The article focuses on the incorporation of environmental subjects in the educational curriculum in Brazil. In accordance with the 2005 census, the environmental education was part of the curriculum in almost 97 percent of schools. It also notes that the third National Conference had urged public schools in implementing environmental policies and practices.
