The PI3K enzymes modify phospholipids to regulate cell growth and differentiation. Somatic variants in PI3K are recurrent in cancer and drive a proliferative phenotype. Somatic mosaicism of PIK3R1 and PIK3CA are associated with vascular anomalies and overgrowth syndromes. Germline PIK3R1 variants are associated with varying phenotypes, including immunodeficiency or facial dysmorphism with growth delay, lipoatrophy, and insulin resistance associated with SHORT syndrome. There has been limited study of the molecular mechanism to unify our understanding of how variants in PIK3R1 drive both undergrowth and overgrowth phenotypes. Thus, we compiled genomic variants from cancer and rare vascular anomalies and sought to interpret their effects using an unbiased physics-based simulation approach for the protein complex. We applied molecular dynamics simulations to mechanistically understand how genetic variants affect PIK3R1 and its interactions with PIK3CA. Notably, iSH2 genetic variants associated with undergrowth destabilize molecular interactions with the PIK3CA receptor binding domain in simulations, which is expected to decrease activity. On the other hand, overgrowth and cancer variants lead to loss of inhibitory interactions in simulations, which is expected to increase activity. We find that all disease variants display dysfunctions on either structural characteristics or intermolecular interaction energy. Thus, this comprehensive characterization of novel mosaic somatic variants associated with two opposing phenotypes has mechanistic importance and biomedical relevance and may aid in future therapeutic developments.

While forest plantations are a topic attracting growing interest in Central Africa, their undergrowth has been little studied. In order to assess the potential contribution of plantations of exotic species to the restoration of plant cover on anthropised land in Kivu (Democratic Republic of the Congo), the plant diversity of their understorey was characterised and compared in a selection of single-species plantations of Eucalyptus saligna and Grevillea robusta on two sites (Sake and Kirumba) with different altitudinal and pedoclimatic conditions. The variations in plant composition found by the surveys was then analysed according to certain ecological parameters. Finally, indicator species of the altitudinal and pedoclimatic conditions at each site were identified. The data collected in 2018 and 2020 in 12 plantations, using the minimum area method, showed a high degree of heterogeneity in the plant composition of the understorey. Although herbaceous species predominated, some woody and liana species were also found in these understoreys. The species richness did not differ significantly between sites or between the tree species planted. Species richness varied from one survey to another depending on latitude, soil pH and bioavailable aluminium and magnesium concentrations. Thirteen indicator species for the altitudinal and pedoclimatic conditions of the sites were identified altogether, nine for Sake and four for Kirumba. Repetition of the surveys increased the sampling effort even though the minimum area did not change significantly over two years. This study highlighted the contribution of exotic species plantations to the recovery of plant cover on potentially degraded sites in Kivu and suggested management measures suited to the physico-chemical properties of the soils. It is easy to cultivate and has high economic value. The purpose of this community service was to provide knowledge to forest farmers about patchouli plants. The activities carried out in this program were providing counseling to forest farmers about the theory related to patchouli cultivation and its benefits, business opportunities, oil processing, and mentioned costs and income from patchouli cultivation. Анализ почв лесопарков города Екатеринбурга Свердловской области проводился на основе изучения морфологических и химических свойств почв. Почвенные разрезы были заложены в лесопарке им. Лесоводов России, в Юго-Западном, Санаторном, Уктусском и Шарташском лесопарках. В составе древостоя лесопарковой зоны Екатеринбурга преобладает сосна обыкновенная (Pinus sylvestris L.), отмечено отсутствие или неравномерное распределение подроста и подлеска. Чаще всего произрастают следующие подлесочные виды: ракитник русский (Суtlsus ruthenicus Fisch. ex Bess.), черемуха обыкновенная (Prunus padus L.), рябина обыкновенная (Sorbus aucuparia L.) и роза иглистая (Rosa acicularis Lindl.). В задачи исследования входило изучение почв, на которых произрастают данные подлесочные виды. На бурых лесных почвах состав подлеска разнообразней, чем на дерново-подзолистых. В каждом лесопарке было заложено по 2–3 почвенных разреза и взяты образцы почв для определения агрохимических свойств каждого выделенного почвенного горизонта. Были определены скелетность, удельный вес, объемный вес, порозность, обменная кислотность рНКСl, обеспеченность доступными калием и фосфором, гидролитическая кислотность, сумма обменных оснований, емкость поглощения и степень насыщенности основаниями. В изученных лесопарках были выявлены два типа почв: бурые лесные и подзолистые. Бурые лесные почвы представлены двумя подтипами – типичными и оподзоленными, а подзолистые – дерново-подзолистыми. In the soils of forest parks, no urbic horizons characteristic of anthropogenically transformed soils were found, but the presence of anthropogenic inclusions in the surface horizons was noted.

Целью исследований явилось изучение особенностей формирования подроста кедра как в естественных, так и в искусственных древостоях. В основу исследований положен метод пробных площадей. В результате исследований установлено, что кедровая роща в настоящее время испытывает серьезные рекреационные нагрузки со стороны местного населения. При этом основное воздействие приходится на подрост и живо напочвенный покров. В составе древостоев достаточно много перестойных деревьев кедра с низкой интенсивностью плодоношения и с наличием повреждений антропогенного и природного характера. Естественное лесовосстановление кедра под пологом древостоев наблюдается на площади 13,3 га (71,9 % общей площади покрытых лесной растительностью земель). Насаждения с отсутствием подроста кедра представлены культурами кедра в возрасте не старше 59 лет (молодняками), а также ольшаником в пойме ручья с полным отсутствием кедра в составе древостоя. Плодоношение в возрасте 45–59 лет наблюдается только у отдельных деревьев кедра. В составе подроста кедра преобладают экземпляры высотой до 0,5 м. Доля жизнеспособного подрост с увеличением высоты подроста, а соответственно, и его возраста уменьшается. Результаты исследования имеют практическое значение и могут быть использованы при планировани и проведении работ по воспроизводству лесов и организации рекреационной деятельности на территории памятника природы «Нижнесалдинская кедровая роща»., The article contains the results of assessing the natural reforestation under the canopy of the natural monument of regional signifi cance «Nizhnesaldinskaya cedar grove». The aim of the research was to study the features of the formation of Siberian stone pine undergrowth both in natural and artifi cial stands. The research is based on the trial plot method. As a result of research, it was found that the cedar grove is currently experiencing serious recreational stress from the local population. In this case, the main impact falls on undergrowth and living ground cover. There are a lot of overmature cedar trees with a low fruiting intensity and with the presence of anthropogenic and natural damage in the forest stands Natural reforestation of cedar under the canopy of forest stands is observed on an area of 13,3 hectare (71,9 % of the total area covered with forest vegetation). Plantations with no cedar undergrowth are represented by cedar cultures not older than 59 years (young stands), as well as alder in the stream fl oodplain with a complete absence of cedar in the stand. The intensification of agriculture in olive groves, especially the modification or elimination of spontaneous vegetation, alters the relationships in arthropod communities and reduces their interactions and ecosystem services. This study was carried out in nine olive groves in which there was either a planted cover crop, spontaneous cover crop or bare ground. The interactions of ground-dwelling, canopy and flying arthropods in trophic webs were calculated for each olive grove soil management regime at the family level taking into consideration their different functional traits: feeding guilds, specific agricultural traits and trophic level. Olive groves with spontaneous cover had trophic webs with a higher number of plausible links between arthropod families and a more balanced distribution of specimens among trophic levels compared to those with planted cover and bare ground. There was a similar number of arthropod families consisting of both pests and their natural enemies in the planted cover regime, while olive groves with bare ground had simpler trophic webs. The complexity of plausible trophic links was greater in olive groves with spontaneous plant cover despite the similar values for family richness in the three-olive grove soil management regimes. Qualitative values (such as functional traits) were more diverse in agroecosystems with spontaneous plant cover in which there were more sources of food.

Исследования выполнены на южной части восточного отвала отходов обогащения бедных руд и вскрышных пород месторождения хризотил-асбеста. Указанное месторождение расположено в Сухоложском лесничестве Свердловской области, территория которого, согласно схеме лесорастительного районирования, относится к округу предлесостепных сосново-березовых лесов Зауральской равнинной провинции Западно-Сибирской равнинной лесорастительной области. В соответствии с действующим лесохозяйственным районированием территория месторождения входит в Среднеральский таежный лесной район. На трех уровнях указанного отвала был выполнен учет подроста на различных расстояниях от откоса с подразделением всех жизнеспособных экземпляров сосны обыкновенной (Pinus sylvestris L.) по жизненным формам: дерево, стелющаяся форма, куст. Установлено, что соотношение различных форм зависит от уровня отвала, расстояния до откоса и крупности подроста. Полагаем, что разнообразие форм подроста сосны обыкновенной является его реакцией на выживание в экстремальных условиях, складывающихся на поверхности отвала отходов месторождения хризотил-асбеста. С улучшением условий произрастания доля экземпляров подроста с формой дерево возрастает. The west Siberian plain forest growing area, inacoordanle with the current forestry zoning of the territory is included in Middle Ural taiga forest district. At 3 levels al the specifi ed dump undergrowth accounting was carried out at various distances from the slope using the method of all scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) vidble specieemens division according their life-forms: tree, creeping form, bush. At was established that correspondence of varions forms depends on dumplevel as well as on distance to slope and size. We believe that the forms of pine undergrowth diversity is its response to survival in extreme conditions developing on the dump surface of chrysotile-asbestos deposit wastes. With growing condition improving the proportion of undergrowith copies having the tree-form increases. The lather indicates the need apply unconventional fertilizers to the surface of the dump in order to accelerate the process of natural reclamation.

Основной задачей лесного комплекса является сохранение и преумножение лесных богатств нашей страны. На естественное возобновление мест рубок большое влияние оказывает технология заготовки древесины. Целью данной работы является изучение естественного возобновления лесосек с применением тяжелой техники, а именно тракторов ЛХТ-55 и ТТ-4. Объектами исследования были выбраны шесть участков в Петрокаменском участковом лесничестве, три из которых представлены зимней заготовкой 2017 г., а три других – летней заготовкой 2016 г. В основу исследования положен метод закладки временных пробных площадей в количестве 6 шт., при этом на каждой такой площади закладывалось по 20–25 учетных площадок. Площадки закладывались на равном расстоянии друг от друга. Расположение учетных площадок было следующее: на волоке, на расстоянии 2, 4, 6, 10 и 14 м в глубь пасеки. Учет подроста проводился по следующим параметрам: по породному составу, высотной структуре и жизненному состоянию. Таким образом было заложено 150 учетных площадок. Деление подроста происходило по следующим группам высот: мелкий – растения, высотой менее 0,5 м; средний – экземпляры высотой 0,6–1,5 м; и крупный – растения, высота которых составляла более 1,5 м. На волоках подрост уничтожается полностью, но количество всходов относительно пасеки наибольшее. Количество подроста в пасеках варьирует в зависимости от удаленности от волока. Чем дальше от волока, тем больше подроста сохраняется. На расстоянии 2,0 м от волока фиксируется максимальное количество нежизнеспособного подроста, это связано с особенностью трелевки тяжелой техникой. The study is based on the method of laying temporary trial areas, in the amount of 6 pieces, while each such area was laid on 20–25 accounting platforms. Platforms were laid at equal distances from each other. The location of the accounting platforms was as follows: on the drag, at a distance of 2, 4, 6, 10 and 14 m deep into the apiary. The undergrowth was recorded according to the following parameters: breed composition, height structure, and life status. Thus, 150 accounting platforms were created. The regrowth was divided into the following groups of heights: small-plants less than 0,5 m high; medium-specimens, 0,6–1,5 m high; and largeplants, the height of which was more than 1,5 m. The regrowth is destroyed on the portage, but the number of seedlings, relative to the apiary, is the largest. The amount of regrowth in apiaries varies depending on the distance from the portage. The further away from the portage, the more regrowth is preserved. At a distance of 2,0 m from the portage, the maximum amount of non-viable undergrowth is recorded, this is due to the feature of skidding with heavy equipment. At a greater distance from the portage, namely 6, 10 and 14 m, the viability and amount of regrowth are higher, regardless of the harvesting season. There is also a change of coniferous species to deciduous, but this process is slower during summer harvesting.

На 11 пробных площадях, расположенных в разнотравном типе леса, пройденных лесными пожарами и сплошными рубками, проведена оценка успешности лесовосстановления. Четыре пробные площади расположены в условиях Южно-Уральского лесостепного района (Чебаркульское лесничество) и семь пробных площадей – в условиях Средне-Уральского таёжного района (Невьянское лесничество). На пробных площадях проводился учёт подроста методом учётных площадок. Подрост учитывался по породам, по категориям высот и по жизнеспособности. По материалам лесоустройства было установлено, что до пожара и сплошной рубки на пробных площадях в Южно-Уральском лесостепном районе количества подроста было недостаточно, чтобы считать лесовосстановление успешным. На пробных площадях в Средне-Уральском таёжном районе до пожара и сплошной рубки подрост отсутствовал в связи с малым возрастом древостоя (55–60 лет). После проведения сплошных рубок различной давности успешное лесовосстановление берёзой в количестве 6500–6750 шт./га наблюдается только на пробных площадях в березняках разнотравных Южно-Уральского лесостепного района. На пробных площадях в сосняках разнотравных Южно-Уральского лесостепного района и на пробных площадях как в сосняках, так и в березняках разнотравных Средне-Уральского таёжного района количества подроста недостаточно, чтобы считать процесс лесовосстановления успешным. Таким образом, на площадях, расположенных в разнотравном типе леса, пройденных лесным пожаром и сплошными рубками различной давности как в Южно-Уральском лесостепном районе (лесостепная лесорастительная зона), так и Средне-Уральском таёжном районе (таёжная лесорастительная зона), необходимо планировать мероприятия по содействию естественному возобновлению или создание насаждений искусственным путём. On trial areas in the Middle Ural taiga region before the fi re and continuous logging, there was no undergrowth due to the low age of the stand of 55–60 years. After carrying out of continuous cabins of different stages of successful reforestation of birch in the amount of 6500–6750 units/ha. it is observed only on trial areas in birch trees of various grasses of the South Ural forest-steppe region. The number of undergrowth is not suffi cient to consider the reforestation process successful in the trial areas in the mixed-grass pine forests of the South Ural forest-steppe region and in the trial areas, both in the pine and birch forests of the Middle Ural taiga region. Thus, it is necessary to plan measures to promote natural renewal or the creation of plantings artifi cially on areas located in a multi-grass type of forest, passed by forest fi re and continuous logging of various ages both in the South Ural forest-steppe region (forest-steppe forest-growing zone) and in the Middle Ural taiga region (taiga forest-growing zone). Research materials can be used by organizations engaged in reforestation.

На основании анализа данных 103 864 лесотаксационных выделов предпринята попытка установления обеспеченности подростом насаждений лесного фонда, произрастающих на территории лицензионных участков ПАО «НК “Роснефть”». Установлена высокая обеспеченность абсолютного большинства насаждений подростом хвойных пород. С повышением возраста древостоев количество хвойного подроста под их пологом увеличивается. Аналогичная тенденция наблюдается при наличии примеси лиственных пород в составе темнохвойных насаждений. Максимальное количество хвойного подроста в пересчете на крупный зафиксировано при относительной полноте древостоя 0,6–0,8. Последнее следует учитывать при планировании и проведении рубок ухода и рубок спелых и перестойных насаждений. Наличие значительного количества хвойного подроста под пологом древостоев позволяет рекомендовать в качестве основного естественный способ лесовосстановления. В качестве меры содействия естественному возобновлению рекомендуется сохранение подроста предварительной генерации в процессе проведения лесосечных работ. Наличие значительного количества подроста сосны кедровой сибирской под пологом производных мягколиственных и елово-пихтовых насаждений позволяет проектировать выборочные рубки спелых и перестойных насаждений с целью переформирования их в коренные кедровники. Создание искусственных насаждений на территории лицензионных участков целесообразно лишь после проведения технического этапа рекультивации нарушенных земель., Basing on the analyses of 103864 forest taxation allotments data an attempt has been made to establish provision of forest fund stands growing on the territory of PAO «NK Rosneft» ckenced allotment with undergrowth. High provision of the stands most part with coniferous species undergrowth has been established. The number of coniferous undergrowth under their canopy grows as stands age grow. Analogous tendency is observed in availability of broadleaved admixtures in dark coniferous stands composition. The lightest possible number of coniferous undergrowth when evaluated in bulky sized was fi xed when stands relative density constitute 0.6–0.8. The later shoved be taken into account when planning and carrying out improvement fi lling and falling in maturs and overmature stands. A signifi cant amount of coniferous undergrowth availability under stands canopy makes possible recommend the natural way of reforestation as the main one. To promote natural reforestation it is recommended to preserve previous generation undergrowth in the process of works on felling site carrying out. Signifi cant number of Siberian stone pins undergrowth availability under canopy of derivative soffl e aved and spruce-fi r stands makes possible to project selective felling in mature and overmature stands having in view to reform them into native cembritums. Species composition, aboveground phytomass of plants of living ground cover in absolutely dry condition and density of undergrowth were determined on 101 test areas. Resources of nectariferous in various forests of the study area are analyzed on the basis of these indicators. Research materials can be used by beekeepers for organization the main and supporting honey harvest. 17 species have suffi cient reserves for honey collection. Of these, 13 grow in living ground cover and 4 in undergrowth. It is established that most of the plants are not of interest for harvesting pollen and nectar, due to low honey production, or with inaccessibility for worker bees. Forests with signifi cant resources of honey plants were grouped into 4 types of land, according to the set of natural and geographical conditions and species of honey plants. The greatest resources of honey plants of a live ground cover are characterized by cuttings and young growth. The aboveground phytomass of honey plants of the living ground cover in them is 108.3–1249.2 kg/ha in a completely dry condition. High resources of nectariferous have spruce plantations of the upland forest-meadow belt. In them, the above-ground phytomass of honey plants of living ground cover is 210.3–1206.0 kg/ha in a completely dry state. In both varieties of land fl owering of important honey plants continues throughout the season. In the conditions of burnt forest interest for pollen and nectar harvesting is Chamaenerion angustifolium (L. Scop.). This species blooms in late July and August, and the above-ground phytomass reaches 718.4 kg/ha in a completely dry state. In plantations damaged by wind, honey collection is possible in July., На 101 пробной площади определён видовой состав, надземная фитомасса растений живого напочвенного покрова в абсолютно сухом состоянии и густота подлеска. На основе этих показателей проанализированы ресурсы медоносов в различных насаждениях района исследования. Материалы исследования могут использоваться пчеловодами для организации главного и поддерживающего медосбора. Достаточными запасами для медосбора обладают 17 видов. Из них 13 произрастают в живом напочвенном покрове и 4 в подлеске. Установлено, что большая часть растений не представляет интереса для заготовки пыльцы и нектара в связи с низкой мёдопродуктивностью либо с труднодоступностью для рабочих пчёл. Насаждения, обладающие значительными ресурсами медоносных растений, были сгруппированы в 4 вида угодий по совокупности природно-географических условий и видам медоносов. Наибольшими запасами растений-медоносов живого напочвенного покрова характеризуются вырубки и несомкнувшиеся молодняки. Надземная фитомасса медоносных растений живого напочвенного покрова в них составляет 108,3–1249,2 кг/га. Высокими ресурсами медоносов обладают насаждения ельника нагорного лесолугового пояса. В них надземная фитомасса медоносных растений живого напочвенного покрова составляет 210,3–1206,0 кг/га в абсолютно сухом состоянии. В обоих разновидностях угодий цветение важных медоносов продолжается в течение всего сезона. В условиях горельников интерес для заготовки пыльцы и нектара представляет Chamaenerion angustifolium (L. Scop.). Данный вид цветёт в конце июля и в августе, а надземная фитомасса достигает 718,4 кг/га в абсолютно сухом состоянии. В насаждениях, повреждённых ветром, медосбор возможен в июле.

Проведено изучение морфологических и агрохимических свойств почв пашни, зарастающей древесной растительностью, на территории Свердловского лесничества Департамента лесного хозяйства Свердловской области (в окрестностях поселка Марамзино). Район исследования принадлежит Двуреченскому почвенному району Свердловской области, таежной зоны Средне-Уральского таежного лесного района. Исследовалась серая лесная обычная среднемощная глинистая почва. На территории объекта проходило комплексное обследование с изучением всех компонентов насаждения (подроста, ЖНП, подстилки, почв и т.д.) общепринятыми методиками, для того чтобы выявить, как зарастание древесной растительностью повлияло на почву, которая вышла из-под сельскохозяйственного пользования. Исследованы четыре почвенных разреза, заложенных вместе: с наибольшей густотой сформировавшегося молодняка, под пологом прилегающего к бывшей пашне леса, на начальной стадии зарастания древесной растительностью и на бывшей пашне, не успевшей зарасти древесной растительностью. Наибольшая густота сформировавшихся молодняков около стены леса – 10 940 шт./га, возрастом 11 лет, составом 8С2Б и полнотой 0,68; средними диаметром 3,2 см, высотой 3,7 м. Прилегающая стена леса имеет состав 5С5Б, возраст 70 лет, полноту 0,6, запас 180 м3/га, среднюю высоту 19 м, средний диаметр 21 см. На начальной стадии зарастания пашни формируются молодняки составом 10С+Б, полнотой 0,1, густотой 1079 шт./га, средним возрастом 8 лет, диаметром 3,1 см, высотой 3,4 м. Обнаружена связь интенсивности зарастания пашни с выраженностью протекания подзолистого процесса: чем более густая растительность сформировалась, тем интенсивнее выражен подзолистый процесс. Данные закономерности можно проследить по следующим показателям: увеличению мощности переходных горизонтов А1А2 и А2В, увеличению в них гидролитической кислотности, а также уменьшению степени насыщенности почв основаниями и увеличению обменной кислотности, облегчению гранулометрического состава., A study of the morphological and agrochemical properties of arable soil, growing woody vegetation on the territory of the Sverdlovsk forestry Department of the Sverdlovsk region (in the vicinity of the village of Maramsino). В окрестностях Свердловска в 1934 г. выделением 4 лесокультурных участков было положено начало строительства лесопаркового пояса. Нарушенность естественных процессов в лесных насаждениях около городов выражается в вытеснении аборигенных, свойственных подзоне южной тайги видов и внедрении новых древесных таксонов инорайонного происхождения. Плотность ценопопуляций аборигенных и интродуцированных подлесочных видов может служить индикатором антропогенной трансформации насаждений лесопарковой зоны. Маршрутным обследованием и закладкой шести пробных площадей определено 18 видов интродуцентов 23 родов 10 семейств, внедренных под полог перестойных древесных насаждений. В подлеске лесопарка им. Лесоводов России отмечена экспансия 14 древесных интродуцентов, в Уктусском лесопарке 11 инорайонных видов внедрились под полог перестойных сосновых насаждений. Исследования проводились в Северском участковом лесничестве Сысертского лесничества Свердловской области. Подбор участков для исследований осуществлялся с использованием материалов лесоустройства с последующим визуальным осмотром территории. В работе проанализировано состояние естественного возобновления на вырубках в сосняках, пройденных сплошнолесосечной рубкой в 2006 г. Для закладки временных пробных площадей, было подобрано четыре вырубки в сосняке разнотравном и четыре в сосняке ягодниковом. На основании данных восьми пробных площадей сделаны выводы о состоянии подроста. Установлено, что встречаемость подроста сосны как в ягодниковом, так и в разнотравном типе леса составила более 77 %. Последнее позволяет утверждать, что распределение подроста по площади равномерное. Большая часть подроста и в том и в другом типе леса относится к жизнеспособному. Последнее свидетельствует о хорошей устойчивости подроста к изменениям лесорастительной среды после сплошных рубок в исследуемых типах леса. Также в исследуемых типах леса подлесок не имеет большого развития и, как следствие, не затрудняет процесс естественного возобновления леса., The research was carried out in the Seversky district forestry of the Sysert forestry of the Sverdlovsk region. This indicates a good resistance of the teenager to changes in the forest environment in the process of clear cutting in the studied types of forest. Статья посвящена изучению параметров хвои соснового подроста. Исследование проводилось на 5 временных пробных площадях, расположенных в северо-восточном направлении на расстоянии 200, 300, 450, 650 и 1400 м от горнодобывающего предприятия ОАО «Святогор», расположенного на территории Кушвинского лесничества Свердловской области. ПП закладывались в естественных насаждениях с однородными по составу, полноте, запасу, средним показателям диаметра и высоты древостоями. Для оценки состояния подроста сосны было проведено изучение его хвои по следующим показателям: длина, ширина, ширина полусферической стороны, общая площадь поверхности, а также был определен индекс флуктуирующей асимметрии хвои. Хвоя отбиралась попарно с побегов последних трех лет (2015–2017 гг.) в количестве 10 шт. с 10 молодых растений сосны на каждой ПП. В ходе исследований установлено, что индекс флуктуирующей асимметрии имеет критическое значение на ПП 1 в 2015 и 2017 гг. и на ПП 2–5 в 2016 гг. Данный показатель для рассмотренных ПП изменяется ежегодно, и какая-либо определенная тенденции практически не прослеживается на всех ПП, кроме ПП 2, на которой наблюдаются минимальные колебания и относительно одинаковые значения морфобиологических показателей. Ширина хвоинок на всех площадях находится в пределах от 0,97 (ПП 5, 2015 г.) до 1,5 мм (ПП 3, 2017 г.) при среднем значении 1,1 мм. Наибольшее среднее значение поверхности хвоинок наблюдается на ПП 1 и 2 в 2015 г., на ПП 3 – в 2017 г.,на ПП 4 и 5 – в 2016 г., The paper deals with undergrowth of pine needles parameters studying. The investigations have been carried out on fi ve sample plots located in northeast direction at 200, 300, 450, 650 and 1400 meters from the mining enterprise «Svyatogor» on the territory of Kushvinsky forest district, Sverdlovsk district. Temporary sample plots have bun laid in forest stands with homogenous in composition, completeness, stock by original forest stands with average indicators on diameter and height. For pine undergrowth condition estimation its needles studying has been carried out according the following indicators: length, width, hemisphere side width, the total surface square, needle fl uctuating asymmetry index has also been established. The needles were selected in pairs from shoots of resent three years (2015–2017) in number of of 10 pieces with 10 young pine trees for each temporary sample plots. On the course of the investigations it has been established that fl uctuating index is critical to temporary simple plot 1 (in 2015 and 2017), and to temporary simple plot 2-5 (in 2016). The given indicator for sample plots considered is changed annually, there observed no special tendency to all temporary simple plot, except simple plot 2, minimal fl uctuations, and relatively equal values of morph-biologic indicators are observed there. The width of the needles on all plots constitute the range 0,97 (temporary simple plot 5, 2015) – 1,5 mm. (temporary simple plot 3, 2017), the average – 1,1 mm. The largest average indicator of needles surface is observed on simple plot 1 and 2 (2015) on simple plot 3 – in 2017, on simple plot 4 and 5 – in 2016. Anthropogenic impact is rated high of 300-meter distance from the source of pollution, but at the distance 450–1400 – moderate.

В результате воздействия промышленных поллютантов в ряде районов Урала сформировались неблагоприятные условия для произрастания лесной растительности. Одним из них является территория вблизи г. Верхнего Уфалея Челябинской области, где на протяжении многих десятилетий функционировало металлургическое предприятие ОАО «Уфалейникель», с 1 апреля 2017 г. производственная деятельность которого остановлена. Но, как известно, влияние поллютантов на растительность может осуществляться или путем непосредственного воздействия на ассимиляционный аппарат и прекращения фотосинтеза, или косвенно, путем накопления в почве сернистых и других соединений, ухудшения условий минерального питания и повреждения корневой системы. В работе приведены результаты изучения влияния промышленных поллютантов ОАО «Уфалейникель» на средний периодический прирост центрального побега подроста сосны обыкновенной. Исследования проведены на временных пробных площадях, расположенных в юго-восточном направлении от источника промышленных поллютантов. Полученные данные свидетельствуют о неодинаковом влиянии поллютантов на подрост различных категорий крупности. Большее воздействие промышленные поллютанты оказывают на категории среднего и крупного подроста. Мелкий подрост является менее восприимчивым к аэротехногенному воздействию. Текущий прирост по годам у растений высотой менее 0,5 м с каждым годом отчетливо увеличивается, тогда как указанной закономерности у подроста других категорий крупности не обнаружено., As a result of exposure to industrial pollutants in some areas of the Urals unfavorable conditions for the growth of forest vegetation were formed. But, as is well known, the effect of pollutants on vegetation can be carried out either by directly affecting the assimilation apparatus and stopping photosynthesis, or indirectly, by accumulating sulfur and other compounds in the soil, worsening the conditions of mineral nutrition and damaging the root system. The paper presents the results of studying the effect of industrial pollutants of JSC «Ufaleynickel» on the average periodic increase in the central shoot of the young pine undergrowth. The studies were carried out on temporary sample plots located in the southeast direction from the source of industrial pollutants. The data obtained indicate that the pollutants do not have the same effect on the growth of various size categories. Industrial pollutants have a greater impact on the categories of medium and large undergrowth. Small undergrowth is less susceptible to airborne impacts. The current increase over the years in plants with a height of less than 0.5 m is clearly increasing every year, while the specifi ed pattern in the undergrowth of other categories of size is not found.

Проанализированы показатели влияния диких копытных животных на сохранность лесных культур сосны обыкновенной (Pinus sylvestris L.) и ели сибирской (Picea obovata Ledeb.) в условиях округа сосново-березовых предлесостепных лесов Зауральской равнинной провинции Западно-Сибирской равнинной лесорастительной области. Установлено, что из-за объедания дикими копытными животными списывается 22,1 % созданных лесных культур. Особенно большой ущерб наносят косуля сибирская и лось лесным культурам сосны обыкновенной. При плотности населения косули сибирской более 5 шт./1000 га практически все экземпляры 7-летних лесных культур имеют следы неоднократного повреждения. Из-за недостатка кормов в зимний период лось и косуля начинают активно использовать в пищу почки и ветви ели сибирской и березы повислой (Betula pendula Roth.). При этом практически полностью объедается подростосины (Populus tremula L.). Высота повреждений варьируется от 0,63 до 1,21 м. Другими словами, косуля сибирская, скусывая верхушечные почки, поддерживает свою кормовую базу, вынуждая молодые растения ветвиться. The need for brushing before the first thinning has increased during the last few years. This brushing involves taking away small trees and bushes making it able for the harvester operator to see better and choose the correct trees to be harvested. In today’s silviculture the brushing is often neglected which means that the undergrowth becomes dense and leads to less efficiency for harvesters and a rise in costs. A well brushed first thinning will make the harvesting costs low and time efficient. In brushing before the 1st thinning all stems below 9 cm d bh are traditionally taken down. This has a tendency to become stereotyped; i.e. brushes are also taken away in areas where stronger nature conservation should be applied, as in wetlands, edge zones, etc. The harvester operator then gets stuck in these zones which threaten the biodiversity. This study aims at examining two different types of brushing methods before the thinning, the traditional one and another (new) method where environmental and nature protection aspects were taken into account to a greater degree; i.e. where more stems and undergrowth have been left over and edge zones were not brushed. The study results show that the latter one is to prefer as the more cost efficient one. It also protects the harvester to drive out into the edge zones. This method is also beneficial for the wildlife. Most harvester operators were positive to a new brushing manual.

Наведено результати дослідження освітленості під наметом деревостанів та її вплив на кількість і якість природного насіннєвого поновлення дуба звичайного (Quercus robur L.) в умовах вологих суборів Західного Полісся України. Встановлено, що зі зниженням повноти зростає пропускна здатність намету деревостану, тобто під намет деревостану проникає більше світла, і як наслідок – збільшується кількість підросту. Встановлено, що вертикальна структура деревостану та підріст старших поколінь безпосередньо впливають на надходження сонячної радіації до природного насіннєвого поновлення дуба., Some results of studies of illumination under the canopy of forest stands, and its impact on the amount and quality of natural seed renovation of oak (Quercus robur L.) in terms of wet pine forests of the Western Polissya of Ukraine are presented. A decrease of normality, increasing the bandwidth canopy of forest stand that is under the canopy is found to be lighter and as a result increases the amount of undergrowth. The vertical structure of the forest stand and undergrowth of older generations is proved to directly affect the incoming solar radiation to the natural seed renovation of oak., Приведены результаты исследований освещенности под пологом древостоев и ее влияние на количество и качество природного семенного возобновления дуба обыкновенного (Quercus robur L.) в условиях влажных суборей Западного Полесья Украины. Установлено, что с понижением полноты растет пропускная способность полога древостоя, то есть под полог древостоя проходит больше света, и вследствие – увеличивается количество подроста. Установлено, что вертикальная структура древостоя и подрост старших поколений непосредственно влияют на поступление солнечной радиации к естественному семенному возобновлению дуба.

I Sverige finns ca 1,2 miljoner hektar skog som bedöms ha omedelbart röjningsbehov. Skog där röjningen uteblir eller är svag kan komma att klassas som konfliktbestånd. I denna studie jämfördes produktionen, kostnaderna och intäkterna från fyra olika underröjningsbehandlingar, oröjd, siktröjt, röjt allt upp till 5 cm i brösthöjd och röjt allt upp till 7 cm i brösthöjd. Behandlingen oröjd gav det bästa nettot och sämst hade upp till 5 cm efter gallring och uttransport av virke. Phytocoenoses sensitively respond to changes of ecological regimes and objectively reflect changes in the structure of ecosystems at different levels of organisation.The aim of the research was to estimate the condition of vegetation of the foresr ecosystem of the protected area "Borzhava" at the ecosystem level by gradient of recreational transformation.The River Borzhava flows in the protected area and is a favourite place of rest; it starts on the south-west slope of Borzhava meadows, which are located on the Polonynskii ridge.The comparative estimation of the ecological profile areas showed that with approach to the River Borzhava the territory of the protected area becomes more attractive for tourists and is subjected to more intensive recrearional impact. On the whole the analysis showed that dependence of plants on the edaphotope conditions undergoes the greatesr changes, which is caused by different degree of recreational load on phytocoenoses. By the gradient of recreational transformation of the ecoprofile increased contribution of euribionts and hemi-euribionts in the formation of the grass cover on the most transformed sites was detected.It was detected that peculiarities of change of the grass layer of the forest ecosystem of the protected area is characterised by processes of reduction of the level of the soil moistening and increase of the level of illumination under the stand shed on the most degraded sites.It was shown that recreational changes of ecological regimes condition change of the species composition of the grass cover and domination of the species which are more tolerant to transformed forest conditions.The performed analysis at the synecological level testifies that local recreational impact on the forest ecosystem of the protected area results in certain disruption of the integrity and structure of vegetation, reduction of ecological role of the forest in the floodplain., На основе методов фитоиндикации на экосистемном уровне охарактеризованы последствия воздействия рекреационной деятельности на растительный покров в заповедном урочище «Боржава» Закарпатской низменной области. Установлено, что растительный покров чувствительно реагирует на изменения экологических факторов, отражая эмерджентный характер свойств лесной экосистемы по градиенту рекреационной трансформации., На основі методів фітоіндикації на екосистемному рівні охарактеризовано наслідки впливу рекреаційної діяльності на рослинний покрив в заповідному урочищі «Боржава» Закарпатської низовинної області. Встановлено, що рослинний покрив чутливо реагує на зміну екологічних чинників і відбиває емерджентний характер змін властивостей лісової екосистеми за градієнтом рекреагенної трансформації.

Le genre Psychotria est le plus vaste de la famille des Rubiaceae, avec plusieurs centaines d’espèces répandues dans toutes les régions tropicales humides. Les Psychotria sont principalement des arbustes (quelques-uns sont lianescents, herbacés ou arborescents) et entrent souvent pour une part importante dans la composition des sous-bois tropicaux. Certains montrent des adaptations remarquables comme la symbiose bactérienne foliaire ou l’accumulation d’humus. En raison de sa taille et des difficultés d’identifications, ce genre reste mal connu, notamment en Afrique occidentale et centrale où il n’a fait l’objet d’aucun travail d’ensemble depuis les années 1960.Le présent travail a pour objectifs :1) la révision taxonomique du genre Psychotria pour l’Afrique occidentale et centrale; 2) une étude phylogénétique du genre, visant à reconstituer son évolution et améliorer la classification infragénérique ;et 3) une étude biogéographique régionale de ce groupe, afin de définir des centres de diversité et d'endémisme.Notre travail de taxonomie, fondé sur l’examen des spécimens d’herbier et sur des missions de terrain au Cameroun et au Gabon, nous a conduit à reconnaître l’existence de 232 espèces en Afrique occidentale et centrale, ce qui fait de Psychotria le plus vaste genre de plantes dans cette région. Parmi ces espèces, 78 sont nouvelles.Nos travaux phylogénétiques, basés sur l’étude de deux marqueurs nucléaires (ITS et ETS) et quatre chloroplastiques (rps16, trnG, matK et rbcLa), montrent que la classification de Petit (1964, 1966) est largement à revoir. Il apparaît notamment que les deux sous-genres (Psychotria et Tetramerae) reconnus en Afrique, et fondés sur la présence ou l’absence de nodules bactériens foliaires, ne sont pas monophylétiques, certaines espèces ayant secondairement perdu leurs nodules. Different eucalyptus species have an ability to grow in a wide range of ecological conditions and are found almost all over the world, mostly in tropical and subtropical countries. Small scale farmers in least developing countries plant eucalyptus widely compared to other tree species. Hence, the aim of this study was to contribute to the pros and cons of eucalyptus in different regions. Eucalypts have several important qualities for the smallholders; they are easy to establish even on degraded land and easy to manage, and have few natural enemies, a wide ecological range, good survival, high growth rate, many important uses and a reliable source of cash income. The use of eucalypt is environmentally controversial; it is difficult to prove that the genus has particular negative effects compared to other common fast growing plantation species. It was further found that eucalypts have specific economic advantages for the smallholders; a stable and accessible market even in remote areas, produce high value particularly on small densely planted woodlots and give an early return on investment compared to other plantation species resulting in a more even cash flow. Thus, eucalyptus hold obvious potentials to contribute to poverty alleviate among smallholders.

The Swedish deciduous forest has been actively replaced by coniferous forest during the last two hundred years. In Färna Ekopark, Västmanland, this trend is being reversed by restorations of deciduous forests through the removal of coniferous trees in mixed forests. This field study investigates how successful these restorations have been for plant diversity and how they were affected by past grazing and the proportion of similar mixed and deciduous forest habitats in thesurrounding landscape. Plant species richness was investigated in 370 1m2-plots distributed over 37 sample areas and the surrounding landscape analyzed in a GIS. Results show that a few years after restoration there was higher plant species richness and lower homogenization, at the site scale, compared to the controls. When the restored sites were divided into two subgroups dependant on age, the 5-6 year old restoration displayed higher plot richness than the 2-4 year old restorations, but were also more homogeneous. Past grazing showed a generally positive effect on plant diversity, and these areas also responded with a larger increase of plant species richness and less homogenous plant populations after restorations compared to areas that had not been formerly grazed. The proportion of similar deciduous and mixed forest habitats (more than 40 % deciduous trees) inthe surrounding landscape showed no effect on the plant diversity of deciduous forests in general, though it did display a weak influence over the plot richness of restored deciduous forests without a history of grazing. When restoring deciduous forests to increase plant diversity it would therefore appear wise to focuson the formerly grazed deciduous forests. Röjning är en skötselåtgärd som påverkar det framtida beståndets utveckling och skördeutfall. Olika och delvis motstridiga mål måste beaktas vid röjningstillfället. I praktiken blir många bestånd röjda mer än en gång. En orsak till upprepad röjning är att det kan uppstå behov av förnyad lövröjning när stubbskott har vuxit ifatt barrträden. Röjningens utförande kan också påverka nästa skötselåtgärd, dvs. gallringen. Stubbskott och annan underväxt påverkar skördarens prestation i gallring och en hög förekomst av underväxt medför också att en del av virkesproduktionen förs över till fel stammar. Därför är det vanligt med s.k. underväxtröjning i samband med gallring. Syftet med arbetet var att ta reda på i vilken omfattning stubbskottsbjörk och övrig underväxt förekommer i röjda etablerade ungskogsbestånd på olika ståndortsindex samt hur förekomsten varierar beroende på beståndets höjd och stamtäthet vid första röjningstillfället. Utifrån detta skulle studien ur kostnads- och kvalitetssynpunkt ange vilka beståndstyper som kräver ytterligare en röjning/underväxtröjning före gallring, samt kvantifiera vilket potentiellt värde som underväxtstammar har om de istället tas ut som ett biobränslesortiment. Målet med arbetet var att skapa ett kunskapsunderlag som kan användas för beslut om underväxtröjning inför första gallring. Bestånd som hade röjts en gång söktes i Holmens Skogs beståndsregister för att kunna göra en uppdelning; i två klasser för ståndortsindex (SI), två stamtäthetsklasser och två klasser för röjningstidpunkt. Bestånden var dominerade av tall (Pinus sylvestris), planterade, 8-12 m höga och belägna i Västerbotten, Ångermanland och Lappland. Dessutom inventerades ett antal bestånd som röjts vid två tillfällen. Fältstudien utfördes som en objektiv cirkelyteinventering med slumpmässig start. På varje objekt lades 5-10 cirkelprovytor (100 m²) ut. Förekomsten av gran- respektive björkunderväxtstammar var signifikant högre på SI 22-24 jämfört med SI 19-21. På SI 19, Pre-commercial thinning (PCT: often referred to as cleaning) is a silvicultural treatment that affects the future development of the stand and the future harvest outcome. Different and partly contradictory goals have to be considered by the time of PCT. In practice many stands are cleaned more than once. One reason for repeated thinning is the need for cleaning deciduous trees when birch sprouts has grown into the same height as the conifer trees. The PCT can also affect the next silvicultural treatment, i.e. the first thinning. Stump sprouts and other undergrowth also affects the performance of the harvester in thinning, thus it is common with so called undergrowth cleaning immediately before thinning. The purpose of the study was to find out to what extent stump sprouts and other undergrowth is present in stands already subjected to PCT. For different site index (SI) the effects of PCT timing (tree height) and stem density at the time of first PCT were studied. Economical and quality aspects were addressed as well. Also, the potential value of PCT-stems as energy wood was quantified. The overall objective was to create a knowledge base to be used for decision making concerning undergrowth cleaning before first thinning. Stands were searched for in Holmen Skog’s stand directory. Two classes of site index, stem density and timing of PCT, respectively, were combined. The stands were dominated by Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), planted, 8-12 meter of height and situated in Västerbotten, Ångermanland or Lapland. Furthermore, a number of stands that had been subjected to PCT twice were inventoried as well. The circle plot inventory was made with a random starting point. In every stand 5-10 plots (100 m²) were distributed. The number of spruce and birch undergrowth stems/ha was significantly higher on SI 22-24 in comparison with SI 19-22.
