The article examines the lives of eunuchs in Greco-Roman society, highlighting the case of slave Earinus who was rumored to be the lover of his owner, Roman emperor Domitian. Eunuchs were reportedly socially marginalized, however Earinus, who was a eunuch, was able to transcend his contemptible condition to achieve dignity.
