Abstract
The article presents the paper analyses of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention nationwide mortality data about the elevated rates of death related to high-risk behaviors in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is claimed that both the state's rate of deadly accidental poisoning and suicide rate have increased. According to sociologist Matt Wray, possible contributing factors are gambling, social isolation and weak mental health system.
