This article details the fabrication of conductive Pt@PDMA/AC nanocomposite via layer by layer electrochemical deposition process on a flexible current collector for highly effective flexible supercapacitor. The unique nanostructure and crystallinity were characterized by using scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction. These suggested electrodes make the most of their incredible electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, electrochemical stability, and adherence to a flexible current collector. They also exhibit great capacitive performance and exceptional cycle life. The Pt@ PDMA/AC electrode has contributed to a good specific capacitance of 348.48 F/g at current density 1 A/g. Further, the nanocomposite shows remarkable stability where 95 % of its capacity retained after 3000 cycles at 10 A/g. due to synergetic effects. The final nanocomposite contributes to a maximum energy density of 108.9 Whkg−1at the power density of 2840.86 Wkg−1at 1 A/g current density. The resulting nanocomposite is a strong contender for energy storage and flexible electronic devices due to its outstanding electrochemical characteristics and great cycle stability.

India is home to the most significant number of tuberculosis (TB) cases around the globe. The COVID-19 crisis has deeply perturbed most of the essential TB services in India. Regulating TB is difficult in a densely populated country like India due to latent TB infection in millions of Indians, which can reactivate at any point in the future. Due to the ongoing pandemic, healthcare workers have been diverted to activities implemented for effective COVID-19 management, leaving a meager workforce to help deal with TB management. Integrating TB and COVID-19 to augment India’s health outreach is the need of the hour to diminish the effect of the COVID-19 crisis on TB. Increasing overall testing capacity, active screening, implementation of strategies for easy identification of TB hotspots, and ensuring uninterrupted drug supply for treatment through heedful planning of local and regional distribution and transportation will especially help cater to the vulnerable population who are at a high risk of suffering from adverse outcomes of TB. Lessons learnt in the battle against COVID-19 can most definitely help in providing insights to fulfill the goal of eliminating TB from India.

Zika virus remains endemic and opportunistic of high transmission in the tropical region of Africa, and the repeated cases of the Zika virus in Africa made it public health emergency in 2016. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the catastrophic cases of unknown and unreported deaths overwhelming the region of Africa could not give health attention to respond to other endemic diseases. Here, we present the possible complication and challenges associated with the Zika virus in Africa and COVID-19 predominance, shifting the attention from the Zika virus surveillance. This paper determines to enlighten the reader about the situation, the efforts to curb the transmission of both the Zika virus and the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the report recommends sustainable solutions that can lessen the threat to public health.
