, aggressiveness, and prognosis evaluation, is reviewed and summarized. Rather than studies that exclusively focus on image biomarker identification and method optimization, models with high potential for universal clinical implementation are identified. Furthermore, we delve deeper into the critical concerns that can be addressed by different models and the obstacles that may arise in a clinical scenario. This review will encourage researchers to design models based on actual clinical needs, as well as assist urologists in gaining a better understanding of the promising results yielded by radiomics.

Two challenging situations for video frame rate up-conversion (FRUC) are first identified and analyzed; namely, when the input video has abrupt illumination change and/or a low frame rate. Then, a low-complexity processing technique and robust FRUC algorithm are proposed to address these two issues. The proposed algorithm utilizes a translational motion vector model of the first- and the second-order and detects the continuity of these motion vectors. Additionally, in order to improve perceptual quality of interpolated frame, spatial smoothness criterion is employed. The superior performance of the proposed algorithm has been tested extensively and representative examples are given in this work. Low-complexity error concealment techniques for mobile applications are studied extensively in this paper. The boundary matching algorithm (BMA) is an attractive choice for mobile video concealment due to its low complexity. Here, we examine a variant of BMA called the outer boundary matching algorithm (OBMA). Although BMA and OBMA are similar in their design principle, it is empirically observed that OBMA outperforms BMA by a significant margin (typically, 0.5dB or higher) while maintaining the same level of complexity. In this work, we attempt to explain the superior performance of OBMA, and conclude that OBMA provides an excellent tradeoff between the complexity and the quality of concealed video for a wide range of test video sequences and error conditions. Objectives Signet ring cell carcinoma (SRCC) of the urinary bladder is a rare and highly aggressive form of bladder cancer, with no widely agreed-upon treatment strategy. The aim of this study was to identify important factors influencing patient prognosis and to assess how various treatment approaches affect survival outcomes.Methods A retrospective study was conducted using data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program, including patients with bladder primary SRCC who were presented between 2000 and 2017. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression models were used to examine the impact of various factors on cancer-specific survival (CSS) and overall survival (OS). Propensity score matching (PSM) and inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW) were applied to homogenize both groups. The impact of different treatment regimens on patient CSS and OS was analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method.Results A total of 33 cases of non-muscular invasive SRCC and 210 cases of muscular invasive SRCC were included in this study. Multivariate analysis identified race, TNM stage, and surgical method as independent variables influencing both OS and CSS. In non-muscle invasive bladder SRCC patients, radical cystectomy showed no CSS benefit compared to transurethral resection of bladder tumors (P= 0.304). For muscle invasive SRCC, patients who underwent partial cystectomy had better OS and CSS compared to those who underwent radical cystectomy (P= 0.019, P= 0.024). However, after conducting a PSM analysis, the differences between the two surgical outcomes were not statistically significant (P= 0.504, P= 0.335). Lymphadenectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation did not show any benefit to the prognosis of patients.Conclusion This study identified race, TNM stage, and surgical approach as significant independent predictors for SRCC outcomes. Simple radical cystectomy and partial cystectomy proved to be effective treatments for SRCC. The optimal treatment option still needs to be supported by a number of prospective research trials.

A kind of novel acoustic noise energy scavenger with additional function of noise reduction is introduced in this article. The device consists of energy harvesting membranes and silicon micro perforated panel (MPP) resonant structure. Both of them are all fabricated with silicon wafer in use of MEMS technology. The maximum output power of the energy scavenger is about 14.1μW/m2, the maximum open circuit voltage achieves 69.41mV, and the average noise absorption coefficient of the device is higher than 0.7 in the bandwidth of 1500Hz to 6000Hz. The energy collected by the device could be used for driving micro and nano electronic systems.

Micro-perforated panel (MPP) is known for its remarkable noise absorption capability and has been studied and developed for decades. Although the panel and cavity walls of traditional MPP are rigid, some previous works have shown that the absorption bandwidth of flexible MPP can be improved by the vibration of the panel. But this result is only tested at low frequencies. In this paper, the flexible MPP aiming at high frequency range is studied under a control experiment. But the perforations of high frequency MPP are in the range of micron and difficult to be fabricated in traditional mechanical methods. A new process, based on MEMS silicon mold technology and PDMS casting method, is developed to meet this challenge. Experimental results show that the noise absorption bandwidth of flexible MPP does get widened conspicuously only at a little sacrifice of absorption peak.

The principle of an online monitoring and diagnosis system suitable for various kinds of High-voltage Circuit Breakers (HVCB) is presented in the paper. The system consists of distributed data acquisition devices, a communication system based on field bus, and a host based on B/S structure. The research presents the methods to select the main monitoring signals of high-voltage circuit breakers, to acquire data, and to calculate operational feature values, as well as realizes high-speed process to monitoring signals, valid online monitor to high-voltage circuit breakers, and fault diagnosis.

In the paper, the interface crack of rubber - metal ring under the radial displacement load was studied by nonlinear finite element method, changes of the tear energy with crack dimension which extending from extrusion end and tensile end along the axial and circumferential direction to the interface was analyzed. The result is that there is a certain possibility of axial extension in the tensile end. The crack propagation is most likely to occur along the circumferential direction while is impossible along either axial or the circumferential direction in the extrusion end.

The passive vibration control is a very effective measure to gear system. But there exist some limitations. This paper viewed the development of the passive vibration control of gear system, and researched the damping characteristics of the friction dampers and viscoelastic dampers intensively. Firstly, the limitations of the existence passive damping technology are pointed out. Secondly, the feasibility and validity of piezoelectric shunt damping is guaranteed through experimentation on the gear system vibration control. Thirdly, a new hybrid damping, piezoelectric- viscoplastic material damping, is proposed, which extracts the advantages of piezoelectric shunt damping and viscoplastic damping.

The past researches on the transient responses of rotor-bearing systems under shock excitations paid little attention on impact-contact-rub forces which would arise when taking journal- bearing clearance into account, and these forces’ influences on the overall responses remain unknown until now. In this paper, models of impact-contact force, rub force and oil-film force in a rotor-bearing system were built respectively. Numerical calculation was performed to obtain time-varying responses of those forces while the system suffers base-transferred shock excitations. Influences of those forces on system overall responses were investigated. The main conclusion is that the rub force has no obvious influence on the system responses during shock lasting time, whereas it shows an obvious inhibitory effect on the residual response, making time-varying amplitudes be smoother. Rub force maybe bigger in x direction than in y direction although shock energy in x direction is less than in the y direction. Influences of the oil-film force on response is similar to that of rub force but more severely. It has obvious influences on overall responses both during shock lasting time and residual time.

The metal rubber is a kind of material for vibration control. In this paper, experimental research on characteristics of energy dissipation of metal rubber is exploited, and the relation between metal rubber stiffness and the amplitude of relative density and load. The relative between relative density and characteristics of energy dissipation is researched, in the excitation of displacement and load respectively. By comparing variation of the deformation and load with time, we found that the cycle of deformation and load is the same, but the deformation is still lag behind load. The research provided a basis for the application of metal rubber.

Abstract: Background: The Hem-o-lok polymer clip has become the preferred method to control large vessels during operation. We explored the advantages of application of the Hem-o-lok ligation system in laparoscopic nephrectomy. Methods: From January 2004 to May 2009, 116 laparoscopic nephrectomies were performed using Hem-o-lok clips to control renal artery and vein, including 22 simple nephrectomies, 63 radical nephrectomies, and 31 nephroureterectomies. Operative time, estimated intraoperative blood loss, recovery time of intestinal function, postoperative hospital day, as well as complication rate were recorded and studied retrospectively. The number and cost of Hem-o-lok clips were analyzed. Results: All 116 laparoscopic nephrectomies using Hem-o-lok clips for renal pedicle control were accomplished successfully without conversion to open surgery. No intra/postoperative vascular complications or other clip-related complications occurred. Laparoscopic operating time was 14–275 min (average 146.5 min). Estimated blood loss was 25–600 ml (average 159.2 ml). Mean recovery time of intestinal function was 30.4 h (range 16–72 h). Postoperative hospital stay was 4–22 days, with an average of 7.3 days. The mean number of Hem-o-lok clip used per operation was 5.3 (range 4–8). Conclusions: Use of the Hem-o-lok ligation system to control renal pedicle is safe and reliable for laparoscopic simple/radical nephrectomy.

Ru−Mg−Al hydrotalcite-like anionic clay (Mg/Al/Ru 90:29:1) was successfully prepared with a constant-pH coprecipitation method. Calcination of a hydrotalcite-like precursor at 600 °C in the air gave rise to the well-mixed oxide Ru−Mg−Al−O that possesses a good dispersion of Ru species. Ru−Mg−Al−O catalyst after suitable pretreatment exhibits quite high NOxstorage capability in the temperature range of 250−400 °C, and the highest NOxstorage capability of about 220 mol g-1is obtained at 350 °C with flowing 790 ppm NO and 8% O2in N2stream. Meanwhile, the decomposition of 25−60% NO to N2as well as N2O is clearly observed on the catalyst at 300−400 °C. In situ diffuse reflectance Fourier transform (DRIFT) spectra indicate that NOxis adsorbed and stored on a catalyst mainly in the form of various coordinated nitrites/nitrates. On the basis of the NOxadsorption−desorption profiles as well as the in situ DRIFTS spectra, we have proposed a schematic outline for NOxstorage and NO decomposition. Finally, the reduction of stored NOxspecies on the catalyst by H2was carried out at 350 °C, indicating that all adsorbed NOxspecies can be readily reduced by hydrogen.
