The article presents an interview with Claudia Kemfert, Head of the Department of Energy, Transport and Environment at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) and Professor of Energy Economics and Sustainability at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany, discussing the energy turnaround in Germany. Some of the other topics discussed include rising greenhouse gas emissions, stopping critical global warming and what makes a meaningful climate policy.

New paradigms, languages, modeling, verification, testing approaches and new tools in the field of programming and software should be created in the next 10 years, whether to make life easier for designers and maintainers of computer systems, to model and reliable software or to anticipate technological change. This text summarizes the challenges in the Programming and Software Engineering field on the horizon 2025.
