Objectives This study aimed to examine application of fast-track surgery (FTS) in the perioperative period of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for renal tumors, and to discuss its effects and safety.Methods Eighty patients who received laparoscopic partial nephrectomy in urinary surgery from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected and randomly classified as the observation group (n = 40) and control group (n = 40). Traditional treatments were performed in the control group, while FTS was applied in the observation group. The complication rate after the operation was recorded.Results The duration of the operation and intraoperative blood loss were not different between the groups. The duration of anesthesia and fluid transfusion volume on the day of the operation were significantly less in the observation group than in the control group. The rates of infection of the incisional wound, nausea and vomiting, and anastomotic stomal bleeding were not significantly different between the groups. However, the rates of postoperative urinary tract infection, abdominal distension, thirst, hypothermia, and pulmonary infection were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group.Conclusion Application of FTS in laparoscopic partial nephrectomy contributes to postoperative recovery and reduction of postoperative complications.

Out-of-pile tritium release experiments were performed on Li4SiO4pebbles produced from lithium hydroxide under various compositions of sweep gas (He, 1.1% H2/He) and environmental moisture conditions. The experimental results indicate that tritium gas can be released directly from “dry” Li4SiO4under pure He gas. This phenomenon did not happen on “wet” samples, which means that the chemical form of released tritium is sensitive to moisture. Adding H2to sweep gas may increase the overall desorption rate of tritium gas through H2isotope exchange reaction, which occurs at a lower temperature than those of directly released tritium gas. Yet, the threshold of the H2isotope exchange reaction is higher than the desorption reaction of tritiated water. Consequently, the effect of H2isotope exchange reaction would reduce significantly on water adsorbed Li4SiO4samples.

Organometal‐bridged periodic mesoporous catalysts with uniform spheres containing cavities in chambers were synthesized by rapid aerosol‐spray assisted co‐condensation between organometallic silane and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) in the presence of cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) and NaCl double templates. The as‐prepared M‐PPh2‐PMO(H) catalysts (M= Pd2+, Rh+and Ru2+) were used in various water‐medium organic reactions with the aim of diminishing environmental pollution from organic solvents. These catalysts exhibited high catalytic activities and selectivities owing to the high surface area, the uniform distribution of active sites, the ordered mesoporous channels and especially, the cavities as microreactors which facilitated the diffusion and adsorption of organic reactants. Meanwhile, they also displayed strong durability and could be used repeatedly owing to the organometals incorporated into silica walls and the presence of chamber cavities which could effectively protect the ordered mesoporous structure from damage and also inhibit the leaching of active sites.

A study conducted in China compared the effectiveness of instant messaging intervention (IMI) versus text messaging intervention (TMI) on antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence among men who have sex with men (MSM) living with HIV. The study found that the IMI group had a higher proportion of achieving optimal ART adherence compared to the TMI group. Participants in the IMI group also expressed higher satisfaction with the intervention services. The study suggests that future digital health interventions targeting ART adherence should prioritize instant messaging with multimedia information in areas with internet access.
