A descriptive method design was used by the researchers to complete the study. The proponent selected forty (40) students from 1st year to 4th-year level, Ages 18-28 years old, in Bachelor of Physical Education at Bestlink College of the Philippines who have experienced challenges while working and responded to the survey questionnaire related to our study. The results identified that the BPED working students who can attend lectures obtained the highest mean of 3.725 with an equivalent interpretation of always response.  While getting a good score on the test, I got the lowest mean of 3.05 with some responses.  Lastly, the problems encountered by BPED working students in terms of financial problems are that they are working to support their personal needs, with the highest mean of 3.725, while working to support their family got the lowest mean of 3.45. Based on the results of the study, the challenges that can affect the performance of the BPED working students based on attendance are being able to attend class regularly with the highest mean of 3.75, while being able to attend school programs got the lowest mean of 3.25. Lastly, based on the school activities, being able to come to film shows got first place on the ranking with the highest mean of 3.25, while being able to join clubs and other organizations had the lowest mean of 2.825. The analysis shows that the BPED working students are affected in coping with the new normal learning to help in continuing to study, learn to manage their time, and learn to make decisions wisely got the highest mean of 3.825 with an equivalent interpretation of always response. While it develops their communication skills, it got the lowest mean of 3.75.  It shows that the students are gaining experience from working while studying. Moreover, the study shows that the effective ways to overcome the challenges and problems they encounter are through good time management and self-reflection so that they can hand

Viral hepatitis remains one of the largest public health concerns worldwide. Especially in Central Africa, information on hepatitis virus infections has been limited, although the prevalence in this region has been reported to be higher than the global average. To reveal the current status of hepatitis B and C virus (HBV and HCV) infections and the genetic diversity of the viruses, we conducted longitudinal surveillance in Gabon. We detected 22 HBV and 9 HCV infections in 2047 patients with febrile illness. Genetic analyses of HBV identified subgenotype A1 for the first time in Gabon and an insertion generating a frameshift to create an X-preC/C fusion protein. We also revealed that most of the detected HCVs belonged to the “Gabon-specific” HCV subtype 4e (HCV-4e), and the entire nucleotide sequence of the HCV-4e polyprotein was determined to establish the first reference sequence. The HCV-4e strains possessed resistance-associated substitutions similar to those of other HCV-4 strains, indicating that the use of direct-acting antiviral therapy may be complex. These results provide a better understanding of the current situation of hepatitis B and C virus infections in Central Africa and will help public health organizations develop effective countermeasures to eliminate chronic viral hepatitis in this region., Microorganisms, 11(8), art. no. 2046; 2023

Infrastructure professionals (N = 261) were randomly assigned to either a future or present-framed project description and asked to recommend design attributes for an infrastructure project. The future-framed condition led professionals to propose a significantly longer infrastructure design life, useful life to the community, and acceptable return on financial investment. The findings suggest a straightforward and inexpensive way to lessen present bias in various design contexts

Several arenaviruses are highly pathogenic to humans, causing hemorrhagic fever. Discovery of anti-arenavirus drug candidates is urgently needed, although the molecular basis of the host- and organ-specific pathogenicity remains to be fully elucidated. The arenavirus Z protein facilitates production of virus-like particles (VLPs), providing an established method to assess virus budding. In this study, we examined the efficiency of VLP production by solely expressing Z protein of several different arenaviruses. In addition, we analyzed the role of the late (L)-domain of the arenavirus Z protein, which is essential for the interaction with ESCRT proteins, in VLP production among different cell lines. VLP assay was performed using Z proteins of Junin virus (JUNV), Machupo virus (MACV), Tacaribe virus (TCRV), Latino virus (LATV), Pichinde virus (PICV), and Lassa virus (LASV) in six different cell lines: HEK293T, Huh-7, A549, Vero76, BHK-21, and NIH3T3 cells. JUNV, MACV, and LASV Z proteins efficiently produced VLPs in all tested cell lines, while the efficiencies of VLP production by the other arenavirus Z proteins were cell type-dependent. The contribution of the L-domain(s) within Z protein to VLP production also highly depended on the cell type. Regions of the United States continue to experience an increase in zoonotic diseases. White-tailed deer support tick populations and implicated the emergence of several tick-borne diseases. Urbanization has elicited a dramatic increase in white-tailed deer populations. Consequently, the rise in deer numbers close to suburban areas has placed the public at increased risk of contracting disease. This study is part of an USDA-supported tick control project in Howard County, Maryland. The objectives were to 1) evaluate capture methods and provide recommendations for suburban trapping programs; and 2) evaluate spatial and temporal movement patterns and resulting impacts on risk of exposure to ticks. We found trapping deer in urbanized parks, during cold and snowy weather likely increased success. Different patterns in movement and space use of residential land can have important implications for humans’ risk of exposure to disease, with females deer posing higher risk than males especially during winter months.

Background: The dynamics of helminth infection in African elephant populations are poorly known. We examined the efects of age, sex, social structure and the normalized diference vegetation index (NDVI) as primary drivers of infection patterns within and between elephant populations. Methods: Coprological methods were used to identify helminths and determine infection patterns in distinct elephant populations in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Tsavo East National Park, Amboseli National Park and LaikipiaSamburu Ecosystem. Gaussian fnite mixture cluster analyses of egg dimensions were used to classify helminth eggs according to genera. Generalized linear models (GLM) and Chi-square analyses were used to test for variation in helminth infection patterns and to identify drivers in elephant populations. Results: Helminth prevalence varied signifcantly between the studied populations. Nematode prevalence (96.3%) was over twice as high as that of trematodes (39.1%) in elephants. Trematode prevalence but not nematode prevalence varied between populations. Although we found no associations between helminth infection and elephant social groups (male vs family groups), the median helminth egg output (eggs per gram, epg) did vary between social groups: family groups had signifcantly higher median epg than solitary males or males in bachelor groups. Young males in mixed sex family groups had lower epg than females when controlling for population and age; these differences, however, were not statistically signifcant. The average NDVI over a three-month period varied between study locations. Cluster analyses based on egg measurements revealed the presence of Protofasciola sp., Brumptia sp., Murshidia sp., Quilonia sp. and Mammomonogamus sp. GLM analyses showed that the mean epg was positively infuenced by a three-month cumulative mean NDVI and by social group; female social groups had higher epg than male groups. Low-frequency (80-240 MHz) radio observations of the solar corona are presented using the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA), and several discoveries are reported. The corona is reviewed, followed by chapters on Type III bursts and circularly-polarized quiescent emission. The second chapter details new Type III burst dynamics. One source component at higher frequencies splits into two at lower frequencies, where the two components rapidly diverge. This is attributed to electron beams traversing a divergent magnetic field configuration, which is supported by extreme ultraviolet jet observations outlining a coronal null point. The third chapter uses Type III burst heights as density probes. Harmonic plasma emission implies ~4x enhancements over background models. This can be explained by electron beams traveling along dense fibers or by propagation effects that elevate apparent source heights. The quiescent corona is compared to model predictions to conclude that propagation effects can largely but not entirely explain the apparent density enhancements. The fourth chapter surveys over 100 spectropolarimetric observing runs. Around 700 compact sources are detected with polarization fractions from less than 0.5% to nearly 100%. They are interpreted as plasma emission noise storm sources down to levels not previously observable. A "bullseye" structure is reported for coronal holes, where an outer ring surrounds an oppositely-polarized central component that does not match the sign expected of thermal bremsstrahlung. The large-scale polarization structure is shown to be well-correlated with that of a global magnetic field model. The last chapter summarizes results and outlines future work. We present spectropolarimetric imaging observations of the solar corona at low frequencies (80 - 240 MHz) using the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA). These images are the first of their kind, and we introduce an algorithm to mitigate an instrumental artefact by which the total intensity signal contaminates the polarimetric images due to calibration errors. We then survey the range of circular polarization (Stokes V) features detected in over 100 observing runs near solar maximum during quiescent periods. First, we detect around 700 compact polarized sources across our dataset with polarization fractions ranging from less than 0.5% to nearly 100%. These sources exhibit a positive correlation between polarization fraction and total intensity, and we interpret them as a continuum of plasma emission noise storm (Type I burst) continua sources associated with active regions. Objectives: Dengue outbreaks, mainly caused by dengue virus serotype 2 (DENV-2), occurred in 2007 and in 2010 in Gabon, Central Africa. However, information on DENV infections has been insufficient since 2010. The aim of this study was to investigate the current DENV infection scenario and the risk of repeated infections in Gabon. Methods: During 2015?2017, serum samples were collected from enrolled febrile participants and were tested for DENV infection using RT-qPCR. DENV-positive samples were analyzed for a history of previous DENV infection(s) using ELISA. The complete DENV genome was sequenced to analyze the phylogeny of Gabonese DENV strains. Results: DENV-3 was exclusively detected, with a high rate of anti-DENV IgG seropositivity among DENV-3-positive participants. DENV-3 showed higher infection rates in adults and the infection was seasonal with peaks in the rainy seasons. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that Gabonese DENV-3 originated from West African strains and has been circulating continuously in Gabon since at least 2010, when the first DENV-3 case was reported. Low-frequency (80-240 MHz) radio observations of the solar corona are presented using the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA), and several discoveries are reported. The corona is reviewed, followed by chapters on Type III bursts and circularly-polarized quiescent emission. The second chapter details new Type III burst dynamics. One source component at higher frequencies splits into two at lower frequencies, where the two components rapidly diverge. This is attributed to electron beams traversing a divergent magnetic field configuration, which is supported by extreme ultraviolet jet observations outlining a coronal null point. The third chapter uses Type III burst heights as density probes. Harmonic plasma emission implies ~4x enhancements over background models. This can be explained by electron beams traveling along dense fibers or by propagation effects that elevate apparent source heights. The quiescent corona is compared to model predictions to conclude that propagation effects can largely but not entirely explain the apparent density enhancements. The fourth chapter surveys over 100 spectropolarimetric observing runs. Around 700 compact sources are detected with polarization fractions from less than 0.5% to nearly 100%. They are interpreted as plasma emission noise storm sources down to levels not previously observable. A "bullseye" structure is reported for coronal holes, where an outer ring surrounds an oppositely-polarized central component that does not match the sign expected of thermal bremsstrahlung. We present spectropolarimetric imaging observations of the solar corona at low frequencies (80 - 240 MHz) using the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA). These images are the first of their kind, and we introduce an algorithm to mitigate an instrumental artefact by which the total intensity signal contaminates the polarimetric images due to calibration errors. We then survey the range of circular polarization (Stokes V) features detected in over 100 observing runs near solar maximum during quiescent periods. First, we detect around 700 compact polarized sources across our dataset with polarization fractions ranging from less than 0.5% to nearly 100%. These sources exhibit a positive correlation between polarization fraction and total intensity, and we interpret them as a continuum of plasma emission noise storm (Type I burst) continua sources associated with active regions. Using a 45 min sequence of SDO/HMI 135 s fast-cadence vector magnetograms of the X1 flare on 2014-03-29 we construct, at each timestep, nonlinear force-free models for the coronal magnetic field. Observed flare-related changes in the line-of-sight magnetic field $B_{\rm LOS}$ at the photosphere and chromosphere are compared with changes in the magnetic fields in the models. We find a moderate agreement at the photospheric layer (the basis for the models), but no agreement at chromospheric layers. The observed changes at the photosphere and chromosphere are surprisingly different, and are unlikely to be reproduced by a force-free model. Derivation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) from human pluripotent stem cells remains a key goal for the fields of developmental biology and regenerative medicine. Here, we use a novel genetic reporter system to prospectively identify and isolate early hematopoietic cells derived from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and human induced pluripotent cells (iPSCs). Cloning the human RUNX1c P1 promoter and +24 enhancer to drive expression of tdTomato (tdTom) in hESCs and iPSCs, we demonstrate that tdTom expression faithfully enriches for RUNX1c-expressing hematopoietic progenitor cells. Time-lapse microscopy demonstrated the tdTom(+) hematopoietic cells to emerge from adherent cells. Furthermore, inhibition of primitive hematopoiesis by blocking Activin/Nodal signaling promoted the expansion and/or survival of the tdTom(+) population. Notably, RUNX1c/tdTom(+) cells represent only a limited subpopulation of the CD34(+) CD45(+) and CD34(+) CD43(+) cells with a unique genetic signature. Using gene array analysis, we find significantly lower expression of Let-7 and mir181a microRNAs in the RUNX1c/tdTom(+) cell population. These phenotypic and genetic analyses comparing the RUNX1c/tdTom(+) population to CD34(+) CD45(+) umbilical cord blood and fetal liver demonstrate several key differences that likely impact the development of HSCs capable of long-term multilineage engraftment from hESCs and iPSCs.

To evaluate hematopoietic niche cell populations isolated from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs), we tested the ability of hESC-derived stromal lines to support CD34(+) umbilical cord blood (UCB)- and hESC-derived CD34(+)45(+) cells in long-term culture initiating cell (LTC-IC) assays. Specifically, these hematopoietic populations were cocultured with hESC-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (hESC-MSCs) and hESC-derived endothelial cells (hESC-ECs), and then assessed for their LTC-IC potential in comparison to coculture with bone marrow (BM)-derived MSCs and the mouse stromal line M2-10B4. We found that the hESC-derived stromal lines supported LTC-ICs from UCB similar to M2-10B4 cells and better than BM-MSCs. However, none of the stromal populations supported LTC-IC from hESC-derived CD34(+)45(+) cells. Engraftment data using the output from LTC-IC assays showed long-term repopulation (12 weeks) of NSG mice to correlate with LTC-IC support on a given stromal layer. Therefore, hESC-derived stromal lines can be used to efficiently evaluate putative hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells derived from hESCs or other cell sources.

Persistence mapping of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) jets observed by the Solar Dynamics Observatory reveals quasi-separatrix layers (QSLs) associated with coronal null points, including separatrix dome, spine, and curtain structures. Electrons are accelerated at the flare site toward an open QSL, where the beams follow diverging field lines to produce the source splitting, with larger separations at larger heights (lower frequencies). The splitting motion within individual frequency bands is interpreted as a projected time-of-flight effect, whereby electrons traveling along the outer field lines take slightly longer to excite emission at adjacent positions. Given this interpretation, we estimate an average beam speed of 0.2 c. We also qualitatively describe the quiescent corona, noting in particular that a disk-center coronal hole transitions from being dark at higher frequencies to bright at lower frequencies, turning over around 120 MHz. The end-Ordovician has received wide attention because it hosts major global events including mass extinctions, glaciations, significant sea-level fluctuations, and large-scale perturbations of the Earth's carbon cycle. Knowing the order and timing of these events and their components is crucial for understanding these environmental changes. Here, we use stable carbon isotope stratigraphy in combination with chitinozoan biostratigraphy to correlate the Upper Ordovician Belonechitina gamachiana chitinozoan Biozone. Its position has long been a matter of debate; some argue that it is of late Katian age and others that it is of early Hirnantian age. The Skogerholmen Formation from the Oslo-Asker District in Norway has been correlated with the lower-middle Pirgu Baltic Stage, hitherto believed to correspond to the international upper Katian Stage. Our study, however, reveals the presence of B. gamachiana, diagnostic of the eponymous Biozone, in the descending trend of a modest carbon isotope excursion in the lower part of this formation. This is strikingly similar to data from coeval end-Ordovician sections in North America, where the prevailing evidence suggests an early Hirnantian age for the B. gamachiana chitinozoan Biozone. This new correlation suggests that the lower Hirnantian boundary may be positioned within the Pirgu Baltic Stage.

Very little is known about the influence of massive and long distance migration on parasite epidemiology. Migration can simultaneously minimize exposure to common parasites in their habitats and increase exposure to novel pathogens from new environments and habitats encountered during migration, while physiological stress during long distance movement can lead to immune suppression, which makes migrants vulnerable to parasites. In this paper, we investigated the diversity, prevalence, parasite load, co-infection patterns and predilection sites of adult gastrointestinal helminths in 130 migrating wildebeests and tested for their relation with animal age, sex and migration time (which also could indicate different migration routes), and compared them with the non-migratory wildebeest. Surprisingly, only four parasite species were found, Oesophagostomum columbianum, Haemonchus placei, Calicophoron raja and Moniezia expansa, which were lower than in non-migratory wildebeest reported in the literature. These parasites were generalists, infecting livestock, and suggests that wildebeest and livestock, because of their interaction during migration, have a cross-infection risk. There was a negative relation between parasites diversity, prevalence and intensity of infection, and host age, which suggests that wildebeests acquire protective immunity against these parasites as they get older. Prevalence and intensity of infection were higher among wildebeest crossing the Mara Bridge (early migrants) compared to those crossing the Serena (late migrants), which suggests that early migrants (or migrants originating from different areas) have varying infection intensities. The prevalence and intensity of infection were higher in males compared to females and may be due to ecological, behavioural, or physiological differences between males and females. Since the identification of RVF in Kenya in the 1930s, repeated epizootics and epidemics coinciding with El Niño events have occurred in several locations in Africa and Saudi Arabia, causing mass deaths of livestock and humans. RVF is of great interest worldwide because of its negative effect on international livestock trade and its potential to spread globally. The latter is due to the increasing incidence of extreme climatic phenomena caused by global warming, as well as to the increase in global trade and international travel. How RVF is maintained and sustained between epidemics and epizootics is not clearly understood, but it has been speculated that wildlife reservoirs and trans-ovarian transmission in the vector may be important. Several studies have examined the role of wildlife and livestock in isolation or in a limited geographical location within the one country over a short time (usually less than a year). In this study, we examined the seroprevalence of anti-RVF antibodies in cattle and several wildlife species from several locations in Kenya over an inter-epidemic period spanning up to 7 years. METHODS: A serological survey of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies to RVF using competitive ELISA was undertaken on 297 serum samples from different wildlife species at various locations in Kenya. BACKGROUND: Rift Valley fever (RVF) is a fatal arthropod-borne zoonotic disease of livestock and humans. Since the identification of RVF in Kenya in the 1930s, repeated epizootics and epidemics coinciding with El Niño events have occurred in several locations in Africa and Saudi Arabia, causing mass deaths of livestock and humans. RVF is of great interest worldwide because of its negative effect on international livestock trade and its potential to spread globally. The latter is due to the increasing incidence of extreme climatic phenomena caused by global warming, as well as to the increase in global trade and international travel. How RVF is maintained and sustained between epidemics and epizootics is not clearly understood, but it has been speculated that wildlife reservoirs and trans-ovarian transmission in the vector may be important. Several studies have examined the role of wildlife and livestock in isolation or in a limited geographical location within the one country over a short time (usually less than a year). In this study, we examined the seroprevalence of anti-RVF antibodies in cattle and several wildlife species from several locations in Kenya over an inter-epidemic period spanning up to 7 years. METHODS: A serological survey of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies to RVF using competitive ELISA was undertaken on 297 serum samples from different wildlife species at various locations in Kenya. The samples were collected between 2008 and 2015. Serum was also collected in 2014 from 177 cattle from Ol Pejeta Conservancy; 113 of the cattle were in close contact with wildlife and the other 64 were kept separate from buffalo and large game by an electric fence. RESULTS: The seroprevalence of RVF virus (RVFV) antibody was 11.6% in wildlife species during the study period. We present an investigation of the polar crown prominence that erupted on 2012 March 12. This prominence is observed at the southeast limb by SDO/AIA (end-on view) and displays a quasi vertical-thread structure. Bright U-shape/horn-like structure is observed surrounding the upper portion of the prominence at 171 angstrom before the eruption and becomes more prominent during the eruption. The disk view of STEREO-B shows that this long prominence is composed of a series of vertical threads and displays a half loop-like structure during the eruption. We focus on the magnetic support of the prominence vertical threads by studying the structure and dynamics of the prominence before and during the eruption using observations from SDO and STEREO-B. We also construct a series of magnetic field models (sheared arcade model, twisted flux rope model, and unstable model with hyperbolic flux tube (HFT)). Various observational characteristics appear to be in favor of the twisted flux rope model. We find that the flux rope supporting the prominence enters the regime of torus instability at the onset of the fast rise phase, and signatures of reconnection (post-eruption arcade, new U-shape structure, rising blobs) appear about one hour later. During the eruption, AIA observes dark ribbons seen in absorption at 171 angstrom corresponding to the bright ribbons shown at 304 angstrom, which might be caused by the erupting filament material falling back along the newly reconfigured magnetic fields. Brightenings at the inner edge of the erupting prominence arcade are also observed in all AIA EUV channels, which might be caused by the heating due to energy released from reconnection below the rising prominence., Comment: 2015, ApJ, accepted

We examine a small prominence eruption that occurred on 2014 May 1 at 01:35 UT and was observed by the Interface Region Imaging Spectrometer (IRIS) and the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) on the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). Pre- and post-eruption images were taken by the X-Ray Telescope (XRT) on Hinode. Pre-eruption, a dome-like structure exists above the prominence, as demarcated by coronal rain. As the eruption progresses, we find evidence for reconnection between the prominence magnetic field and the overlying field. Fast flows are seen in AIA and IRIS, indicating reconnection outflows. Plane-of-sky flows of ~300 km s$^{-1}$ are observed in the AIA 171 A channel along a potentially reconnected field line. IRIS detects intermittent fast line-of-sight flows of ~200 km s$^{-1}$ coincident with the AIA flows. Differential emission measure calculations show heating at the origin of the fast flows. Post-eruption XRT images show hot loops probably due to reconfiguration of magnetic fields during the eruption and subsequent heating of plasma in these loops. Although there is evidence for reconnection above the prominence during the eruption, high spatial resolution images from IRIS reveal potential reconnection sites below the prominence. A height-time analysis of the erupting prominence shows a slow initial rise with a velocity of ~0.4 km s$^{-1}$ followed by a rapid acceleration with a final velocity of ~250 km s$^{-1}$. Brightenings in IRIS during the transition between these two phases indicate the eruption trigger for the fast part of the eruption is likely a tether-cutting mechanism rather than a break-out mechanism., Comment: 13 pages, 10 figures

We present a statistical study of prominence and filament eruptions observed by the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) aboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). Several properties are recorded for 904 events that were culled from the Heliophysics Event Knowledgebase (HEK) and incorporated into an online catalog for general use. These characteristics include the filament and eruption type, eruption symmetry and direction, apparent twisting and writhing motions, and the presence of vertical threads and coronal cavities. Associated flares and white-light coronal mass ejections (CME) are also recorded. Total rates are given for each property along with how they differ among filament types. We also examine the kinematics of 106 limb events to characterize the distinct slow- and fast-rise phases often exhibited by filament eruptions. The average fast-rise onset height, slow-rise duration, slow-rise velocity, maximum field-of-view (FOV) velocity, and maximum FOV acceleration are 83 Mm, 4.4 hours, 2.1 km/s, 106 km/s, and 111 m/s^2, respectively. All parameters exhibit lognormal probability distributions similar to that of CME speeds. A positive correlation between latitude and fast-rise onset height is found, which we attribute to a corresponding negative correlation in the average vertical magnetic field gradient, or decay index, estimated from potential field source surface (PFSS) extrapolations. We also find the decay index at the fast-rise onset point to be 1.1 on average, consistent with the critical instability threshold theorized for straight current channels. Finally, we explore relationships between the derived kinematics properties and apparent twisting motions. We find that events with evident twist have significantly faster CME speeds and significantly lower fast-rise onset heights, suggesting relationships between these values and flux rope helicity., Comment: Accepted by Solar Physics; 40 pages, 20 figures, 5 tables

Sustainability of the environment is one of the major problems facing African people, most especially Nigerians. It is unfortunate that women, by the nature of their daily activities of managing the homes and families are in touch with nature and environment and are at greater risk of health hazards and foetal damage. This paper focuses on the type of education that women need to instill in them knowledge and skills for handling environmental problems. The paper concludes with some recommendations that environmental courses, clubs, training and retraining of teachers, networking with NGOs on environmental education for sustainability should be implemented. The study aimed at examining the efficacy of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in enhancing learning outcomes of students with hearing impairment in Ibadan. The study adopted a pretest, post-test, control group quasi-experimental research design. Purposive sampling techniques was used for the selection of thirty participants comprising of (15 males and 15 females) used for the study. The instrument used in carrying out the study was Economics Achievement Test (EAT) with reliability coefficient of 0.72. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analyse the null hypothesis generated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The result showed that there is a significant main effect of ICT on the participants’ learning outcomes in economics. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended among others that teachers should utilize ICT during teaching learning process in the classroom and also go for in-service training to update their knowledge on the best way of handling ICT facilities to impact knowledge.
