Background. Indigenous mothers in Canada experience disproportionate adversity related to mental health with increased risk of anxiety and depression (Black et al., 2019; Owais et al., 2020). The mental health disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous mothers reveals the need to provide mental health support services that are culturally aligned and meet the specific needs of this community. A subset of Indigenous identifying individuals who participated in a family mental health program for mothers of young children were contacted and invited to participate in an individual interview to share their experiences and provide their perspectives on mental health support service seeking. Research Objective and Questions. The aim of this study was to build knowledge surrounding the experiences of Indigenous mothers with mental health support service seeking and participation to inform improvements in mental health programming. This objective was framed around two central research questions. 1. What are the experiences and motivations of Indigenous mothers seeking and participating in mental health programs starting in the perinatal period? 2. How can improvements be made to existing programs? Methods. The research team conducted seven virtual interviews with individual participants. Data was analyzed using a narrative and interpretive meaning making approach, situating results within social, cultural, kinship, and individual contexts. Results. Findings illustrated key storylines across sub-samples of Anishinaabe (n=3) and Métis (n=4) participants. Within the stories shared by participants across sub-samples, key recommendations for program improvement were made including offering weekly hybrid program sessions, integrating traditional teachings from Elders into program content, providing childcare for children of participants, implementing mandatory cultural sensitivity training for facilitators, offering free programming, and increasing opportunities for relationshi

Purpose: The study was design to evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of the internship period employing quantitative study descriptive survey approach. Theoretical framework: Internship is requirement of every student of radiology program of Radiological Sciences patch for the award of bachelor's degree at Najran University, Saudi Arabia. The competency level would demonstrate influence the sufficiency and efficiency of clinical training during internship period which represent six months after completing nine levels of radiology program. Design\Methodology\Approach: The survey was distributed to the tow levels of the last year of radiological sciences which composed of 81 male and female students which gathered seventy-seven (77) participants. Data collected through a questionnaire and summarized as percentages, frequencies, means and standard deviations using SPSS version 20.0. Findings: The study revealed un adequacy of the internship period and showed low efficiency due to its short duration. Research, Practical, Social Implication:The research construct and variables are identified the effectiveness and adequacy of the internship period.this study will be the modele of internship with a new qualitative change related to a period of time acceptable to students, similar to other universities. Originality/Value: The originality and value in this study are the framework conceptance and questionnaire that prepared and proved for evaluating the effectiveness and adequacy of the internship period for student of radiology program. Conclusion: In general internship period must be efficient and adequate to enhance sufficiency and efficiency experience by intern trainees.

This chapter provides an overview on the contemporary philosophical debate about equality of educational opportunity. It first develops a reconstruction of the major conceptions of equality of educational opportunity that contemporary educational philosophers and theorists have developed to flesh out the idea of educational equality of opportunity. These include, most importantly, liberal egalitarian or fairness based as well as socialist or luck-egalitarian conceptions of equality of educational opportunity. Second, the chapter lays out three influential critiques of equality of educational opportunity: the violation of parental liberty, the leveling down, and the misapplication of responsibility objections. On this basis, third, this chapter discusses alternative conceptions such as democratic educational adequacy or education as the development of social freedom that are meant to either complement or substitute equality of educational opportunity.

BACKGROUND // We know the importance of hand hygiene in the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. However, its compliance is still a challenge. Moreover, when it is complied with, as in the case of preoperative hygiene, there are few studies on the proper performance of the technique. The aim of this paper is to assess adequacy of pre-surgical hand hygiene in operating room staff of different surgical specialities at a university teaching hospital in Madrid. METHODS // A cross-sectional study was made. Adequacy of pre-surgical hand hygiene was assessed in operating room staff of the different specialities and professional categories by direct covert observation. It was evaluated in 852 opportunities during the months of October, November and December 2020. A specific form was designed for data collection, following the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO). Adequacy was described with frequency distributions of the different groups observed. Whether Chi-square or Fisher’s exact tests were used to compare the different categories. RESULTS // Pre-surgical hand hygiene opportunities were evaluated, 75.5% in surgeons and 24.5% in nurses. Overall compliance with pre-surgical hand hygiene technique was 80.5 % (686). The most frequent surgical service evaluated was General Surgery with 240 observations. The professional category with the best adequacy was nursing (86.1%) and the surgical service one was Traumatology (90.2%). An stopwatch was used by some 25.8% of the evaluated professionals, with an adequate hygiene time of 96,8% (p<0,05) for that group. CONCLUSIONS // The overall adequacy of pre-surgical hand hygiene in the operating room professionals is high. Significant statistically differences in adequacy are found between professional categories and surgical specialities, with better compliance in nursing staff and in Traumatology. Better results are achieved by the use of an stopwatch., FUNDAMENTOS // Sabemos la importancia que tiene la higiene de manos en la prevención de infecciones asociadas a la asistencia sanitaria. Sin embargo, a día de hoy, su cumplimiento, es un reto. Además, cuando se cumple, como es el caso de en la higiene prequirúrgica, pocos estudios hay sobre la adecuada realización de la técnica. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la adecuación de la higiene de manos prequirúrgica en profesionales de quirófano de un Hospital Universitario de Madrid. MÉTODOS // Se realizó un estudio descriptivo trasversal. Se evaluó la adecuación de la higiene de manos prequirúrgica mediante observación directa y enmascarada en 852 oportunidades durante los meses de octubre, noviembre y diciembre de 2020. Se consideró adecuada la higiene de manos si ésta se realizaba según la técnica correcta y durante el tiempo indicado. La adecuación de la higiene de manos se describió con la distribución de frecuencias y las diferencias entre categorías se compararon con la prueba x2 de Pearson o prueba exacta de Fisher. RESULTADOS // Se evaluaron las oportunidades de higiene de manos prequirúrgica, el 75,5% en cirujanos y el 24,5% en personal de enfermería. La adecuación global de la higiene de manos fue del 80,5%. La categoría profesional con mejor adecuación fue Enfermería (86,1%) (p<0,05) y el servicio quirúrgico con mejor adecuación fue Traumatología (90,2%) (p<0,05). Un 25,8% de los profesionales evaluados utilizó el apoyo del cronómetro, consiguiendo este grupo una adecuación al tiempo de higiene del 96,8% (p<0,05). CONCLUSIONES // La adecuación global de la higiene de manos prequirúrgica en nuestros profesionales es muy alta. Se encuentran diferencias estadísticamente significativas de cumplimiento entre categorías profesionales y especialidades quirúrgicas, siendo mejor la adecuación en el personal de Enfermería y en la especialidad de Traumatología. El apoyo del cronómetro consigue mejores resultados en la adecuación al tiempo de higiene.

This paper investigates and quantifies the consequences of ignoring power converter failures in the system-level design of microgrids. To achieve this goal, the process of converter-level reliability modeling, calculating the availability, and finally obtaining the system-level reliability indices are explained. A model-based and mission profile-based system-level design methodology has been used, which considers both reliability and cost. Further, the methodology has been implemented in a case study, once considering and once ignoring the power electronic failures. Accordingly, it has been shown that ignoring the converter failures can lead to an unreliable system-level design and jeopardizes its cost-effectiveness in the long run.

Home hemodialysis (HHD) with low-flow dialysate devices has gained popularity in recent years due to its simple design, portability, and ability to provide greater freedom of movement for our patients. However, there are doubts about the adequacy that this technology offers, since it uses monitors with low-flow bath and lactate. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the clinical benefits of low-flow HHD with the NxStage System One® recently introduced in Spain. We present the results of an observational, retrospective cohort study that included the first patients who started short daily HHD with this device in 12 Spanish centers. We analyzed the evolution of 86 patients at 0, 6 and 12 months, including data related to prescription, and evolution of biochemical parameters related to dialysis dose, anemia, mineral-bone metabolism; evolution of residual renal function, medication usage, and causes of withdrawal during the followup. We were able to demonstrate that this NxStage System One® monitor, in patients with HHD, have provided an adequate dialysis dose, with optimal ultrafiltration rate, with improvement of main biochemical markers of dialysis adequacy. The usage of this technique was associated to a decrease of antihypertensive drugs, phosphate binders and erythropoietin agents, with very good results both patient and technique survival. The simplicity of the technique, together with its good clinical outcomes, should facilitate the growth and utilization of HHD, both in incident and prevalent patients., La hemodiálisis domiciliaria (HDD) con monitores de bajo flujo de líquido de diálisis ha ganado popularidad en los últimos años gracias a su sencillez de diseño, portabilidad y capacidad de desplazamiento. No obstante, existen dudas respecto a la adecuación que este tipo de técnica ofrece, pues utiliza monitores con baño a flujos bajos y lactato. El objetivo de este estudio fue demostrar los beneficios clínicos de la HDD con el monitor NxStage System One® introducido recientemente en España. Presentamos los resultados de un estudio observacional, retrospectivo que incluyó de manera no seleccionada a los primeros pacientes con HDD corta mediante este monitor en 12 centros en España. Se analizó la evolución clínica de 86 pacientes a 0, 6 y 12 meses, incluyendo datos relacionados con la prescripción, evolución de parámetros analíticos de dosis de diálisis, anemia, metabolismo óseo-mineral, evolución de la diuresis residual, utilización de fármacos y datos relacionados con permanencia en la técnica, y causas de salida a lo largo del seguimiento. Pudimos demostrar que este monitor proporcionó una adecuada dosis de diálisis, con tasa óptima de ultrafiltración, con mejoría de los principales marcadores bioquímicos de adecuación en diálisis. El uso de esta técnica se asoció con una disminución de antihipertensivos, captores del fósforo y agentes eritropoyéticos, observándose, además, muy buenos resultados de supervivencia tanto del paciente como de la técnica. La sencillez de este monitor unida a sus buenos resultados clínicos debería facilitar el crecimiento y utilización de la HDD, tanto en pacientes incidentes como prevalentes.

Introduction: Nutrition plays an essential role in the recovery of critical illness. In the post-Intensive Care Unit (ICU) period, patients typically return to oral nutrition gradually. However, studies quantifying nutritional intake in the post-ICU hospitalization period are scarce and formal guidelines are lacking. This study aims to describe energy and protein intake in detail over the entire post-ICU hospitalization period and explore associations between protein intake and clinical outcomes. Methods: A prospective observational single-center cohort study was conducted amongst post-ICU patients in general wards after a minimum ICU-stay of 72 h and who received (par)enteral feeding for ≥24 h in the ICU. Oral intake was assessed daily using food order lines and digital photography of meal leftovers. Other data, including amounts of (par)enteral nutrition, were collected from electronic medical records. The primary outcome was to identify energy and protein intake, and reached targets, in the post-ICU period. In addition, length of hospital stay after ICU discharge, readmission and mortality rates were compared between patients meeting protein targets or not. Results: In total, 48 patients were included. Complete nutritional data of 34 patients were analyzed in the current study, adding up to a total number of 484 observational days, 1681 photos and 6634 food order lines. Inter-rater agreement was excellent (ICC 0.878). Overall mean energy and protein adequacy for all nutritional groups was 82.3% (SD 18.3) and 83.1% (SD 19.8). Only 51.2% of the study participants (n = 21) reached overall >90% of prescribed protein targets during their entire post-ICU ward stay. The lowest intake was seen in the patient group with exclusively oral intake (median protein adequacy 75.5%), whereas patients with (supplemental) enteral nutrition (EN) all met >90% of their protein targets. In the process of linguistic adaptation of migrants, it may happen that they find themselves in a context where the forms mostly used by their neighbours do not coincide with those used in the prestigious varieties. This is the case of the diminutive appreciative suffixes in Granada, where, as a peculiarity in the Hispanic world, three productive suffixes are used: ‑illo, -ito and -ico. We study the processes of accommodation in the use and learning of diminutives in five migrant groups. Two of them are Spanish-speaking: Ecuadorians and Equatoguineans, while the remaining three are not originally Spanish-speaking: Poles, Romanians and Moroccans. The results point to a rejection of the more local suffix (-ico) and alternation between -illo and -ito, but, unlike the people of Granada, -ito is the most frequently used suffix., En el proceso de adaptación lingüística de migrantes puede suceder que se encuentren en contextos donde las formas mayoritariamente empleadas por sus convecinos no coincidan con las empleadas en las variedades prestigiosas. Es el caso de los sufijos apreciativos diminutivos en Granada, donde, como peculiaridad en el mundo hispánico, se usan tres sufijos productivos: -illo, -ito e -ico. Estudiamos los procesos de acomodación en el uso y aprendizaje de los diminutivos en cinco grupos migrantes. Dos de ellos son hispanohablantes: ecuatorianos y ecuatoguineanos, mientras que los tres restantes no son hispanohablantes en su origen: polacos, rumanos y marroquíes. Los resultados apuntan al rechazo del sufijo más local (-ico) y la alternancia entre -illo e -ito, pero, a diferencia de los granadinos, es -ito el sufijo más empleado.

Статья посвящена уточнению содержания и принципов социально-интегративного подхода в университетском образовании, основанного на фундаментализации образования. Цель исследования – рассмотреть социально – интегративный подход как значимую идею в реализации университетского образования. Применялись следующие методы исследования: теоретический анализ междисциплинарной литературы, интерпретирование, синтез, обобщение и резюмирование. В результате была оформлена теоретическая основа интеграции и выделена совокупность таких принципов, как добровольность, адекватность, вариативность, интеграция и дифференциация, мотивация и стимулирование, с описанием содержащихся в них требований к эффективной реализации социально-интегративного подхода в реализации высшего университетского образования на современном этапе развития общества. Это представлено на обсуждение. В выводах даны причины неэффективной деятельности университетов: ведомственная ограниченность и межведомственная разобщенность; отсутствие единых организационно-методических подходов в реализации взаимодействия; отсутствие широкой и рационально организованной поддержки общественных инициатив, деятельности негосударственных организаций, что нарушает согласованность их действий, общее понимание целей и задач высшего образования., The article is devoted to clarifying the content and principles of socially-integrative approach in university education based on the fundamentalization of education. The purpose of the study is to consider the socio-integrative approach as a significant idea in the implementation of university education. The following research methods were used: theoretical analysis of interdisciplinary literature, interpretation, synthesis, generalization and summarization. As a result, the theoretical basis of integration was formalized, and a set of principles was identified: voluntariness, adequacy, variability, integration and differentiation, motivation and stimulation, with a description of the requirements contained in them for effective implementation of the socio-integrative approach in the implementation of higher university education at the present stage of society development. This is presented for discussion. The conclusions give the reasons for ineffective activity of universities: departmental limitations and interdepartmental disunity; lack of unified organizational and methodological approaches in the implementation of interaction; lack of wide and rationally organized support of public initiatives, activities of non-governmental organizations, which violates their coherence, common understanding of goals and objectives of higher education.

La hemodiálisis domiciliaria (HDD) con monitores de bajo flujo de líquido de diálisis ha ganado popularidad en los últimos años gracias a su sencillez de diseño, portabilidad y capacidad de desplazamiento. No obstante, existen dudas respecto a la adecuación que este tipo de técnica ofrece, pues utiliza monitores con baño a flujos bajos y lactato. El objetivo de este estudio fue demostrar los beneficios clínicos de la HDD con el monitor NxStage System One® introducido recientemente en España. Presentamos los resultados de un estudio observacional, retrospectivo que incluyó de manera no seleccionada a los primeros pacientes con HDD corta mediante este monitor en 12 centros en España. Se analizó la evolución clínica de 86 pacientes a 0, 6 y 12 meses, incluyendo datos relacionados con la prescripción, evolución de parámetros analíticos de dosis de diálisis, anemia, metabolismo óseo-mineral, evolución de la diuresis residual, utilización de fármacos y datos relacionados con permanencia en la técnica, y causas de salida a lo largo del seguimiento. Pudimos demostrar que este monitor proporcionó una adecuada dosis de diálisis, con tasa óptima de ultrafiltración, con mejoría de los principales marcadores bioquímicos de adecuación en diálisis. El uso de esta técnica se asoció con una disminución de antihipertensivos, captores del fósforo y agentes eritropoyéticos, observándose, además, muy buenos resultados de supervivencia tanto del paciente como de la técnica. La sencillez de este monitor unida a sus buenos resultados clínicos debería facilitar el crecimiento y utilización de la HDD, tanto en pacientes incidentes como prevalentes.

This article aims to incorporate the reliability model of power electronic converters into power system reliability analysis. The converter reliability has widely been explored in device- and converter-levels according to physics of failure analysis. However, optimal decision-making for design, planning, operation, and maintenance of power electronic converters require system-level reliability modeling of power electronic-based power systems. Therefore, this article proposes a procedure to evaluate the reliability of power electronic-based power systems from the device-level up to the system-level. Furthermore, the impact of converter failure rates including random chance and wear-out failures on power system performance in different applications such as wind turbine and electronic transmission lines is illustrated. Moreover, because of a high calculation burden raised by the physics of failure analysis for large-scale power electronic systems, this article explores the required accuracy for reliability modeling of converters in different applications. Numerical case studies are provided employing modified versions of the Roy Billinton Test System (RBTS). The analysis shows that the converter failures may affect the overall system performance depending on its application. Despite the increasing number of technologies and levels of educational technology provided by teacher education programmes, valid and high-level integration of technology into learning and teaching processes is not still as expected, like the Google classroom for learning. The study purposively investigated the adequacy of the Google classroom application as a teaching tool in the training of pre-service teachers by their educators. Three specific purposes and questions were raised. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. Pre-service teacher educators of the Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, constituted the target population. A simple random sampling procedure was adopted in the selection of 107 out of 197 Pre-service educators. A -14 item five-point-Likert scale researchers designed a questionnaire with psychometric properties of content validity of 0.90, and a reliability index of 0.81 was used to elicit the needed data from the respondents. The statistics collected were analysed using percentage, mean ranking and standard deviation. Moreover, the findings, among others, revealed that the Google classroom application is not adequate for training pre-service teachers. Thus, it was recommended that the Google classroom application should not be adopted in the teaching of pre-service teachers education programmes since it was found not adequate

Methodology/approach: The chosen research method was the bibliographic analysis of the theme through research through books, legislation and Academic Google, with the selection of publications such as articles and journals in the area. Originality/relevance: The discussion falls within the scope of Fundamental Rights and Civil Law, specifically, Personality Rights. The academic relevance lies in the LGPD's novelty in the Brazilian legal system. Results: As a result, it was possible to conclude for the fundamental role that good governance practices can play in the formation of a culture of personal data protection in these organizations. Theoretical/methodological contribution: The research identified the main impacts that the new system of protection of privacy and personal data will exert in relation to Third Sector entities., Objetivo do estudo: O objetivo do presente estudo é discorrer sobre a temática da Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (Lei nº 13.709/2019) e discutir sobre sua aplicabilidade e efeitos no âmbito do Terceiro Setor. Metodologia/abordagem: O método de pesquisa escolhido foi a análise bibliográfica do tema através de pesquisa por intermédio de livros, legislação e do Google Acadêmico, com a seleção de publicações como artigos e revistas da área. Background: Prior studies evaluating thyroid fine needle aspiration biopsies (FNABs) have limited the calculation of risk of malignancy (ROM) to cytologic specimens with corresponding histologic specimens, and clinical follow-up for those patients who do not undergo immediate surgery has been largely disregarded. Moreover, there is marked variability in how researchers have approached thyroid FNAB statistical analyses. This study addresses the urgent need for information from a large cohort of patients with long-term clinical follow-up to more accurately determine the performance of thyroid FNAB and ROM for each diagnostic category. Methods: A retrospective review of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), pathology database for thyroid FNABs from January 1, 1997, to December 31, 2004, was performed. Diagnoses were coded using the 2017 The Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology (TBSRTC), and patients were matched to both the UCSF cancer registry and California Cancer Registry. Data were analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method, and stratified by TBSRTC diagnostic category. Kaplan-Meier curves were used to estimate incidence rates of malignancy, stratified by FNAB category. Cox proportional hazards models were used to determine the instantaneous ROM. Results: Initial FNABs from 2207 patients were included. Median follow-up period after the first thyroid FNAB was 13.9 years (range: 10.5-18.4 years). During follow-up, there were 279 confirmed diagnoses of thyroid malignancy. Estimates derived from Kaplan-Meier curves demonstrated that the risk of having a thyroid malignancy was low for nondiagnostic and benign categories, intermediate for atypia of undetermined significance (AUS), follicular lesion of undetermined significance (FLUS), AUS/FLUS combined, and follicular neoplasm, and high for suspicious and malignant categories. At the end of the 19th century, specifically in the contexts of the United States and Europe, the emergence of ruptures around the conception of the artifactual became increasingly evident. The urgency of the professionals attached to the design disciplines to base their practices on a foundation that did not come from the meanings of the art of the time, became a kind of categorical imperative. When designers became interested in other sources of knowledge to ground their theories, the concepts of beauty and functionality, subject for decades to the conception of shape (forms), were finally divorced. In order to constitute methods that would help them distance themselves from subjectivity, and that would bring Design and Architecture closer to the knowledge and observational practices of the sciences, designers opened the way to the appropriateness of analogies. Although the intelligible processes they sought to establish pursued a kind of objectivity of functions, their attempts were valued, and at the same time criticized as a utopian task to achieve. Cuando los diseñadores se interesaron en otras fuentes de conocimiento que cimentaran sus teorías, los conceptos de belleza y funcionalidad, sujetos por decenios a la concepción de la forma, se divorciaron finalmente. Con el objeto de constituir métodos que los ayudaran a tomar distancia de la subjetividad, y que encaminaran al Diseño y la Arquitectura hacia el conocimiento y las prácticas de observación de las ciencias, los diseñadores abrieron el camino hacia la adecuación de las analogías. Aunque los procesos inteligibles que buscaron instaurar perseguían una especie de objetividad de las funciones, sus intentos fueron valorados, y a la vez criticados como una tarea utópica de alcanzar. El análisis crítico, comparativo e interpretativo entre las obras que parecieron materializar dichos procesos y las críticas que acusan su ausencia se presentan para cuestionar su falta o no de coherencia.

This article aims to incorporate the reliability model of power electronic converters into power system reliability analysis. The converter reliability has widely been explored in device- and converter-levels according to physics of failure analysis. However, optimal decision-making for design, planning, operation, and maintenance of power electronic converters require system-level reliability modeling of power electronic-based power systems. Therefore, this article proposes a procedure to evaluate the reliability of power electronic-based power systems from the device-level up to the system-level. Furthermore, the impact of converter failure rates including random chance and wear-out failures on power system performance in different applications such as wind turbine and electronic transmission lines is illustrated. Moreover, because of a high calculation burden raised by the physics of failure analysis for large-scale power electronic systems, this article explores the required accuracy for reliability modeling of converters in different applications. Numerical case studies are provided employing modified versions of the Roy Billinton Test System (RBTS). The analysis shows that the converter failures may affect the overall system performance depending on its application. Many OECD countries have addressed the issue of increased longevity by mainly increasing the retirement age. However, this kind of reforms may lead to substantial transfers from those with shorter lifespans to those that will live longer than the average, as they do not necessarily take into account the socio-economic differences in mortality. The contribution of our paper is therefore twofold. Firstly, we illustrate how both a Defined Benefit and a Notional Defined Contribution pay-as-you-go scheme can put the lower social economic classes at a disadvantage, when compared to the actuarially fair pensions. In contrast to that, higher classes experience a gain. This is due to the fact that mortality rates per socio-economic class are not considered by either scheme. This letter proposes a method to model the power converter availability for power system adequacy assessment. The proposed method considers wear-out as well as chance failures and calculates an equivalent failure rate accordingly. In this regard, it is shown that neglecting the wear-out failures and the dynamic behavior of adequacy indices can lead to considerable errors. Moreover, the performance of the proposed availability modeling method is compared to that of the existing solutions through calculating the Expected Energy Not Supplied (EENS) in a case study. The comparison confirms the superior performance of the proposed method in terms of high accuracy and low computational burden.

Objective: Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is a well-established diagnostic procedure for head and neck masses not clearly originating from mucosal or cutaneous surfaces. We analysed head and neck masses evaluated over a 2-year period, to assess the reliability of FNAC for the evaluation of malignancy. Methods: We enrolled all patients undergoing FNAC, from April 2013 to July 2015, in a single service of a large Italian university hospital. Relevant clinical data and ultrasonographic parameters of the lesions were recorded. We performed both conventional and thin-prep smears. Clinical presentation, ultrasonographic features and final cytology diagnoses were analysed and correlated with histology. Results: The series included 301 lesions in 285 patients, with a single (94.4%) or two (5.6%) lesions. Only eight samples were considered non-diagnostic/inadequate (2.6%). Among the cases, 139 FNAC (46.1%) underwent surgery. Cytological-histological correspondence was found in 89% of the cases. Concerning malignancy, we documented less than 4% false positives and less than 2.5% false negatives, with 92.7% sensitivity and 94.6% specificity. Conclusion: FNAC diagnosis can be highly specific. Most importantly, it is highly reliable in assessing malignancy, thus defining the priority and guiding the management procedures.

Renewable energy resources are becoming the dominating element in power systems. Along with de-carbonization, they transform power systems into a more distributed, autonomous, bottom-up style one. We speak of Smart Grid and Microgrid when distributed energy resources take over. While being a means to improve technical and financial efficiency, planning, operations, and carbon footprint, it is these new technologies that also introduce new challenges. Reliability is one of them, deserving a new way of describing and assessing system and component reliability. This paper introduces a new reliability framework that covers these new elements in modern power systems.
