Shakespeare's republican leanings - or lack thereof - as evidenced in Julius Caesar have been debated because the drama effectively argues both sides of the case. This article presents a literary criticism for the book "Paco Yunque," by Peruvian author César Vallejo. The author comments on the incorporation of Marxist philosophy and ideology in this children's story and analyzes various aspects of the main characters. The changes made to traditional children's literature and fairy tales by Vallejo is also examined.

The Ognjen Spahić novel, Hansenova djeka (Hansen's Children), recompose the communist concentrationary universe, having as fictional starting point the last asylum for lepers from the South Eastern Europe, in Tichileşti, Romania. Two important themes organize the book: on the one hand, the illness and her bookish meanings and on the other, the communist dictatorship (any kind of dictatorship) generating isolation and mutilation. The tension of the narative receives thriller's accents on a naturalistic background, where the ethnical category, the age, the gender, the ex-political or social affiliation don't have any importance in the uniformizing universe of the illness, a spacious metaphor of the maimed ideology. The friendship, the hope, the desire for freedom, the aspiration to beauty - are the human values which are trying, in an universal way, to save the content of humanity, added to the free big world.
