Abstract

•Essential oils showed a dose-dependent anthelminthic activity against Neoechinorhynchus buttnerae.•The blood and biochemical indices were positively affected by supplementation with essential oils.•Mentha piperitais more effective against N. buttnerae,in both trials (in vitroand in vivo).
