This study is based on tourists perceptions and reflections about their own behaviour when they travel. Our purpose is to study tourist behavior through the tourist and see what perceptions they have about behavior, through a phenomenographic study. We are aware of that tourist are individuals, which means that the perceptions can be different between our informants. Our study will also ensure how the tourist perceive themselves as tourist and what motivate them to travel. The motives the informants share with us created three tourist categories. In the tourist categories they perceive the motives different, which created two tourist types in every category. This study analyzes how the different tourist types perceived and reflected about their behaviour. Which showed that the informants did not perceive that they behave different or have a negative behavior when they travel. Where the difference in the behavior is that they spend more money and do things they normally don't do for themselves. This study's conclusion is that the tourist in same tourist type, makes the same trips and are surrounded by people in the same tourist type. Which create a similar behavior in the tourist type, and could be the reason why the informants don't perceive or reflect about their behaviour as different or negative when they travel.

This study aims to improve the cultural tourist typology methodology that uses cultural centrality and depth of cultural experience in its framework. Using a sample of Chinese tourists in Macau (n = 595) collected via questionnaire surveys, the study confirmed the determination effect of cultural centrality on depth of cultural experience. Subsequently, the study demonstrated an improved approach that eliminates such a determination effect in typology identification. Compared to McKercher's () approach, the improved typology presents a balanced segmentation of cultural tourists and distinguishes the segments more clearly in their sociodemographic characteristics. The improved typology generated more meaningful practical implications.

Poslednjih nekoliko decenija, tradicionalna uloga turističkih agencija značajno se promenila pod uticajem globalnih trendova u okviru turističke industrije. Ove promene iznedrile su kontrahovanje, konsolidaciju ali i nastanak vertikalnih integracija između agencija i ostalih pružalaca usluga. Ipak, najdramatičnije transformacije izazvale su kvalitativne promene u karakteristikama savremenih turista. Cilj rada ističe budućnsst turističkih agencija, koja je ugrožena smanjenjem značaja njihove uloge, analizira i sintetizuje njihovu borbu za očuvanjem pozicije značajnog distributivnog kanala unapređenjem odnosa sa turistima. Kompleksan odnos između turista i agencija podrazumeva upotrebu različitih mehanizama, kao što su poverenje, konzistentnost, jak brend, obogaćenje online ponude vodećim digitalnim inovacijama, personalizacija i tzv. human touch, koji čine glavne pokretače u izboru potrošača. Rad, takođe, obuhvata i studiju slučaja Grupacije Tomas Kuk, kas primer izuzetne kompetitivnosti i inovativnosti na polju transformacija u turističkoj industriji., Over the past few decades, the traditional roles performed by travel agencies have been changed under the pressure of global trends in travel industry. These changes produced contraction, consolidation, and vertical integrations among agencies and other service suppliers. However, the most dramatic transformations are caused by qualitative changes in the profile of the modern tourists. The objective of this paper sets out the future of travel agencies, which is threatened by the gradual reduction in their importance in travel industry, and analyzes and synthesizes their struggle to remain an important distribution channel by improving relations with the tourists. Complex relations between tourists and agencies include the use of different mechanisms such as trust, consistency, a strong brand, and enriching one's online offer with leading digital innovations, personalization and the human touch, as the most important factors of customer choice. The paper also includes Thomas Cook Group case study on dealing with global changes, as an example of highly competitive and innovative transformations in the travel industry.

This paper offers a starting point to the development of a future geotourism typology model through the adaptation of McKercher's (2002) cultural tourism typology model. This approach is tested by surveying visitors from Crystal Cave in Yanchep National Park, Western Australia. The results indicate a need to include some new elements and adapt some of the existing cultural tourism typologies to fit the geotourism context.

Purpose – The objective of the study is to describe and analyse different tourist shopping typologies based on their motives for visiting a shopping destination well known for its low prices. Design/methodology/approach – The data were collected by means of structured questionnaires administered to tourists visiting the Swedish destination. The survey instrument measured constructs designed to understand shopping motivation and feelings experienced during the course of shopping. Findings – Two distinct tourist shopping typologies were found, based on a tourist's primary purpose in travelling, and designated “Follow the Plan” and “Go with the Flow”. The present study proposes the use of a theoretical continuum that takes into account feelings experienced at a low-priced destination and consumer shopping motivations. Originality/value – This study contributes to the existing literature on tourism shopping by suggesting typologies built on feelings experienced and shopping motivations, thus providing new insights on tourist shopping typologies found at a low-price destination. Results are not general for any low-priced destination, thus further research is needed in other destinations as well.
