Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the constant paradigm shift in road traffic have led to a need for significant improvement in road safety to minimize traffic accidents. LiFi helps minimize accidents by transmitting data between multiple vehicles (i.e. Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V)) and between vehicles and infrastructure (i.e. Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I)) without interference. LiFi uses light to transmit data between devices or vehicles, which ensures efficient data transmission speed and is therefore considered a safe technology. A method called Deep Jacobian Regression and Tate Bryant Euler Recommendation (DJR-TBER) is proposed in this paper based on V2V and V2I autonomous vehicle communication. The proposed method DJR-TBER consists of an input layer, four hidden layers and finally an output layer. Sensors are first used to obtain the information. A linear regression-based speed evaluation model is developed and followed by a Jacobi matrix-based distance evaluation model in the hidden layer. The third hidden layer by developing a distance evaluation model. The use of Laplacian function ensures secure V2I communication for the autonomous vehicle. Finally, a Tate-Bryant-Euler angle-based model for emergency handling is proposed in the hidden layer to optimally consider the aspect of braking in emergency situations and thus increase driving safety.

A new library of amide derivatives of Oxazole-pyrimidine (10a-j)has been synthesized and evaluated for their in vitroanticancer applications against a panel of four human cancer cell lines such as Cervix cancer (SiHa), lung cancer (A549), Breast cancer (MCF-7) and Colon cancer (Colo-205) by using the MTT method and results were expressed with IC50in µM. All these results were compared with those of a well-known chemotherapeutic agent as etoposide. Among the synthesized compounds, four compounds 10a, 10b, 10c, 10dand 10epossessed more potent anticancer activity.

An essential key to enhance the redox chemistry of battery-type materials is to construct rational design of nanoarchitectures with high electrochemical activity. Herein, we reported a hierarchical composite consisting of bilayered nickel hydroxide carbonate nanoplates-decorated nanoflowers on nickel foam (NHC NPs@NFs/Ni foam) viaa facile homogeneous precipitation method for use as an effective cathode in hybrid supercapacitors (HSCs). Under controlled growth time (4 h), the bilayered NHC NPs@NFs with hierarchical alignment were spontaneously crystallized on Ni foam. The as-preapared hybrid structure greatly enhanced the electroactive surface area and enabled the rapid redox chemistry in alkaline electrolyte. Notably, the hybrid NHC NPs@NFs/Ni foam delivered a maximum areal capacity of 727.4 μAh/cm2at 2 mA/cm2and it is relatively higher than its oxide form (76.6 μAh/cm2) in a three-electrode system. Also, a pouch-type HSC with bilayered NHC NPs@NFs/Ni foam and porous carbon electrodes was fabricated, which demonstrated superior energy storage performance in terms of capacitance (1445.8 mF/cm2), energy density (0.506 mWh/cm2), power density (35.675 mW/cm2) and cycling stability (89.4%). Furthermore, the self-charging power station consisting of a solar cell for energy conversion and the HSCs for energy storage was also assembled to operate the portable electronic displays and wall clock effectively for long time. This facile approach for the cost-effective fabrication of hierarchically designed nanomaterials paves a path for the development of high-performance hybrid supercapacitors.

Soft tissue changes secondary to Maxillary orthognathic surgery are many fold. The alar flare is one among them, which affects the appearance of the patient. Cinch suture has been used to prevent alar flare; but the presence of anaesthetic tube hinders cinching. So, the study was aimed to assess an efficacy of modified nasal to oral tube switch technique for modified alar cinching to prevent alar flare after orthognathic and nasal corrective surgeries.

Selection of the method of intubation during complex facial surgeries is a difficult task for the anesthetist because of airway is sharing area and oral or nasal intubation is not preferable, even though, tracheostomy is a worthy alternative; however, it has serious complications. Altemir FH introduced the ‘submental technique’ as a substitute for tracheostomy but it has demonstrated the complications of ‘lingual nerve damage’ and ‘Wharton's duct injuries’. So, the Stoll's approach is the safest option in this scenario. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate ‘Stoll's submandibular method’ as a safest choice to Altemir's technique.

Alzheimers disease (AD) is the fourth major cause of death in the developed countries and it is the most common neurodegenerative disorder and the most prevalent cause of dementia with ageing. AD is characterized by the development of senile plaques and neurofibrillary tangles, which are associated with neuronal destruction; particularly in cholinergic neurons. The identification of disease causing autosomal dominant mutations as well as gene polymorphisms that alter the risk for pathology indicates that, it is a genetically complex disorder. This progress in our understanding of the molecular pathology has set the stage for clinically meaningful advances in diagnosis and treatment. Novel drugs that are currently in use or undergoing trial are briefly reviewed. To date, only a few acetylcholine esterase inhibitors have been licensed for AD, but more beneficial drugs are being actively sought by many different approaches. The development of additional drugs requires greater basic research on the pathogenesis of AD. Future therapeutic strategies for AD on the basis of recent findings concerning the pathogenesis of AD are also reviewed. Here, we review clinical features of the available cholinesterase inhibitors including their pharmacological properties and the emerging evidence for the use of memantine in AD. New therapeutic approaches including those more closely targeted to the pathogenesis of the disease will also be reviewed. Current treatments are briefly reviewed, followed by an introduction to emerging disease-modifying therapies.

A new series of chalcone incorporated 1,3,4-thiadazole-oxazole (10a-j) compounds have been prepared and its chemical structures were confirmed by spectroscopic techniques. Further, all compounds were explored for cytotoxic properties alongside human cervix cancer (SiHa), human lung cancer (A549), human breast cancer (MCF-7) and human colon cancer (Colo-205) cell lines by employing MTT assay. The known chemotherapeutic drug candidate as etoposide used as positive control. According to the data, all the compounds showed good to moderate activities. Among them, compounds 10a, 10b, 10cand 10ddisplayed most promising activity.

Solvent extraction behavior of Th(IV) and U(VI) and some lanthanides [Ce(III), Nd(III), Eu(III), Tb(III), and Yb(III)] from thiocyanate medium into sulfoxides and/or 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone has been studied. The actinides are found to be favorably extracted by both the extractants. The alkyl sulfoxides extract Th(IV) and U(VI) as Th(SCN)4·3DPSO, Th(SCN)4·3DOSO, UO2 (SCN)2·2DPSO, and UO2(SCN)2·3DOSO. The chelate extracts the metals in the following order: U(VI) < Th(IV) < Eu(IV) < Tb(III) < Tb(III) < Ce (III) or Nd(III).

Studies have been made on the extraction of some actinides [Th(IV), Pa(V), and U(VI)] and lanthanides [La(III), Ce(III), Pm(III), Eu(III), and Tb(III)] from hydrochloric acid medium by dialkyl sulfoxides. The actinides have extraction maxima at 7.0 M HCl while the lanthanides practically do not get extracted. Thus the extraction separation of these two groups can be effected by the preferential extraction of the actinides by the sulfoxides.
