As the development of smaller accelerators technique, an X-band bi-period side-coupled accelerating structure has been designed for medical use. The structure’s working frequency is 9.3 GHz. $$\pi /2$$ π/2 mode is chosen for the structure’s stability. There are 11 accelerating cells and 10 coupling cells, the first 5 of the accelerating cells work as non-light velocity part ($$\beta $$ β of the electron from 0.17 to 0.94), while the other 6 work as light velocity part. After CST simulation, the coupling constant between accelerating cells and coupling cells is 5%, and efficient shunt impedance is 142 $$M\Omega /m$$ MΩ/m . To feed power into the structure, a coupler is designed in the middle of the structure and the coupling coefficient is 1.4. After optimization, the particle’s capture efficiency is more than 30%, the particle energy is 2 MeV and the peak current is 60 mA, with the magnetron’s input power being 0.32 MW. X-band side-coupled accelerator efficiency is high and is a more optimized design. This design is very meaningful for the development of smaller accelerators technique.

The performance tests and the requirements of experiments on aircraft alighting gear actuating cylinder in the salt spray and hot and humid environment are presented in this paper, and the hydraulic system of experimental device is designed. The host computer software is developed by Lab Windows/CVI for actuating cylinder on test parameters settings, monitoring, and storage and record, The Siemens PLC are used at the sub-processors to control the salt spray experimental device. The field-test shows that the device control precision is higher to pressure, flow rate, and the parameters such as temperature, and it can realize the simulation for different salt spray and hot and humid environments. The test on aircraft landing gear by using actuating cylinder has a good human-computer interaction and communication function. The device is safe, reliable and it can reach the test requirements.

To optimizing efficiently control parameters in feed servo system for adequately giving out the CNC machine tools, the velocity loop control model is built, and the comprehensive evaluation function is given. The standard particle swarm algorithm is improved to optimizing the parameters of velocity loop control in CNC machine tools. It shows the best overall performance of the velocity loop in CNC machine tools that parameters optimized by improved particle swarm algorithm Compared with genetic algorithm, the standard particle swarm algorithm and handy calculation. This optimized algorithm is a new efficient ways to solve parameter optimization of CNC servo control system.

Abstract: Our study is to determine the expression of thyroid hormone, sex hormone, insulin, and C-peptide in Chinese male patients with thyrotoxic periodic paralysis (TPP). This study covered 102 patients with hyperthyroidism from Xijing Hospital. According to whether occurrence of TPP or not, patients were divided into two groups (those that were hyperthyroid with and without TPP) that were, matched with age, blood pressure, urea, and creatinine. We found the body mass index (BMI) in patients with TPP was higher than that in pure hyperthyroidism patients. The levels of the total thyroxine (T4), free triiodothyronine (FT3), and free thyroxine (FT4) were significantly lower in patients with TPP compared with pure hyperthyroidism patients, while serum testosterone levels were higher compared with pure hyperthyroidism patients. Moreover, after glucose administration, the concentration of insulin at 60, 120, and 180 min were significantly higher in patients with TPP than those in pure hyperthyroidism patients. The insulin area under the curve (AUC) was significantly increased in patients with TPP compared with pure hyperthyroidism patients. The levels of thyroid hormone, sex hormone, and insulin were different in Chinese male patients with TPP compared to those with only hyperthyroidism.

Two soils were modified with two kinds of cationic surfactants tetramethylammonium (TMA) and hexadecyltrimethylammonium (HDTMA) in order to increase their sorptive capabilities. Sorption of BTX in simulated groundwater by these modified soils has been investigated. Modified soils have higher ability to sorb benzene, toluene and xylene from simulated ground‐water than unmodified ones. The amount sorbed by modified ones is tens to hundreds times higher than the unmodified ones. Sorption isotherms of TMA and HTDMA modified soils are of different types, and different mechanisms take place when benzene homologues are sorbed.
