Počev od 2009. godine u Srbiji je na snazi Zakon o dobrobiti životinja i prateći pravilnici koji bliže određuju uslove za obezbeđenje dobrobiti pasa u smeštajnim objektima različite namene. Sa jedne strane, Zakon o dobrobiti životinja obavezuje lokalne samouprave da brinu o nezbrinutim psima čime su ove u obavezi da osnuju opštinska prihvatilišta za pse. Sa druge strane, raspoznavanjem smeštajnih objekata za pse, koje imaju različite uloge, Zakon o dobrobiti životinja je zainteresovao mnoge građane Srbije da započnu privatni posao osnivanjem privatnih prihvatilišta za nezbrinute pse, pansiona i odgajivačnica. Namena svih nabrojanih objekata je različita, ali i specifična, a zajednička osobina im je da se u njima drže psi različitih rasa, različite starosti i različitog pola. Ove osobine pasa mogu predstavljati predisponirajuće činioce za pojavu bolesti prouzrokovanih živim agensima, te je stoga neophodno u prihvatilištima, pansionima i odgajivačnicama primeniti odgovarajuće biosigurnosne mere, standarde i protokole kako bi se očuvalo njihovo zdravlje i obezbedila dobrobit pasa. Prihvatilišta predstavljaju objekte najvećeg rizika za pojavu bolesti prouzrokovanih živim agensima, ali rizik ništa manji nije ni u odgajivačnicama za pse gde se nalaze štenci različite starosti. Novorođeni štenci su pod velikim rizikom od razvoja bolesti prouzrokovanih živim agensima jer je njihov imuni sistem u razvoju, a imuna memorija ne postoji. Pojavi bolesti prouzrokovanih živim agensima pogoduje i stres, čiji su izvori različiti u različitim smeštajnim objektima i kojeg je nemoguće izbeći, ali se može minimalizovati. Upravo zato, biosigurnosne mere, standard i protokoli mogu doprineti očuvanju zdravlja i dobrobiti pasa u različitim smeštajnim objektima. Ove biosigurnosne mere se razlikuju od namene smeštajnog objekta za pse i o njima će biti reči u ovom radu.

Private Set Intersection (PSI) protocols can securely compute the intersection of the private sets on the server and the client without revealing additional data. This work introduces the concept of Privacy-Preserving Feature Retrieved Private Set Intersection ((PFRPSI)-F-2). In (PFRPSI)-F-2 protocols, the client can obtain the intersection that satisfies a given predicate without revealing the predicate and additional data. We formally define the (PFRPSI)-F-2 protocol, including its inputs, outputs, functionality, and security. To achieve the privacy guarantee in (PFRPSI)-F-2 protocols, a new two-party protocol is designed, namely Secure Secret Shared Retrieval ((SR)-R-3), which can be used to securely determine whether each item on the server satisfies the predicate. We construct an (SR)-R-3 protocol and prove its security in the semi-honest model. On the basis of this, we design an efficient OT-based (PFRPSI)-F-2 protocol and an easy-to-implement DH-based (PFRPSI)-F-2 protocol and prove that they are secure in the semi-honest model. Our implementation shows that the OT-based (PFRPSI)-F-2 protocol can perform the matching for about 1000K items in 3.8 seconds with a single thread. Moreover, the DH-based (PFRPSI)-F-2 can perform the matching for about 7000K items in one hour with four threads, with communication totaling 1456 MB, while the OT-based (PFRPSI)-F-2 protocol requires 1673 MB.

Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) is a well-known remote sensing technology used for measurement of displacement of the Earth’s surface. InSAR uses radar signal reflections from coherent features over time to track the ground displacement over time and has a high level of accuracy. Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) is a refined version of InSAR in which the method is to detect and track stable PS including buildings, bridges, corner reflector (CRs) and transponders (ECRs). The thesis aims to determine whether a simulated 9-mm vertical displacement of a CR can be detected and estimated in a study area in Mårtsbo using PSI technique. The study also compared the results obtained from PSI using two different software, SARPROZ, and GECORIS with similar datasets. To achieve this, 90 images of sentinel-1A data were obtained with the acquisition dates from January 2023 to May 2024 using three different ascending orbit tracks (ASC29, ASC102, and ASC175). These data were used to generate PS points (our measurement points) and to estimate Line of Sight (LOS) displacement maps with a ECR as a reference point. The findings revealed that the CR in Mårtsbo is a useful geodetic device for monitoring of the ground motion. Moreover, PSI analysis could detect the 9-mm displacement of the CR with an accuracy of 2-3 millimeters from the estimated LOS displacements. Although variations in the LOS displacement can be found across different orbit tracks, most likely attributed to factors such as spatial-temporal decorrelation and incidence angle. Lastly, the comparison between SARPROZ and GECORIS showed good agreement for estimated LOS displacement for CR, indicating to be accurate using PSI technique. The challenges related to data processing, orbit track differences, and atmospheric conditions were highlighted, including the possibility for improvement for future studies.

Lančana reakcija polimeraze (PCR) je u današnje vreme jedna od najčešće korišćenih metoda u kliničkoj mikrobiologiji pri čemu naročito olakšava dijagnostiku virusnih infekcija. Adenovirusi pasa 1 i 2 (CaDV1 i 2) su srodni dvolančani DNK virusi bez spoljašnjeg omotača i predstavnici familije Adenoviridae koji ispoljavaju različit tropizam. CaDV1 se umnožava u ćelijama endotela krvnih sudova kao i parenhima jetre i bubrega, dok se CaDV2 vezuje za receptore ćelija respiratornog i crevnog epitela. Infektivni hepatitis pasa karakterišu klinički simptomi akutnog hepatitisa i posledica je infekcije adenovirusom pasa tip 1. Adenovirus pasa tip 2 izaziva respiratorno oboljenje i jedan je od patogena u sklopu kompleksa infektivnih respiratornih oboljenja pasa, odnosno infektivnog traheobronhitisa. Osim pasa, na infekciju adenovirusima prijemčivi su i divlji mesojedi koji su ujedno i rezervoari CaDV1 u prirodi. Pojava infektivnog hepatitisa u populaciji pasa je u današnje vreme retka zahvaljujući sprovođenju postupka vakcinacije. Međutim, ovo oboljenje je i dalje prisutno kod nevakcinisanih pasa, odnosno u slučajevima njihovog kontakta sa divljim mesojedima. PCR se rutinski koristi u dijagnostici adenovirusnih infekcija pasa. Navedena metoda obezbeđuje brzo dobijanje pouzdanih rezultata ispitivanja što često nije moguće primenom klasičnih virusoloških metoda, a naročito u slučajevima ispitivanja autoliziranih uzoraka tkiva divljih mesojeda. Metoda PCR, uz upotrebu parova prajmera specifičnih za visokokonzervirane fragmente E3 regiona genoma adenovirusa čijom se primenom obezbeđuje detekcija i diferencijacija CaDV1 i CaDV2, će se vršiti ispitivanjem ekstrakata DNK različitih tkiva lisica i šakala. PCR će se vršiti po uspostavljenom protokolu uz izvođenje horizontalne gel elektroforeze radi vizualizacije i analize dobijenih PCR produkata.

In today’s medicine, 3D planning and PSI are not commonly used in revision TKA surgery and little is known about the accuracy and implementation of these techniques in revision TKA. Therefore, the question arises, what are the potential benefits of 3D planning and PSI in revision surgery? The goal of this thesis is to explore the potential benefits of 3D planning and PSI in revision surgery. To achieve this, a retrospective study and a prospective study are performed, and a first design of a 3D printed PSI is created. For both retrospective and prospective study, 3D plannings are made of patients undergoing revision TKA, comparing the pre-operative planning with the post-operative results based on size prediction, augmentation prediction and component placement analysis. The results of the studies conducted in this research align closely with each other, providing similar results for size and augmentation prediction and component placement analysis. All in all, these studies indicated consistency and reliability of the 3D prediction in different scenarios, affirming the potential of 3D planning in revision TKA surgery. Additionally, the first design for a PSI, a 3D-printed guide, is constructed. This design incorporates several important landmarks for component placement during revision TKA, increasing the outcome of these surgeries, especially if landmarks are missing or unidentifiable during surgery. Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) stands as a widely adopted technique for monitoring displacements on the Earth's surface, providing millimeter-level precision. Several InSAR studies show the efficacy in retrospectively identifying hazardous situations, such as the failure of a structure. The next imperative step is to detect and identify anomalous points proactively. This necessitates robust and repeatable displacement estimates to avoid misinterpretation and instill confidence in the results. Many InSAR studies use a batch estimation process requiring a robust algorithm to obtain reliable results. Here we propose a test recipe and introduce metrics to assess the robustness of the InSAR displacement estimates quantitatively, comparing the batch-estimated results of varying SAR acquisition inputs. Robustness characterizes the stability of displacement estimates in the face of disturbances and uncertainties, demonstrating resilience against changing conditions and input. Our quantification of robustness involves three core metrics to assess InSAR displacement estimates. Case studies conducted over the city center of Amsterdam and a coastal region at the North Sea reveal the useful insight provided by robustness testing in identifying ambiguities and fallacies in the applied algorithm. Notably, the main challenges arise from the estimation of atmospheric delay, which emerges as a sensitive step with ample room for enhancement. A robust atmospheric estimation appears very dependent on the use of a sufficiently large area of interest while the estimation is sensitive to first-order network changes. Through the implementation of appropriate measures, an average metric improvement of a factor of four can be achieved, reducing the likelihood of a misinterpretation of the InSAR time series. Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) is a geodetic technique that is capable of monitoring surface displacements up to millimeter-level of precision. The end products from conventional InSAR processing are application-agnostic, which means that they are not optimized for any particular application. InSAR products could be more beneficial if tailored for a relevant application, particularly if expert users can tune the products according to their monitoring requirement. Here, we develop tools for application-aligned monitoring by means of the selection of application-relevant arcs between scatterers in InSAR. We are interested in the use of local (short) arcs between point scatterers, as these arcs are more likely to be better suited for monitoring localized differential deformation, and may provide observations of better quality due to the fact that they are less prone to atmospheric noise. We first compare the time series of local arcs and conventional time series w.r.t.\ a common reference point based on their deformation behavior. The comparison reveals that the time series of local arcs are capable of providing additional information on deformation behavior over the conventional method. However, the quality of observations in local arcs in general is found to be more variable, and often even worse than those from the conventional method. Most likely, the reason for this is the absence of noise reduction in local arcs in comparison to the time series from the conventional method which optimizes the selection of the common reference point to reduce noise in the time series. In addition, to optimize the arc selection for a given application, we propose an arc tuning strategy, where criteria can be set based on arc parameters, i.e., the length, the elevation difference (between point scatterers) and the azimuth of the arc. Syftet med denna studie är att analysera den rättsliga utvecklingen kring den offentliga förvaltningens roll att tillgängliggöra offentliga data i svensk rätt, utifrån offentlighetsprincipen och den så kallade PSI-lagstiftningen samt förhållandet dem emellan. Vidare ska trender analyseras, vissa framåtblickar göras och förslag lämnas de lege ferenda. Den offentliga förvaltningen med sina stora datamängder har i någon mening alltid varit datadriven. Likväl har utvecklingen inom big data under de senaste decennierna, d.v.s. möjligheterna att kunna lagra och behandla betydande och varierande mängder data i allt högre hastigheter, inneburit att offentliga datamängder blivit en alltmer värdefull resurs för olika aktörer. Ur detta har en informationsmarknad växt fram som bygger på offentlig information. Offentliga datamängder tillgängliggörs och vidareutnyttjas antingen villkorat eller fritt för alla och envar, mot avgift eller kostnadsfritt i form av t.ex. Public Sector Information (PSI) eller s.k. öppna data. Data från flera myndigheter kan kombineras med varandra och med andra datakällor som kontinuerligt skapar nya tillämpningsområden. Inom EU har den s.k. dataekonomin etablerats. Den offentliga förvaltningen har härigenom fått en alltmer aktiv roll som tillgängliggörare och katalysator för dataekonomin, vilket drivs på av rättslig reglering såsom lagen (2022:818) om den offentliga sektorns tillgängliggörande av data, vilken utgör en implementering av det s.k. öppna data-direktivet.Icke desto mindre innebär denna utveckling också stora risker för såväl individen som staten. Likaså finns betydande risker för såväl informationssäkerheten som den nationella säkerheten, i s, The purpose of this study is to analyze the legal developments concerning the public administration’s role in making public data available to the public in accordance with the Swedish constitutional principle of publicity and the EU’s Public Sector Information legislation (PSI), including the open data directive, and the relationship between them. Furthermore, the study identifies trends and presents certain proposals for future legislation. The public administration, with its large amounts of data, has in some sense always been data-driven. Nevertheless, through the development of big data over the past decades, the ability to store and analyze vast and varying amounts of data at an increasingly growing speed has made public data an even more valuable resource for different actors. This has led to the establishment of an information market based on public data. Public data can be made available for everyone either for a fee or for free in the form of for example Public Sector Information (PSI) or open data. Data from different agencies can be combined with one another and other private data sources, which continuously creates new areas of application. Within the EU this is framed as the data economy. Public administrative bodies have therefore achieved a more active role as a catalyst for the data economy, which has been further institutionalized through legal regulations such as the act (2022:818) on the availability of public data, through which the EU open data directive has been implemented. Nevertheless, this development entails important risks for both the individual and the nation state. There are underlying risks concerning mass surveillance, discrimination and disinformation. Lajšmanioza je teško hronično oboljenje pasa i ljudi, koja je u Mediteranskom basenu izazvana protozoom Leishamania infantum. Prenosi se putem peščanih mušica iz roda Phlebotomus. Pas je glavni rezervoar ovog patogena. Crna Gora je endemsko žarište lajšmanioze pasa, pre svega opštine Bar i Ulcinj. Naročito su ugroženi psi lutalice i psi u prihvatilištima koji nisu obuhvaćeni nikakvim merama prevencije. U literaturi, lajšmanioza pasa je opisana sa aspekta kliničko-patološkog nalaza i poremećaja strukuture i funkcije tkiva i organa tokom četiri tipične progresivne faze bolesti. Manje su zastupljena savremena istraživanja vezana za različite aspekte specifičnog ćelijskog i humoralnog imunskog odgovora. Takođe, postoji i opravdana potreba da se prošire saznanja o funkcionalnom stanju vaskularnog endotela. Budući da se on nalazi na neposrednom „udaru“ specifičnog humoralnog imuniteta, dalja istraživanja bi doprinela razumevanju mehanizama III tipa preosetljivosti i vaskulitisa, odnosno lokalne i sistemske inflamacije, karakteristične za odmakle faze bolesti. Zbog toga je cilj ove disertacije bio da se ispita veza pojedinih markera oštećenja tkiva i markera oštećenja vaskularnog endotela kod lajšmanioze pasa u različitim fazama bolesti. Materijal i metode: Izvedena je opservaciona studija preseka na 50 pasa sa kliničkim znacima lajšmanioze u različitim fazama bolesti. Studija je sprovedena na višku materijala prikupljenog posle dijagnostike lajšmanioze i tokom njene terapije kod pasa u jednom od prihvatilišta za napuštene pse u opštini Bar, Crna Gora. Lajšmanioza je dijagnostikovana na osnovu kliničke slike i seroloških nalaza, dobijenih komercijalnim enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) paketom reagenasa. Dodatnu procenu zdravstvenog stanja omogućile se rutinske hematološke i biohemijske analize krvi. Posle postavljanja dijagnoze, na osnovu kliničkih znakova i vrednosti nivoa IgG antitela protiv Leishmania spp. psi su podeljeni u tri grupe. Prvu grupu je činilo 14 p, Leishmaniosis is a severe chronic disease of dogs and humans which is in the Mediterranean region caused by the protozoan Leishmania infantum. It is transmitted by sandflies belonging to the genus Phlebotomus. Dogs are the main reservoir of this pathogen. Montenegro is an endemic focus of canine leishmaniosis, particularly in the municipalities of Bar and Ulcinj. Stray dogs and dogs in animal shelters, for which there are no preventive measures, are particularly at risk. Canine leishmaniosis has been described in terms of clinicopathological findings and disturbances in the structure and function of tissues and organs during four typical progressive stages of the disease. Current research on various aspects of specific cellular and humoral immune responses is less well-represented. In addition, there is a need to increase the knowledge regarding the functional state of the vascular endothelium. Because it is directly "hit" by specific humoral immunity, further research would contribute to the understanding of the mechanisms of type III hypersensitivity and vasculitis, that is, local and systemic inflammation characteristic of the advanced stages of the disease. Therefore, the aim of this dissertation was to investigate the relationship between specific markers of tissue damage and vascular endothelial damage in canine leishmaniosis at different stages of the disease. Material and methods: An observational cross-sectional study was performed on 50 dogs with clinical signs of leishmaniosis in different stages of the disease. The study was conducted on excess material collected after the diagnosis of leishmaniosis and during its therapy in dogs in one of the shelters for abandoned dogs in the municipality of Bar, Montenegro. Onkologija je grana medicine koja se bavi proučavanjem, dijagnostikom i lečenjem različitih oblika tumora. Kod malih životinja starijih od 10 godina, oko 50% ugine od neke maligne bolesti. Konstantno se traga za novim modalitetima sa cilljem da se pronađe što efikasnija terapija koja bi dovela do izlečenja, odnosno što ranije pojave remisije i produžetka kvalitetnog života. Elektrohemoterapija (ECT) predstavlja lokalni tretman tumoroznih masa koristeći kombinaciju hemoterapije i električnih impulsa koji povećavaju terapijski efekat citostatika. Ova metoda se zasniva na aplikaciji kratkih impulsa visokog napona koji se generišu preko elektroporatora. Delovanjem elektroimpulsa ćelijskoj membrani se povećava permeabilnost za hemoterapeutike koji se aplikuju intravenski ili intratumoralno. Najbolje rezultate pokazali su bleomicin i cisplatin. Elektroporacijom ćelija tj. elektrohemoterapijom se efikasnost bleomicina uvećava i do 1000 puta, dok se citotoksičnost cisplatina u tumoroznom tkivu pojačava do 80 puta. Ova tehnika je poslednjih decenija postala značajna opcija u veterinarskoj onkologiji. Danas se smatra efikasnim i sigurnim načinom lečenja koji ne predstavlja samo palijativni tretman, već često i prvi izbor terapije. Iako je hirurgija zlatni standard u lečenju malignih bolesti, uključujući i onkologiju reproduktivnog trakta, elektrohemoterapija predstavlja u mnogo čemu pristupačniju, povoljniju, manje invazivnu, bezbednu i delotvornu terapijski strategiju.

Over the years, InSAR has become an indispensable tool in the study of ground deformation, including volcanic deformation, and this continues to be the case in times of improved technology. Since the volcanoes on the Caribbean islands of Saba and St. Eustatius are active, the implementation of an InSAR-based monitoring system is crucial to enhance the spatial resolution of volcano monitoring beyond the capabilities of the ground-based monitoring network, for instance in the case of localized deformations such as dike intrusions. However, technical challenges arise in these tropical settings, caused by dense rainforest, atmospheric artifacts and terrain variability, posing serious challenges to the use of InSAR. Time series InSAR, including SBAS and PSI, can be used to overcome these limitations. A previous study has explored the use of PSI for monitoring, using the already available DePSI software. In this research, an SBAS approach within the Delft InSAR software framework is developed using state-of-the-art Python packages, including (sar)xarray, dask and zarr, and is used to assess whether there is capability to develop SBAS into a volcanic monitoring tool for Saba and St. Eustatius. In addition, a preliminary comparison between the SBAS and PSI methodologies is performed based on a theoretical and (semi-)quantifiable approach. This study combines data from two satellites operating at different wavelengths: Sentinel-1 (C-band) and ALOS-2 (L-band). Assuming no ongoing deformation, based on GNSS results, the variability of the results around zero can be used as an indicator of precision. The results obtained through SBAS are promising, in particular for L-band, on account of e.g., extensive spatial coverage, efficiency and relatively low variability even with the presence of atmospheric and DEM components. Cíle práce jsou stanovení citlivosti na vnější podněty různě starého HMTD, detekovatelnost pomocí používaných mobilních analytických přístrojů a pomocí psů, a snaha chemicky zanalyzovat a identifikovat rozkladné produkty HMTD. Při psaní teoretické části bylo využito maximum dostupných literárních zdrojů mladších patnácti let. Tato část popisuje fyzikální, chemické a výbušinářské vlastnosti HMTD, kde je podrobně rozebrána problematika degradace HMTD a vznik jeho degradačních produktů, a metody detekce, ve které byla podrobněji popsána práce se psy. Experimentální část obsahuje přípravu jak neznačeného HMTD, tak i jeho 13C a 15N isotopologů, a následnou interpretaci pásů pomocí FTIR a Ramanovy spektroskopie. Dále jsou v této části vysvětleny provedené postupy metod chemických analýz a metody detekce HMTD včetně použitých přístrojů, které by mohly identifikovat a kvantifikovat produkty rozkladu různě starých vzorků, a stanovení citlivosti pro různě staré vzorky HMTD. Ve výsledkové části jsou diskutovány výsledky jednotlivých metod měření včetně kvantifikovaných rozkladných produktů, které se podařilo zanalyzovat. V závěru jsou shrnuty nové poznatky, splněné cíle a návrh pro pokračování v této práci., The objectives of the work are to determine the sensitivity to external HMTD of various ages, the stimulus using the used mobile analytical devices and with the help of dogs, and an effort to chemically analyze and identify the decomposition products of HMTD. When writing the theoretical part, maximum available literary sources under the age of fifteen were used. This part describes the physical, chemical and explosive properties of HMTD, where the problem of degradation of HMTD and the formation of its degradation products is discussed in detail, detection methods, in which the work with dogs was described in more detail. The experimental part contains the preparation of both unlabeled HMTD and its 13C and 15N isotopologues, followed by band interpretation using FTIR and Raman spectroscopy. Furthermore, this section explains the performed procedures of chemical analysis methods and HMTD detection methods, including the instruments used that could identify and quantify the decomposition products of various old samples, and the determination of sensitivity for various old HMTD samples. In the results of the section, individual measurement methods are discussed, including quantified decomposition products that were analyzed. Geodetic data can detect and estimate deformation signals and rates due to natural and anthropogenic phenomena. In the present study, we focus on northeastern Italy, an area characterized by ~1.5–3 mm/yr of convergence rates due to the collision of Adria-Eurasia plates and active subsidence along the coasts. To define the rates and trends of tectonic and subsidence signals, we use a Multi-Temporal InSAR (MT-InSAR) approach called the Stanford Method for Persistent Scatterers (StaMPS), which is based on the detection of coherent and temporally stable pixels in a stack of single-master differential interferograms. We use Sentinel-1 SAR images along ascending and descending orbits spanning the 2015–2019 temporal interval as inputs for Persistent Scatterers InSAR (PSI) processing. We apply spatial-temporal filters and post-processing steps to reduce unrealistic results. Finally, we calibrate InSAR measurements using GNSS velocities derived from permanent stations available in the study area. Our results consist of mean ground velocity maps showing the displacement rates along the radar Line-Of-Sight for each satellite track, from which we estimate the east–west and vertical velocity components. Our results provide a detailed and original view of active vertical and horizontal displacement rates over the whole region, allowing the detection of spatial velocity gradients, which are particularly relevant to a better understanding of the seismogenic potential of the area. As regards the subsidence along the coasts, our measurements confirm the correlation between subsidence and the geological setting of the study area, with rates of ~2–4 mm/yr between the Venezia and Marano lagoons, and lower than 1 mm/yr near Grado.

Poseban problem predstavlja otpornost virusa u spoljašnjoj sredini tokom dužeg perioda sa mogućnošću prenošenja na prijemčivog domaćina, ali i njegova otpornost prema većini dezinfekcionih sredstava. Parvovirus pokazuje osetljivost prema halogenima, kao što je natrijum-hipohlorit koji se sve češće koristi u procesima dezinfekcije u odgajivačnicama širom sveta. Dobra higijenska praksa i dezinfekcija u odgajivačnicama, ali i kontinuirana edukacija vlasnika mogu smanjiti rizik od pojave oboljenja., Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious disease of dogs caused by canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2). Contamination of dog housing facilities, as well as their environment, is common despite vaccination of dogs against parvovirus. A special problem is the resistance of the virus in the environment for long periods with the possibility of being transmitted to susceptible host, but also its resistance to most disinfectants. Parvovirus shows sensitivity to halogens such as sodium hypochlorite, which is increasingly used in disinfection processes in kennels around the world. Good hygiene practices and disinfection in kennels, as well as continuing education of the owners, can reduce the risk of disease occurrence.

Bolest intervertebralnog diska je jedno od najčešćih neuroloških stanja koje srećemo kod pasa, ređe kod mačaka. Hondrodistrofične rase kao što su jazavičari, francuski buldozi kao i psi rase ši-cu su predisponirani za ova stanja, koja se manifestuju bolom , parezom ili paralizom prednjih i zadnjih ekstremiteta. Pored ovih rasa, patologiju intervertebralnog diska srećemo kod biglova i nemačkih ovčara. Takvo stanje značajno utiče na kvalitet života. Međupršljenski diskovi su želatinozne mase okružene fibroznim omotačem koje amortizuju i ublažavaju frikciju izmedju pršljenova. Tipični problem se dešava kada sadržaj diska izadje u intervertebralni kanal i na taj način uzrokuje kompresiju kičmene moždine. Bolest intervertebralnog diska može biti akutna, Hansen I, gde dolazi do ekstruzije unutrašnjeg sadržaja diska ili hronična, odnosno Hansen II, pri čemu dolazi do protruzije spoljašnjeg fibroznog omotača diska. Klinički znaci su najčešće bol u vratu, ledjima, ataksija, slabost i u krajnjoj situaciji paraliza ekstremiteta. Dijagnoza se postavlja na osnovu kliničke slike i naprednih tehnika snimanja. Kompjuterizovana tomografija (CT), kao i magnetna rezonanca su najbolji način postavljanja dijagnoze. Ovim snimanjem ustanovljava se tačna patologija i lokalizacija procesa. Kod velikog broja pacijenata do oporavka dolazi konzervativnim metodama lečenja, ali se smatra da je procent uspešnosti oporavka pacijenata nakon hirurške intervencije blizu 95%. Najčešće hirurške procedure koje se obavljaju su fenestracija diska i dekompresija kičmene moždine. Dekompresija kičmene moždine u nivou vratnog dela kičme obavlja se sa ventralne strane tzv. Ventral slot, dok se u nivou torakolumbalnog dela kičme najčešće vrši hemilaminektomija., Intervertebral disc disease is one of the most common neurological conditions that we encounter in dogs, less often in cats. Chondrodistrophic breeds such as dachshunds, French bulldogs as well as dogs of the shi-tzu breed are predisposed to these conditions, which are manifested by pain, paresis or paralysis of the anterior and posterior extremities. In addition to these breeds, the pathology of the intervertebral disc is encountered in beagles and German shepherds. Such a situation significantly affects the quality of life. The intervertebral discs are gelatinous masses surrounded by a fibrous sheath that depreciates and relieves friction between the vertebrae. A typical problem occurs when the contents of the disc go out into the intervertebral canal and thus cause compression of the spinal cord. Intervertebral disc disease can be acute, Hansen I, where extrusion of the internal contents of the disc occurs or chronic, i.e. Hansen II, whereby protrusion of the outer fibrous membrane of the disc occurs. Clinical signs are most often pain in the neck and back, ataxia, weakness and, in extreme situation, paralysis of the extremities. The diagnosis is made on the basis of clinical picture and advanced imaging techniques. Computed tomography (CT) as well as magnetic resonance imaging are the best way to diagnose. This type of scaning establishes the exact pathology and localization of the process. In a large number of patients, recovery occurs with conservative methods of treatment, but the percentage of success of recovery of patients after surgical intervention is considered to be close to 95%. The most common surgical procedures performed are disc fenestration and decompression of the spinal cord. Decompression of the spinal cord at the level of the cervical spine is performed from the ventral side of the so-called Ventral slot, while in the level of the thoracolumbar part of the spine, hemilaminectomy is more common.

In the past two decades, the fast development of both communication and digital tech-nologies has led to profound changes in how interpreting services are performed. Several studies have reported on how interpreters perceive and experience these technological changes and on interpreters' attitudes towards specific types of technologies in different interpreting sectors, such as public service interpreting or PSI. In this study, we focus on technologies which can support the interpreter' s preparation, performance and workflow of onsite interpreting assignments, in particular: machine translation tools, digital glossa-ries for manual term look-up, automatic terminology recognition tools based on speech recognition, note-taking apps and voice-recording tools. Our contribution aims to present the results of a survey into public service interpreters' use and acceptance of these types of technologies in the PSI sector.

This chapter takes a close look at the conceptualization of parasocial interaction (PSI), i.e., users' illusionary experience, during media exposure, of being in a reciprocal social interaction with a media performer (while objectively this is not the case). The chapter discusses existing conceptual challenges and boundary conditions, and proposes future research avenues. A review of PSI theory reveals that a performer's anticipated user response, and implicit forms of address have been neglected in empirical research to date. The biggest conceptual challenge to the PSI concept, however, poses the "interactivity problem." Do user interactions with online performers (influencers, streamers, etc.) and other characters in (at least partially) interactive settings still qualify as PSI? The chapter proposes that the concept can still be applied under certain conditions. PSI can be germane to interactive modalities if an individual user (a) feels like being in a reciprocal interaction with the performer; (b) feels like being directly personally addressed by the performer; and feels as if the interaction is reciprocally intimate - while it can be demonstrated that these three qualities are objectively not true.

Privacy-preserving techniques for processing sets of information have attracted the research community's attention in recent years due to society's increasing dependency on the availability of data at any time. One of the fundamental problems in set operations is known as Private Set Intersection (PSI). The problem requires two parties to compute the intersection between their sets while preserving correctness and privacy. Although several efficient two-party PSI protocols already exist, protocols for PSI in the multi-party setting (MPSI) currently scale poorly with a growing number of parties, even though this applies to many real-life scenarios. This paper fills this gap by proposing two multi-party protocols based on Bloom filters and threshold homomorphic PKEs, which are secure in the semi-honest model. The first protocol is a multi-party PSI, whereas the second provides a more subtle functionality -threshold multi-party PSI (T-MPSI) - which outputs items of the server that appear in at least some number of other private sets. The protocols are inspired by the Davidson-Cid protocol based on Bloom filters. We compare our MPSI protocol against Kolesnikov et al., which is among the fastest known MPSI protocols. Our MPSI protocol performs better than Kolesnikov et al. in terms of run time, given that the sets are small and there is a large number of parties. Our T-MPSI protocol performs better than other existing works: the computational and communication complexities are linear in the number of elements in the largest set given a fixed number of colluding parties. We conclude that our MPSI and T-MPSI protocols are practical solutions suitable for emerging use-case scenarios with many parties, where previous solutions did not scale well., Cyber Security, Technology, Policy and Management

Main conclusion: Decreased PG constrains PSI activity due to inhibition of transcript and polypeptide abundance of light-harvesting and reaction center polypeptides generating a reversible, yellow phenotype during cold acclimation of pgp1. Cold acclimation of the Arabidopsis pgp1 mutant at 5 °C resulted in a pale-yellow phenotype with abnormal chloroplast ultrastructure compared to its green phenotype upon growth at 20 °C despite a normal cold-acclimation response at the transcript level. In contrast, wild type maintained its normal green phenotype and chloroplast ultrastructure irrespective of growth temperature. In contrast to cold acclimation of WT, growth of pgp1 at 5 °C limited the accumulation of Lhcbs and Lhcas assessed by immunoblotting. However, a novel 43 kD polypeptide of Lhcb1 as well as a 29 kD polypeptide of Lhcb3 accumulated in the soluble fraction which was absent in the thylakoid membrane fraction of cold-acclimated pgp1 which was not observed in WT. Cold acclimation of pgp1 destabilized the Chl–protein complexes associated with PSI and predisposed energy distribution in favor of PSII rather than PSI compared to the WT. Functionally, in vivo PSI versus PSII photochemistry was inhibited in cold-acclimated pgp1 to a greater extent than in WT relative to controls. Greening of the pale-yellow pgp1 was induced when cold-acclimated pgp1 was shifted from 5 to 20 °C which resulted in a marked decrease in excitation pressure to a level comparable to WT. Concomitantly, Lhcbs and Lhcas accumulated with a simultaneous decrease in the novel 43 and 29kD polypeptides. We conclude that the reduced levels of phosphatidyldiacylglycerol in the pgp1 limit the capacity of the mutant to maintain the structure and function of its photosynthetic apparatus during cold acclimation. Thus, maintenance of normal thylakoid phosphatidyldiacylglycerol levels is essential to stabilize the photosynthetic apparatus during cold acclimation.

A search for the decays of the Higgs and Z bosons to J/psi gamma and Upsilon(nS)gamma (n = 1,2,3) is performed with pp collision data samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of up to 20.3 fb(-1) collected at root s = 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. No significant excess of events is observed above expected backgrounds and 95% C.L. upper limits are placed on the branching fractions. In the J/psi gamma final state the limits are 1.5 x 10(-3) and 2.6 x 10(-6) for the Higgs and Z boson decays, respectively, while in the Upsilon(1S, 2S, 3S)gamma. final states the limits are (1.3, 1.9, 1.3) x 10(-3) and (3.4, 6.5, 5.4) x 10(-6), respectively.

Babezioza pasa je protozoarno oboljenje uzrokovano sa Babesia canis (podvrste B.canis canis, B.canis vogeli i B.canis rossi koja parazitira i kod mačaka) i B. gibsoni. Prenose ih iksodidni krpelji Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor marginatus i Dermacentor reticulates tako da je širenje bolesti u direktnoj korelaciji sa širenjem i dinamikom populacije navedenih krpelja. Oboljenje karakteriše visoka telesna temperatura, ikterus, hematurija, inapetenca i apatija. Uginuća su moguća kod pasa svih uzrasta, mada u većini slučajeva bolest protiče akutno, a prebolele životinje stiču relativan imunitet. Ovo obolenje je zadnjih deset godina u ekspanziji na području Beograda. U periodu 2019-2020.godine ukupno je pregledana krv od 227 pasa sa simptomima koji su ukazivali na prisustvo babesia. Sumnja na bolest se postavljala na osnovu kliničke slike i nalaza krpelja. Dijagnoza se postavljala nalazom babezija u krvnom razmazu periferne krvi bojenom po Giemsi. Bolest je potvrđena kod 86,76 % suspektnih životinja. B.canis je ustanovljena u 70,74% a B.gibsoni u 15,85%. U istom periodu, krpelji su prikupljeni sa 67 pasa. Na osnovu toga je zaključeno da je dominantna infestacija pasa bila sa I. ricinus u 54,4 %, potom sa Rhipicephalus sanguineus 33,05%, Dermacentor marginatus 14,35% i sa Dermacentor reticulatus u 4,41%. Takođe je rađen i pregled krpelja radi utvrđivanja stepena inficiranosti. To smo radili nalazom morula babezia iz pljuvačnih žlezdi krpelja i babesia iz krvi koje je ingestirao krpelj koje su detektovane pregledom abdominalnog sadržaja nasisanog krpelja, koji se nanosio u vidu tankog namaza na mikroskopsku pločicu, fiksirao metil alkohoholom i bojio po Giemsi. Pregledom vektorskih vrsta krpelja za babeziozu ona je ustanovljena kod 51,10% R.sanguieneus, 42,40%, D. reticulatus i 16,70% D. marginatus. Klimatske promene nastale u zadnjoj decenij uticale su da babezia izgubi svoj uobičajeni sezonski karakter tako da se sreće tokom cele godina ali ipak i dalje ostaje najv, Canine babesiosis is a protozoan disease caused by Babesia canis (subspecies of B. canis canis, B. canis vogeli and B. canis rossi that also parasitizes cats) and B. gibsoni. They are transmitted by the exodus ticks Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor marginatus and Dermacentor reticulates, so that the spread of the disease is directly correlated with the spread and dynamics of the population of these ticks. Deaths are possible in dogs of all ages, although in most cases the disease is acute, and infected animals acquire relative immunity. This disease has been expanding in the last ten years in the area of Belgrade. In the period 2019-220, a total of 227 dogs were examined with symptoms that indicated the presence of babesia. The suspicion of the disease was based on the clinical picture and the findings of ticks. The diagnosis was made by finding babesia in a Giemsa-stained peripheral blood smear. The disease was confirmed in 86.76% of suspected animals. B. canis was found in 70.74% and B. gibsoni in 15.85%. In the same period, ticks were collected from 67 dogs. Based on this, it was concluded that the dominant infestation of dogs was with I. ricinus in 54.40%, followed by Rhipicephalus sanguineus 33.05%, Dermacentor marginatus 14.35% and Dermacentor reticulatus in 4.41%. A tick test was also performed to determine the degree of infection. We did this by finding morphology of babesia from the salivary glands of ticks and babesia from blood ingested by ticks, which were detected by examining the abdominal contents of the saturated tick, which was applied as a thin smear on a microscope plate, fixed with methyl alcohol and stained with Giemsa. Examination of vector tick species for babesiosis revealed it in 51.10% of R. sanguieneus, 42.40%, D. reticulatus and 16.70% of D. marginatus. Displacement time series (TS) provides temporal and spatial information related to ground defor- mation. This study aims to investigate temporal behavior of ground deformation TS, including classification of displacement trends and periodicity evaluation, which ease the interpretation of movements. To this end, we propose several modifications to an existing automatic classification workflow of Persistent Scatterers Interferometry (PSI) TS using new tests to classify ground deformations into seven main trends: Stable, Linear, Quadratic, Bilinear, Phase Unwrapping Errors (PUE), Discontinuous with constant and different velocities. We illustrate our approach over 1500 km2 of the Granada region and the metropolitan area of Barcelona, which were monitored using Sentinel-1 images and a PSI technique. This study provided the spatial distribution of different ground movement types and was useful to detect several TS anomalies due to PUE. The proposed approach also identified stable targets, which were wrongly classified as moving scatterers by the existing classification method. A periodicity analysis was finally performed using the Welch’s power spectral density estimator to investigate seasonal and yearly fluctuations. The method was vali- dated using simulated data, where the classified TSs characterized by probable phase unwrapping errors were verified by PSI experts. The overall classification accuracy was 77.8%, indicating that the proposed method has a considerable TS classification potential., The work of S. Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) monitors surface change and displacement over a large area with millimeter-level precision and meter-level resolution. Anar fault, with a length of ~200 km, is located in central Iran. Recent seismological studies on the fault indicated that it is approaching the end of its seismic cycle. Although a large earthquake is imminent, the mechanism of the fault is not well understood. Therefore, understanding and discovering the mechanism of Anar fault remains a challenge. Here, we present an approach of displacement fault analysis utilizing a combination of InSAR data obtained from the persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI) method and 178 Sentinel-1 images (ascending and descending) (2017–2020). We incorporated groundwater samples from 40 wells, radon concentration anomaly mapping, Global Positioning System (GPS), and 3D displacement measurement acquired over four years (2016–2020). We investigated and monitored the deformation of the fault plate’s behavior over the last three years (2017–2020) to explore new evidence and signature of displacement. The results show that the time series analysis in the fault range has an increasing displacement rate in all dimensions. We observed that the line-of-sight (LOS) displacement rate varied from −15 mm to 5 mm per year. Our calculations show that the E–W, N–S, and vertical displacement rates of the fault blocks are 2 mm to −2 mm, 6 mm to −6 mm, and 2 mm to −4 mm per year, respectively. An anomaly map of the radon concentration shows that the complete alignment of the high concentration ranges with the fault strike and the radon concentration increased on average from 23.85 Bq/L to 25.30 Bq/L over these three years. Therefore, we predict rising the radon concentration is due to the increase in activity which resulted in a deformation. Kada psi ili mačaka dobiju napade (seizures), uglavnom se pomisli na epileptičke napade i epilepsiju, međutim, diferencijalno-diagnostički važno je uzeti u obzir postojanje napada koji liče na epileptičke napade, ali ne pripadaju epileptičkim napadima (neepileptički napadi). Neepileptički napadi se javljaju iznenada, kratko traju, nestaju brzo kao što su i nastali, ponavijaju se nemaju epileptičku etiologiju i mogu biti neneurološkog i neuroločkog porekla. Za razliku od neepileptičkih napada, epileptički napadi imaju specifično nervno poreklo i predstavljaju neumerenu, sinhronu, obično samoograničavajuća epileptičku aktivnost neurona mozga. Epileptičke napade treba razlikovati od reaktivnih napada jer se reaktivni napadi javljaju kao prirodan odgovor zdravog mozga na prolazne poremećaje (metaboličke ili toksične prirode) i oni nestaju nakon prestanka delovanja uzroka. Apsolutna potvrda da je u pitanju epileptički napad može biti teška zato što zahteva istovremeno vizuelizaciju napada i registraciju promena na EEG-u. U praksi, sumnja da su u pitanju epileptički napadi postavlja se na osnovu informacija iz istorije bolesti i video zapisa. U postavljanju diferencijalne dijagnoze kod pojave napada potrebno je uzeti u obzir starosnu kategoriju obolelih životinja, postojanje drugih kliničkih znakova osim napada, postojanje ili odsustvo progresije bolesti, video zapis, rezultate pregleda krvne slike i biohemijskih parametara krvi, rezultate pregleda CST-a, kao i rendgenske, MRI ili CT nalaze. Prvi korak u postavljanju dijagnoze je utvrđivanje da li je lezija koja dovodi do pojave napada lokalizovana ekstrakranijalno ili intrakranijalno. Ukoliko je lezija lokalizovana ekstrakranijalno treba utvrditi da li problem potiče van tela (trovanja ksilitolom, organofosfatima, čokoladom) ili iz tela (hipotireoidizam, hipokalcemija, oboljenja bubrega, itd.). Ukoliko je proces lokalizovan intrakranijalno, treba utvrditi da li je proces progresivan (tumor, inflamacije, hidrocefalus itd.

Visokoplaninska i planinska oblast Republike Srbije, predstavlja jedan od 6 centara Evropskog biodiverziteta i jedan od 153 svetska centra. Srbiju karakteriše velika, ne samo genetička i specijska, već i ekosistemska raznovrsnost. Genetički resursi Srbije su veoma raznovrsni i bogati i to kako biljni, tako i animalni. U radu su analizirani međunarodni dokumenti, konvencije i organizacije nadležne za zaštitu i očuvanje biljnih genetičkih resursa. Analizirani su I i II Izveštaj FAO i I i II Akcioni plan FAO za biljne genetičke resurse. Razmatrane su aktivnosti Evropskih i regionalnih organizacija kao što su EURISCO (Evropska baza podataka za biljne genetičke resurse) i SEEDNet (regionalni program za očuvanje i korišćenje biljnih genetičkih resursa) i učešće Srbije u ovim organizacijama i programima. Prikazani su podaci o najvećim bankama biljnih gena u svetu, a posebno je analizirana međunarodna Svalbard banka biljnih gena. Analizirano je stanje biljnih genetičkih resursa u Srbiji, starih, autohtonih i novostvorenih sorti biljaka. Poseban akcenat je stavljen na Banku biljnih gena Srbije, njen razvojni put i sadašnje stanje kolekcija koje se nalaze u njoj. Navedene su naučne institucije (fakulteti i instituti) koji se bave proučavanjem, kolekcionisanjem, oplemenjivanjem, proizvodnjom i čuvanjem pojedinih biljnih genetičkih resursa. U radu je pojedinačno analizirano stanje populacija, starih i autohtonih sorti i oplemenjenih sorti žitarica i kukuruza, krmnog bilja, industrijskih biljaka, povrća, lekovitih biljaka, voća i vinove loze. Prikazan je diverzitet i načini čuvanja (in situ, on farm i ex situ) najvažnijih sorti, sa posebnim osvrtom na kolekcije koje su čuvaju u Banci biljnih gena Srbije. Obrađeno je posebno stanje šumskih ekosistema Srbije i diverzitet dendroflore i njihovih zajednica. In response to concerns over the translocation of P from soils to P-sensitive water bodies, there is high demand for developing simple indicators for evaluating a soil’s risk of releasing P into solution. Many studies have shown that the degree of soil phosphorus saturation (DPS), calculated as the ratio of soil P concentration to soil P sorption capacity (PSC), is good predictor of a soil’s risk of releasing P in solution. In this study we compared four different DPS indices in how well they predicted dissolved P following extraction with either a 0.01 M CaCl2 (PCaCl2) solution or deionized water (PW). The first two indices were calculated from the ratio of extractable P to extractable Al and Fe using either acid ammonium oxalate (AlOX + FeOX) or ammonium lactate solutions (AlAL + FeAL). The second two DPS indices were calculated from the ratio of either Olsen-extractable P or AL-extractable P with sorption capacity estimated from the single point P sorption index (PSI). On a subset of 11 soils, we compared the different methods for estimating PSC with fitted Langmuir sorption maximum (Smax) using data from complete sorption isotherms. Both (AlOX + FeOX) and PSI were well correlated with Smax and hence regarded as good estimates for P sorption capacity. Conversely, (AlAL + FeAL) was not significantly correlated with Smax. P saturation calculated from PSI together with PAL or POls predicted PCaCl2 and PW best, whereas P saturation calculated from ammonium oxalate predicted PCaCl2 and PW the least. We did not find notable improvements in the regression models when we added a second explanatory variable (clay content, pH or total carbon) to the models. Our results show that multiple measures of P saturation provide similar predictions of a soiĺs potential for releasing dissolved P into soil solution. This provides flexibility in how P saturation indices are calculated to identify leaching prone hotspots.

The absence of a PMS could lead to inadequate decision-making, a disorganized road inventory, poor selection in road maintenance techniques and inefficient technical support to justify the execution of maintenance activities. For these reasons, this research proposes the application of a PMS, with the objective of improving and standardizing the processes for evaluating the condition of roads that are under the jurisdiction of low-budget government organizations, guaranteeing the selection of the most appropriate type of maintenance. As a case of study, a 1.1 km local road located in one of the districts of Lima was evaluated, which was divided into 11 sections. With this evaluation, it was obtained that 2,605.43 m2 of the total road is in poor condition, due to the presence of functional failures. For the identification of failures, the pavement condition index (PCI), the international roughness index (IRI) and the present serviceability index (PSI) were used to determine the condition, roughness and serviceability of the pavement. In conclusion, it was identified that the proposed PMS is adequately adapted to the way of working and available budget of a local administration, since if it is applied it would only spend 20.55% of the fund that would be destined to a total reconstruction of road.

The Tehran basin has been increasingly affected by subsidence during the last few decades due to groundwater withdrawal. Hence, the study of the strength of the power towers (PTs) of transmission lines, as vital structures, is an important subject. In this paper, the persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI) method was applied on data stacks from two satellites (i.e., X-band COSMO-SkyMed (CSK) and C-band Sentinel-1A (S-1A)) obtained between 2014 and 2016 to investigate the deformation and the exact amount of displacement in each PT of the area of interest. Based on the results, during the same time interval (between October 2014 and February 2016), the vertical velocities calculated using CSK and S-1A were about −86 and −79 mm/y, respectively. Although the CSK data analysis resulted in a better displacement interpretation of PTs, due to its high resolution and shorter wavelength, the S-1 data analysis also demonstrated sufficient persistent scatterer (PS) points. The research proves that most of the PTs along a transmission line are affected by high land subsidence, which puts them in a serious jeopardy. They must be constantly monitored to ensure their safety and accurate operation. The results are in complete agreement with information of the existing global positioning system (GPS) station in our study area and also the observations of two piezometric wells with declining trends in the groundwater reservoir, which has the greatest effect on the subsidence rate in this area. Broj onkoloških slučajeva ima višegodišnji trend rasta, kako kod ljudi, tako i kod životinja, pre svega pasa. Prevencija ili dijagnostika neoplazmi u ranoj fazi bolesti u velikoj meri zavise od histološkog pre- gleda uzorka i obično su jedan od početnih koraka u postavljanju di- jagnoze. Postavljanje tačne dijagnoze, prema savremenim kriterijumi- ma za histopatološku dijagnostiku, predstavlja osnovni preduslov za sprovođenje adekvatnih terapijskih protokola, proširenje i unapređe- nje mogućnosti lečenja onkoloških pacijenata i produžavanje njiho- vog života. Histopatološka dijagnoza, pored klasifikacije i određivanja gradusa tumora, pruža kliničarima i informacije o tome da li je eksci- zija bila adekvatna, da li su margine slobodne od tumorskih ćelija, da li je tumor infiltrovao okolno tkivo i da li je započeo metastazu prodi- ranjem u krvne i/ili limfne sudove, kao i da li postoje metastaze u ko- respondentnim limfnim čvorovima, ukoliko su i oni promenjeni. Važan preduslov za postavljanje pouzdane histopatološke dijagnoze je uzor- kovanje neoplastičnog tkiva, njegovo fiksiranje i transport do laborato- rije i jasno popunjena prateća dokumentacija. Odabir tkivnog uzorka sa neadekvatne lokacije, uzorkovanje suviše velikog ili suviše malog uzorka, greške u izboru fiksativa i procesu fiksiranja, kao i nepravilno popunjen uput za ispitivanje, mogu u velikoj meri da utiču na obradu tkiva, kvalitet preparata i dobijene rezultate. Greške načinjene tokom uzorkovanja tkiva najčešće dovode do trajnih posledica i u kasnijim fa- zama obrade i naknadno teško mogu da budu otklonjene.

Epilepsija je najčešći hronični neurološki poremećaj koji se sreće u praksi malih životinja, a kod najvećeg broja obolelih pasa je dijagno- stikovana idiopatska epilepsija (IE). Antiepileptični lekovi predstavljaju osnovu terapije idiopatske epilepsije pasa, a lečenje je često doživot- no. Međutim, kod oko 30% pasa sa IE, nema adekvatnog odgovora na terapiju. Osim toga, može doći do neželjenih efekata terapije ko- ji su povezani sa lekovima što u krajnjem slučaju dovodi do pogorša- nja kvaliteta života obolelih jedinki. Iz navedenih razloga su sprove- dena brojna istraživanja sa ciljem iznalaženja alternativnih pristupa u terapiji IE pasa. Za sada se u kliničkoj praksi, u tom smislu, najviše primenjuje odgovarajući način ishrane u vidu ketogene dijete koja se pokazala efikasnom kod ljudi sa epilepsijom i dodavanje odgovara- jućih suplemenata u ishrani. Pored toga, kanabidiol ulje se pokazalo korisnim kako kod ljudi tako i kod pasa, a u literaturi postoje izvešta- ji koji potvrđuju i efikasnost akupunkture. Što se tiče homeopatskog pristupa terapiji idiopatske epilepsije pasa, u literaturi nema podataka o sprovedenim kontrolisanim istraživanjima, niti potvrde uspeha ova- kvim pristupom terapiji. Hirurški pristup u terapiji takozvanih rezisten- tnih epilepsija još uvek je u povoju u veterinarskoj medicini i za sada je na nivou kliničkih ispitivanja.

Changes in subsurface water resources might alter the surrounding ground by generating subsidence or uplift, depending on geological and hydrogeological site characteristics. Improved understanding of the relationships between surface water storage and ground deformation is important for design and maintenance of hydraulic facilities and ground stability. Here, we construct one of the longest series of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) to date, over twenty-five years, to study the relationships between water level changes and ground surface deformation in the surroundings of Lake Mead, United States, and at the site of the Hoover Dam. We use the Small Baseline Subset (SBAS) and Permanent scatterer interferometry (PSI) techniques over 177 SAR data, encompassing different SAR sensors including ERS1/2, Envisat, ALOS (PALSAR), and Sentinel-1(S1). We perform a cross-sensor examination of the relationship between water level changes and ground displacement. We found a negative relationship between water level change and ground deformation around the reservoir that was consistent across all sensors. The negative relationship was evident from the long-term changes in water level and deformation occurring from 1995 to 2014, and also from the intra-annual oscillations of the later period, 2014 to 2019, both around the reservoir and at the dam. These results suggest an elastic response of the ground surface to changes in water storage in the reservoir, both at the dam site and around the reservoir. Our study illustrates how InSAR-derived ground deformations can be consistent in time across sensors, showing the potential of detecting longer time-series of ground deformation.

Any changes to the Earth’s surface should be monitored in order to maintain and update the spatial reference system. To establish a global model of ground movements for a large area, it is important to have consistent and reliable measurements. However, in dealing with mass data, outliers may occur and robust analysis of data is indispensable. In particular, this paper will analyse Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data for detecting the regional ground movements (RGM) in the area of Hanover, Germany. The relevant data sets have been provided by the Federal Institute for Geo-sciences and Natural Resources (BGR) for the period of 2014 to 2018. In this paper, we propose a data adoptive outlier detection algorithm to preprocess the observations. The algorithm is tested with different reference data sets and as a binary classifier performs with 0.99 accuracy and obtains a 0.95 F1-score in detecting the outliers. The RGMs that are observed as height velocities are mathematically modeled as a surface based on a hierarchical B-splines (HB-splines) method. For the approximated surface, a 95% confidence interval is estimated based on a bootstrapping approach. In the end, the user is enabled to predict RGM at any point and is provided with a measure of quality for the prediction.

The use of electroencephalography (EEG) monitors to assess the level of hypnosis is standard practice in anesthesiology. The monitors are based on an electroencephalographic record obtained by a sensor that it’s place on the patient's forehead. These signals are recorded by a machine and reflects by an index the degree of unconsciousness. Anaesthetists generally pay attention only to the Patient State Index (PSI) calculated by EEG monitors. Sometimes the PSI index does not correspond to the clinical context of the patient. For this reason, we consider that it is necessary to know some basic aspects of electroencephalography., La monitorización electroencefalográfica intraoperatoria de la profundidad anestésica es una práctica habitual en anestesiología. Los sistemas de monitorización no invasivos se fundamentan en un registro electroencefalográfico obtenido por un sensor que se coloca en la frente del paciente. Two experiments involving an international collaboration ofexperimenters sought to replicate and extend a previously publishedpsi experiment on precognition by Daryl Bem that has been the focusof extensive research. The experiment reverses the usual cause–e! ectsequence of a standard psychology experiment using priming and reactiontimes. The preregistered con" rmatory hypothesis is that response timesto incongruent stimuli will be longer than response times to congruentstimuli even though the prime has not yet appeared when the participantrecords their judgments. The con" rmatory hypothesis for Experiment 1was not supported. Exploratory analyses indicated that those participantswho completed the English-language version rather than a translationshowed a signi" cant e! ect, as was the case in the original study; nosigni" cant departure from chance was found in data involving non-English translations. Experiment 2 sought to enhance the predicted e! ectby having each participant read either a pro-psi or an anti-psi statementat the beginning of the experiment to test the hypothesis that a pro-psistatement would produce a larger e! ect than an anti-psi statement. Theresults did not support the primary psi hypothesis and there was no e! ectin the English-language sample. However, there was mixed support forthe e! ect of the psi statement on performance; those participants whoreceived the pro-psi statement had a greater psi score than those whoreceived the anti-psi statement. As in the original experiment, neitherthe experimenters’ nor participants’ beliefs were consistently associatedwith the dependent measure. In sum, the pre-registered con" rmatoryhypotheses were not supported. Glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs) are outbursts caused by the failure of glacial lake moraine dams. Longer ongoing processes, such as moraine dam degradation, or instantaneous events, such as landslides, can trigger dam failure. GLOFs have a catastrophic downstream impact leading to significant economic damages and more than 12000 casualties worldwide until 2015, with Bhutan and Nepal being impacted the most. Climate change causes increasing temperature and precipitation, leading to the expansion of glacial lakes and the destabilisation of glaciers, slopes and moraine dams. Consequently, GLOFs are likely to become more frequent, and glacial lakes require continuous monitoring and analysis to understand and predict GLOF-related hazards. Since glacial lakes often lie in inaccessible mountainous regions, on-site monitoring is challenging and remote sensing proposes a safe and cost-effective solution. Satellite radar is unaffected by nighttime and clouds, enabling continuous displacement measurements. Interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) using Sentinel-1 data from 2014 to 2021 was applied at six Himalayan glacial lake areas (Imja, Lunana, Barun, Rolpa, Thulagi and Lumding) to identify potential GLOF hazards and to investigate InSAR's capability as a monitoring tool. Optical, meteorological and topographical data were used to aid in interpreting the InSAR observations; linking displacements to potential hazards and evaluating the limitations of an InSAR-based analysis. Significant deformation was detected at the terminal moraines of Imja, Thulagi, Rolpa, Lunana and Barun Lakes; on lateral moraines at Rolpa and Lunana Lakes; and on rock glaciers at Imja, Rolpa, Barun and Lunana Lakes. In addition, significant seasonal variation could be distinguished, showing the impact of temperature and precipitation on geomorphological processes and potential hazard developments at glacial lakes. Introduction. In order to provide the most favorable conditions for bone healing following implant loading, new techniques such as the use of growth factors to directly or indirectly regulate cell and tissue growth are becoming increasingly popular. Simplicity in producing concentrated thrombocytes derived from platelet-rich plasma has led to increasing application of growth factors derived from thrombocytes, such as PDGF, TGF-β, IGF and VEGF, in order to increase the percentage of bone-to-implant contact that provides better implant stability and possibly earlier functional loading. The aim of the study was to determine the effects of platelet-rich plasma and guided tissue regeneration on bone regeneration in the case of bone defects in early dental implant insertion. Materials and Methods. This experimental study was conducted on 10 study dogs that received 40 BCT implants, i.e., 4 implants per dog. The study included early dental implant placement in the sites of the extracted premolars. Artificial bone defects, resembling peri-implantitis defects, were made on the mesial side of each site, and the defects were filled using suitable guided tissue regeneration protocols with platelet-rich plasma derived from each experimental animal an hour before surgery. Histopathologic and histomorphometric evaluations were performed 10 months following the implantation. Results and Conclusion. The applied protocols had different effects on bone healing. According to the results obtained, the use of platelet-rich plasma combined with deproteinized bovine bone and bovine-derived resorptive membrane provided superior bone defect ossification., Uvod. Potreba da se stvore što bolji uslovi za koštano zarastanje nakon ugradnje implantata poslednjih par godina uticala je na primenu faktora rasta koji direktno ili indirektno regulišu rast ćelija i tkiva. Jednostavnost dobijanja koncentrovanih trombocita izdvojenih iz plazme bogate trombocitima, dovela je do sve šire primene faktora rasta poreklom iz trombocita poput PDGF, TGF-β, IGF, VEGF i mnogih drugih, sa ciljem postizanja što većeg procenta kontakta površine implantata sa kosti, što obezbeđuje povećanu stabilnost implantata i brže funkcionalno opterećenje. Cilj rada bio je da se ispita uticaj plazme bogate trombocitima i vođene tkivne regeneracije tkiva u koštanim defektima kod rane ugradnje dentalnih impantata na koštanu regeneraciju. Materijal i metode. Eksperimentalna studija sprovedena je na 10 eksperimentalnih pasa kod kojih je ugrađeno 40 BCT implantata i to po četri svakom. Eksperiment se sastojao od rane ugradnje umplantate na mestima izvađenih premolara. Veštački koštani defekti, nalik periimplantatnim defektima, napravljeni su na mezijalnoj strani svake preparacije. Ti defekti su popunjeni prateći odgovarajuće postupke vodjene tkivne regeneracije, uz korišćenje plazme bogate trombocitima, dobijene iz krvi eksperimentalnih životinja sat vremena pre intervencije. Histopatološke i histomorfometrijske analize rađene su 10 meseci nakon ugradnje implantata. Rezultati i zaključak. Primenjeni protokoli različito utiču na ispunjenost koštanih defekata i koštano zarastanje. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata došli smo do zaključka da je osifikacija koštanih defekata najveća u protokolu prema kome se primenjuje plazma bogata trombocitima u kombinaciji sa bovinom deproteinizovanom kosti i resorptivnom membranom bovinog porekla.

Haematologic abnormalities possibly associated with exposure to vector-borne pathogens are rarely reported in clinically healthy outdoor dogs. Therefore, we analysed changes in the complete blood count (CBC) of clinically healthy outdoor dogs seroreactive to Anaplasma spp. and Babesia spp., with or without microfilariosis. Stray, shelter and hunting dogs, 81 in total, that were polymerase chain reaction negative for Anaplasma spp. and Babesia spp. were divided into groups according to their seroreactive status and results of a modified Knott’s test: seronegative to both Anaplasma spp. and Babesia spp. SN (N=26); seroreactive to A. phagocythophilum SR-A (N=12); seroreactive to B. canis, B. gibsoni and/or B. vogeli SR-B (N=25); and seroreactive to both of the pathogens SR-AB (N=8). These four groups were negative to microfilariosis, unlike the fifth group, seroreactive to either or to both of the pathogens and with microfilariosis SR-M (N=10). The frequencies of CBC alterations among all analysed dogs were: 0.35 – leucocytosis, 0.44 – granulocytosis, 0.28 – anaemia, 0.74 – microcytosis, 0.37 – increased mean cell haemoglobin concentration (MCHC) and 0.33 – thrombocytopenia. The frequency of alterations did not differ across the groups. An exception was the SR-M group wherein increased MCHC peaked with a frequency of 0.80, while in the other four groups, the frequency ranged between 0.10 and 0.50. Clinically healthy outdoor dogs have multiple CBC abnormalities, consistent with stress and low-level chronic inflammation, but not associated with a previous exposure to Anaplasma spp. or Babesia spp. The presence of microfilaria increases haemolysis in vitro., Klinički zdravi psi koji borave na otvorenom i koji su izloženi patogenima koje prenose vektori mogu imati hematološke premećaje vezane za dejstvo tih patogena. Zaključak je da ispitivani psi imaju višestruke poremećaje krvne slike koji najverovatnije odražavaju stres i nizak stepen hronične inflamacije, ali ne i vezu sa prethodnim kontaktom sa Anaplasma spp. i Babesia spp. Prisustvo mikrofilarija izaziva hemolizu in vitro.

Among different sets of constraints and hazards that have to be considered in the management of cities and land use, land surface subsidence is one of the important issues that can lead to many problems, and its economic consequences cannot be ignored. In this study, the ground surface deformation of Gavle city in Sweden is investigated using the Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) technique as well as analyzing the historical leveling data. The PSI technique is used to map the location of hazard zones and their ongoing subsidence rate. Two ascending and descending Sentinel-1 datasets, collected between January 2015 and May 2020, covering the Gavle city, were processed and analyzed. In addition, a long record of a leveling dataset, covering the period from 1974 to 2019, was used to detect the rate of subsidence in some locations which were not reported before. Our PSI analysis reveals that the center of Gavle is relatively stable with minor deformation ranged between -2 +/- 0.5 mm/yr to +2 +/- 0.5 mm/yr in vertical and east-west components. However, the land surface toward the northeast of the city is relatively subsiding with a higher annual rate of up to -6 +/- 0.46 mm/yr. The comparison at sparse locations shows a close agreement between the subsidence rates obtained from precise leveling and PSI results. The regional quaternary deposits map was overlaid with PSI results and it shows the subsidence areas are mostly located in zones where the subsurface layer is marked by artificial fill materials. The knowledge of the spatio-temporal extents of land surface subsidence for undergoing urban areas can help to develop and establish models to mitigate hazards associated with such land settlement., QC 20201019

Land subsidence and its subsequent hazardous effects on buildings and urban infrastructure areimportant issues in many cities around the world. The city of Uppsala in Sweden is undergoing significant subsidence in areas that are located on clay. Underlying clay units in parts of Uppsalaact as mechanically weak layers, which for instance, cause sinking of the ground surface and tilting buildings. In this study, a Persistent Scatterer InSAR (PSI) analysis was performed to map theongoing ground deformation in Uppsala. The subsidence rate measured with PSI was validatedwith precise leveling data at different locations. BackgroundMany parents develop stress-related symptoms and depression when their preterm infant is hospitalised in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) after birth. We reviewed the evidence of parent well-being with preterm infants hospitalised in single family rooms (SFRs) or in open bay neonatal units (OBUs).MethodsFor this systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Web of Science, Clinicaltrials.gov, and International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP) databases from inception through 22 November 2019 using controlled terms and text words related to prematurity and NICU-design. We included randomised and non-randomised studies comparing outcomes in parents with preterm infants admitted to SFRs or OBUs. Methodological quality was assessed using Cochrane Collaboration's Risk of Bias Tool for randomised controlled trials and the Risk of Bias Tool for Non-Randomised Studies of Interventions (ROBINS-I). Outcomes included: parental stress, satisfaction, participation (presence/involvement/skin-to-skin care), self-efficacy, parent-infant-bonding, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, empowerment, and degree of family-centred care. Summary estimates were calculated using random effects models with standardised mean differences (SMDs). PROSPERO registration: CRD42016050643.FindingsWe identified 614 unique publications. Eleven study populations (1, 850 preterm infants, 1, 549 mothers and 379 fathers) were included. All but one study were at serious to critical risk of bias. In order to increase PS density, we can apply Super-Resolution reprocessing algorithms in PSI. Involving the reprocessing algorithms and the peak-detection-based Persistent Scatterer Candidate points (PSCs) selection method, the full PSI chain is referred to as Super-Resolution PSI (SR-PSI). The implementation of the Super-Resolution reprocessing algorithm, however, is computationally intensive, which makes SR-PSI time-consuming. In this work, we propose to improve the efficiency by constraining the Capon-based reprocessing to the non-homogeneous areas (e.g., urban areas). We notice that the Capon algorithm performs similarly as the Fourier-based algorithm for homogeneous regions (e.g., grassland), thus we can use Single Look Complex (SLC) images for these areas. With the Coefficient of Variation (CV) as the index, we divide the full image into two classes: homogeneous areas, for which we select PSCs from the original stack, and non-homogeneous areas, for which we extract PSCs from the Capon-based reprocessed images. Then we combine the PSCs of both cases for further PSI processing. We applied the combination method to a stack of TerraSAR-X data. The results show that the proposed approach is more computationally efficient than the original SR-PSI with the effectiveness uncompromised, especially for applications aiming at the urban deformation., Mathematical Geodesy and Positioning

In this study an analysis of the efficacy of using satellite data, in the form of InSAR measurements, as an extension of the volcanic monitoring network on Saba and St. Eustatius is performed. For this research, data from three different satellites that operate at three different wavelengths are available: ALOS-2 (L-band SAR), Sentinel-1 (C-band SAR) and PAZ (X-band SAR). The data are analysed through the formation of interferograms that are obtained using the Delft Object-oriented Radar Interferometric Software (DORIS) and Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) performed following the Delft Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (DePSI) algorithm. The interferograms and PSI results differ strongly per satellite and are affected by the combined impact of several factors. In this study the impact of the misalignment of the master image used in the generation of the interferograms with respect to the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is discussed, as well as the impact of the incidence angle, the spatial resolution, the temporal resolution, the perpendicular baseline, the number of available images and the wavelength. The interferograms of ALOS-2 are of a good quality, however the low temporal resolution makes studying fast surface deformation difficult. However, they could be used to study surface changes in retrospect or to study slower processes, such as the pressurisation of a magma chamber, causing gradual surface deformation. The low spatial resolution makes the interferograms of Sentinel-1 difficult to interpret and the interferograms for the PAZ data currently show too large amounts of decorrelation to study surface deformations. The PSI analysis produces reliable results for Sentinel-1. The estimated linear deformation for the Persistent Scatterers (PS) shows constant values over both islands, which are centred around 0 mm/y and have low standard deviations. The research and improvement of methods to be used for deformation measurements from space is a challenge. From the previous 20 years, time series Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) interferometry techniques have proved for their ability to provide millimeter-scale deformation measurements over time. This paper aims to provide a review of such techniques developed in the last twenty years. We first recall the background of interferometric SAR (InSAR). We then provide an overview of the InSAR time series methods developed in the literature, describing their principles and advancements. Finally, we highlight challenges and future perspectives of the InSAR in the Big Data era., Mathematical Geodesy and Positioning
