We report a study of τ lepton decays involving K S 0 with a 669 fb −1 data sample accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider. The branching fractions have been measured for the τ − → π − K S 0 ν τ , K − K S 0 ν τ , π − K S 0 π 0 ν τ , K − K S 0 π 0 ν τ , π − K S 0 K S 0 ν τ and π − K S 0 K S 0 π 0 ν τ decays. We also provide the unfolded mass spectra for τ − → π − K S 0 π 0 ν τ and τ − → K − K S 0 π 0 ν τ . [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: The NA48/2 collaboration has analysed more than one million decays, resulting in the improved determination of branching fraction by a factor of 3 and high precision form factor measurements. Concurrently, about 45000 decays have been analyzed. Background contamination below the percent level and very good reconstruction allow the first accurate measurement of the branching fraction and decay form factor at the percent level. The achieved precision makes possible the observation of small effects such as re-scattering. Both modes decay properties bring new precise inputs to Low Energy QCD studies and can provide strong tests of ChPT predictions. Future prospects include the observation of several thousand decays in similar muonic modes and , that could be studied also in the forthcoming NA62 experiment. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: The J-PARC KOTO experiment was designed to observe the rare decay of long lived neutral kaons, . The goal of KOTO is to observe the decay with the sensitivity of the Standard Model prediction, and search for new physics beyond the Standard Model. The KOTO apparatus consists of a high intensity beam line, an electromagnetic calorimeter, and veto counters. The beam line and the calorimeter have already been built at J-PARC, and the veto counters are being constructed and tested for upcoming physics runs. In this paper, the KOTO experiment will be briefly introduced and the status and the prospects of the KOTO experiment will be described. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: In 2003–2004 the NA48/2 Collaboration at CERN collected a large sample of decays. Using data taken with minimal trigger conditions, a sample of and events was recorded, and allows precise measurements of the decay form factors. This report describes the event selection and the fitting procedure, and gives a preliminary result for the form factors in various parameterizations. In addition, with the full data sample collected, more than one million and about decays has been analysed. An improved determination of the branching ratio and high precision form factor measurements for , and a preliminary result for the branching ratio of are presented in this paper. Future prospects include the observation of several thousands decays in similar muonic modes that will be studied at the NA62 experiment. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

The ϕ-factory DAΦNE offers a possibility to select pure kaon beams, charged and neutral ones. In particular, neutral kaons from are produced in pairs and the detection of a tags the presence of a . This allows to perform precise measurements of kaon properties by means of KLOE detector. Another advantage of a ϕ-factory consists in fact that the neutral kaon pairs are produced in a pure quantum state , which allows to investigate CP and CPT symmetries via quantum interference effects, as well as the basic principles of quantum mechanics. A review of the most recent results of the KLOE experiment at DAΦNE using pure kaon beams or via quantum interferometry is presented together with prospects for kaon physics at KLOE–2. Results on particle production in deep-inelastic scattering in ep collision at HERA, obtained with the H1 and ZEUS detectors, are presented. The underlying parton dynamics is investigated by studying the transverse momentum distribution of charged particles and comparing the measurements with various Monte Carlo generators using different approaches to simulate the parton cascade. In this context also results on forward jet production are discussed. The underlying parton dynamics is also studied using prompt photon production in both DIS and photoproduction regimes. The production is compared to theoretical calculations and Monte Carlo predictions. In the context of hadronisation, studies are presented of the scaled momentum distribution for charged hadrons and for and Λ particles in the current fragmentation region of the Breit frame. The data are compared to models and to next-to-leading order QCD calculations. In addition, differential cross sections for production in the laboratory and Breit frame are investigated and compared to Monte Carlo predictions, which are used to study the flavour decomposition and strangeness suppression factor. production is also compared to the production of charged particles and to the production rate of the DIS events.
