Accreditation serves as a demonstration of competency and thus improves overall laboratory quality. To ensure traceable, reliable, defensible data, quality must be approached as a philosophy rather than a program. The Cypress Environmental Laboratory (CEL), built in 2008, has based its operations on a commitment to high data quality, responsibility, and transparency. The CEL adheres to a strict standard set by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program, following practices outlined in the standard for monitoring and maintaining data quality.

Interpreting chemistry testing data is key to ensuring drinking water quality.

The data produced in water treatment plants contain a wealth of information on how well processes perform, but the key is how well the information is understood and applied. With a fundamental knowledge of microbiology and chemistry, plant operators are better equipped to get the most out of test results to help ensure high‐quality water.

This paper examines the representation of humans in large-scale, networked virtual environments. Previous work done in this field is summarized, and existing problems with rendering, articulating, and networking numerous human figures in real time are explained. We have developed a system that integrates together some well-known solutions along with new ideas. Models with multiple level of details, body-tracking technology and animation libraries to specify joint angles, efficient group representations to describe multiple humans, and hierarchical network protocols have been successfully employed to increase the number of humans represented, system performance, and user interactivity. The resulting system immerses participants effectively and has numerous useful applications.
