We have tested the hypothesis that renal tissue hypoxia and oxidative stress exist in polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and contribute to development of hypertension and renal disease progression.

The article presents the author's comment on the cultural difference she experienced when she moved to Australia from China. She said that her mother wanted her to be educated in an English-speaking country because she thought this would help her in my future career. When she joined an inner-city public school, she found that the environment was very different from the one that she had been used to. In China, unlike in Australia, students study very hard from an early age.
