Over the years, thanks to scientific advances that have made it possible to make known multiple disorders, which remained unknown, and that were summarized in a definition of "mental retardation", the development of more effective techniques has been obtained in order to respond to emerging educational needs, which is why educators and specialists have focused on the design of adaptations or what is currently known as "reasonable accommodations" to the curriculum, activities, as well as assessment measures in order to make the variety of content accessible to the diversity of students. The objective of this research is to focus attention on the development of evaluation criteria according to the skills demonstrated, as well as to achieve the understanding, design and successful implementation of reasonable accommodations in students with attention deficit disorders, however, it does not seek to generalize in the attention to students, since this is intervened by multiple factors, such as the family, school and social context in which it is developed, as well as the work of the various educational agents, and of course, the rhythms and learning styles of the student., A lo largo de los años, gracias a los avances científicos que han permitido dar a conocer múltiples trastornos, que se mantenían de carácter desconocido, y que se resumían a una definición de “retraso mental”, se ha obtenido el desarrollo de técnicas más eficaces con el objetivo de dar respuesta a las necesidades educativas que van surgiendo, es por eso que, educadores y especialistas se han enfocado en el diseño de adecuaciones o lo actualmente conocido como “ajustes razonables” al currículo, actividades, así como a las medidas de evaluación con la finalidad de hacer que la variedad de contenidos sea accesible a la diversidad de alumnos. El objetivo de esta investigación es focalizar la atención en el desarrollo de los criterios de evaluación acordes a las habilidades demostradas, así como alcanzar la comprensión, el diseño y la acertada implementación de ajustes razonables en los estudiantes con trastornos por déficit de atención, sin embargo, no se busca generalizar en la atención a los educandos, ya que esta se ve intervenida por múltiples factores, como lo son el contexto familiar, escolar y social en el que se desarrolla, así como la labor de los diversos agentes educativos, y por supuesto, los ritmos y estilos de aprendizaje propios del alumno.

This study was carried out under a bibliographic review model entitled Eccentric Exercises in the prevention of hamstring injuries in soccer players, within the Directorate of Physical Rehabilitation Health Research. Hamstring injuries are usually caused by overstretching of the tendon junction, with the biceps femoris being the most prone to injury. These injuries are usually caused by non- contact mechanisms due to the high intensity demands of the sport, they usually occur during the final oscillatory phase of the sprint. Being the most common diagnosis in soccer and characterized by a high recurrence rate, injury prevention programs such as eccentric training are required in this area. During the research, the collection of information was based on the demonstration of scientific attributes, and to obtain various sources of accurate information, reference scientific databases were used, such as: PubMed, Google Scholar, Scielo, Elsevier, Science Direct and others. materials of academic interest, through the analytical approach that evaluated each article by the PEDro scale, filtering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and thanks to this, 35 articles provided a solid evidence base due to their authenticity. Finally, after completing a compilation of scientific articles, the effectiveness of eccentric exercise in the prevention of hamstring injuries in soccer players was demonstrated, especially through the use of Nordic exercises for hamstrings. The results obtained in terms of resistance and its variables, for maximum eccentric exercise and H/Q ratio are not conclusive, Este estudio se llevó a cabo bajo un modelo de revisión bibliográfica titulada Ejercicios Excéntricos en la prevención de lesiones isquiotibiales en futbolistas, dentro de la Dirección de Investigación en Salud de Rehabilitación Física. Las lesiones del tendón de la corva generalmente son causadas por un estiramiento excesivo de la unión del tendón, siendo el bíceps femoral el más propenso a lesionarse. Estas lesiones suelen producirse por mecanismos de no contacto debido a las exigencias de alta intensidad del deporte, suelen ocurrir durante la fase oscilatoria final del sprint. Al ser el diagnóstico más común en el fútbol y caracterizado por una alta tasa de recurrencia, en esta área se requieren programas de prevención de lesiones como el entrenamiento excéntrico. Durante la investigación, la recopilación de información se basó en la demostración de atributos científicos, y para obtener diversas fuentes de información precisa, se utilizaron bases de datos científicas de referencia, como: PubMed, Google académico, Scielo, Elsevier, Science Direct y otros materiales de interés académico, mediante el enfoque analítico que evaluó cada artículo por la escala PEDro, filtrando los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, y gracias a ello, 35 artículos proporcionaron una base de evidencia sólida debido a su autenticidad. Finalmente, después de completar una recopilación de artículos científicos se demostró la efectividad del ejercicio excéntrico en la prevención de lesiones isquiotibiales en jugadores de fútbol, especialmente mediante el uso de ejercicios nórdicos para isquiotibiales. Los resultados obtenidos en cuanto a la resistencia y sus variables, para ejercicio excéntrico máximo y relación H/Q no son concluyentes.

AimTo assess, from a United States (US) payer's perspective, the cost-effectiveness of gels designed to separate the endometrial surfaces (intrauterine spacers) placed following intrauterine surgery.Materials and methodsA decision tree model was developed to estimate the cost-effectiveness of intrauterine spacers used to facilitate endometrial repair and prevent the formation (primary prevention) and reformation (secondary prevention) of intrauterine adhesions (IUAs) and associated pregnancy- and birth-related adverse outcomes. Event rates and costs were extrapolated from data available in the existing literature. Sensitivity analyses were conducted to corroborate the base case results.ResultsIn this model, using intrauterine spacers for adhesion prevention led to net cost savings for US payers of $2,905 per patient over a 3.5-year time horizon. These savings were driven by the direct benefit of preventing procedures associated with IUA formation ($2,162 net savings) and the indirect benefit of preventing pregnancy-related complications often associated with IUA formation ($3,002). These factors offset the incremental cost of intrauterine spacer use of $1,539 based on an assumed price of $1,800 and the related increase in normal deliveries of $931. Model outcomes were sensitive to the probability of preterm and normal deliveries. Budget impact analyses show overall cost savings of $19.96 per initial member within a US healthcare plan, translating to $20 million over a 5-year time horizon for a one-million-member plan.LimitationsThere are no available data on the effects of intrauterine spacers or IUAs on patients' quality of life. Yet few studies in the field have been able to identify genetic differences in deep roots and how this relates to N and water uptake. This study aimed to identify the relationship between deep roots and tolerance to drought, and how this varies by genotype and with differing N fertilization. Methods We grew 14 diverse genotypes of winter wheat in a semi-field facility in Denmark, in 2019 and 2020, with a soil depth gradient and a rain-out shelter to create a water stress. We used minirhizotron tubes reaching to 2.5 m depth to quantify differences in deep roots. We applied isotope tracers (15N and 2H labelled water) at 1.6-1.8 m at anthesis to assess differences in root function. Grain and straw 13C were used to assess drought stress. Results We found differences in deep roots between genotypes, and slightly less deep root growth when more N was applied. Deep roots were correlated with grain yield, uptake of deep-placed tracers of water and N, and tolerance to drought. Genotypes with deeper roots had the biggest decrease in water stress and increase in grain yield, when their roots had access to deeper soil. Dynamic error budgets are an essential tool in identifying opportunities for improvements in a control system for Gravitational Wave detectors, but their potential is often not fully utilized in the control design. This paper presents a model and dynamic error budget for a challenging nested control system in the Advanced Virgo detector in combination with a systematic control design framework for one of the controllers. This framework fully utilizes the dynamic error budget by using H2 synthesis to allow for fast iterations in the control design when dealing with conflicting control objectives. Simulations together with experimental results on Advanced Virgo illustrate the effectiveness of the presented framework.

Ronald Dworkin and H.L.A. Hart have held a long running debate on the foundations of law that half a century after its beginning, is still open among their followers. On the one hand, the sufficiency of law is proclaimed, on the other, the need for it to be justified by higher principles. This debate is of particular interest in the age of relativism, in which human beings are looking for answers to the questions that underpin the civilisation. In Spanish Law, and especially in Civil Law, a parallel controversy has developed simultaneously between two different ways of understanding Law, one based on the principle of legal certainty and the other on the supremacy of justice through general clauses. It is also an open debate, although both in the sphere of Common Law and in Spanish Law, positivism and legal certainty prevail over the notion of justice. Given the impossibility of closing these debates, this work ends with a proposal to seek alternative ways of guiding the application of the Law on the path towards justice., Ronald Dworkin y H.L.A. Es también un debate abierto, si bien tanto en el ámbito del Common Law, como en el Derecho español prima el positivismo y la seguridad jurídica sobre la noción de justicia. In the context of the Argentine reception of the writer and naturalist W. H. Hudson’s work, read from aesthetically and ideologically divergent sectors, the early recovery of his figure in the ornithological magazine El hornero will be investigated here. In the first place, we will try to recompose Hudson’s singular naturalistic exercise and observe how the heterogeneity of his interests dialogues with the multifaceted objectives of the Plata Ornithological Association, founder of El hornero. Second, we will consider the different strategies of translation and incorporation of his naturalistic articles, which are modified in relation to the changes experienced by Hudson’s reception in the national literary scene. We will notice a first interest that is more strictly ornithological (expressed in the addition of scientific notes and unpublished photographs) and secondly an expanded cultural interest that allows the magazine to participate in the tributes that increase around the Centenary of his birth in 1941., En el marco de la recepción argentina de la obra del escritor y naturalista W. H. Hudson, retomada desde sectores estética e ideológicamente divergentes, se indagará aquí la temprana recuperación de su figura en la revista ornitológica El hornero. En primer lugar, se intentará reponer el singular ejercicio naturalista ensayado por Hudson y observar cómo la heterogeneidad de sus intereses dialoga con las objetivos multifacéticos de la Sociedad Ornitológica del Plata, fundadora de El hornero. En segundo lugar, se abordarán las diferentes estrategias de traducción e incorporación de sus artículos naturalistas, que van modificándose en relación a los cambios experimentados por la recepción de Hudson en la escena literaria nacional, entre un primer interés más estrictamente ornitológico (a partir del agregado de notas científicas y de fotografías inéditas) hasta un interés cultural ampliado que le permite a la revista participar de los homenajes que se radicalizan en torno al Centenario de su nacimiento en 1941.

This article discusses the relationship between Literature and History, and it seeks to verify the implications between the world of forms as shown in the novels and in the world of the past, with the aim of contributing to a better knowledge of the Western sensibility about love and sexuality, as well as prejudices related to race and social class, in the backgrounds of both monarchical Brazil and early 20th-century England. The methodology applied brings together concepts from Veyne, Bann, Frye, Bosi, among others, on the use of fictional writers’ literary material by historians and vice versa. Two novels were studied: The Guarani, by Brasilian author José de Alencar, and The Virgin and the Gypsy, by British author D.H. Lawrence. The results obtained demonstrate that the authors' personality influenced the fictions they created within the circumstances and historical limits of the time in which they lived., Este artigo discute as relações entre Literatura e História, procurando verificar as implicações entre o mundo de formas existente nos romances e o mundo do passado, com o objetivo de contribuir para o conhecimento da sensibilidade ocidental sobre o amor e a sexualidade, bem como sobre preconceitos raciais e de classe nos cenários do Brasil Monárquico e da Inglaterra da primeira metade do século XX. A metodologia reúne conceitos de Veyne, Bann, Frye, Bosi, entre outros, sobre a utilização do material literário pela História e desta pela Literatura, tomando, por continente empírico, O Guarani, de José de Alencar, e The Virgin and the Gipsy, de D.H. Lawrence. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que a personalidade dos autores influenciou as ficções por eles criadas, nas circunstâncias e limites históricos das épocas em que viveram.

Background: First-line Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) treatments have been relatively well evaluated; however, it remains necessary to identify the most effective rescue treatments. Our aim was to assess the effectiveness and safety of H. pylori regimens containing rifabutin. METHODS: International multicentre prospective non-interventional European Registry on H. pylori Management (Hp-EuReg). Patients treated with rifabutin were registered in AEG-REDCap e-CRF from 2013 to 2021. Modified intention-to-treat and per-protocol analyses were performed. Data were subject to quality control. Results: Overall, 500 patients included in the Hp-EuReg were treated with rifabutin (mean age 52 years, 72% female, 63% with dyspepsia, 4% with peptic ulcer). Culture was performed in 63% of cases: dual resistance (to both clarithromycin and metronidazole) was reported in 46% of the cases, and triple resistance (to clarithromycin, metronidazole, and levofloxacin) in 39%. In 87% of cases rifabutin was utilised as part of a triple therapy together with amoxicillin and a proton-pump-inhibitor, and in an additional 6% of the patients, bismuth was added to this triple regimen. Rifabutin was mainly used in second-line (32%), third-line (25%), and fourth-line (27%) regimens, achieving overall 78%, 80% and 66% effectiveness by modified intention-to-treat, respectively. Compliance with treatment was 89%. At least one adverse event was registered in 26% of the patients (most frequently nausea), and one serious adverse event (0.2%) was reported in one patient with leukopenia and thrombocytopenia with fever requiring hospitalisation. Conclusion: Rifabutin-containing therapy represents an effective and safe strategy after one or even several failures of H. pylori eradication treatment.

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on improving the performance of education personnel at IBI Kesatuan. The variables used are loyalty and responsibility as independent variables, performance as the dependent variable and teamwork as the intervening variable. Quantitative data obtained from the questionnaire resulted as many as 58 (fifty eight) education personnel respondents at IBI Kesatuan, then the data was measured using Path Analysis through the SPSS v.22 program. Analysis of model 1 indicates that loyalty has a positive effect on teamwork, while responsibility does not have a positive effect on teamwork. From the analysis of model 2, it is found that loyalty has a positive and significant effect on performance, Responsibility has a positive and significant effect on performance, while Tteamwork has no significant effect on performance. However, simultaneously obtained the results that the influence of loyalty, responsibility and teamwork together give a very strong influence on performance.

The present paper seeks to offer a general interpretation of the philosophy of history of the Baden Neo-Kantianism. The traditional interpretation claims that the Neo-Kantian philosophy of history is an instance of the so called critical philosophy of history and that the interest of the Neo-Kantians was originated in the nineteenth century polemics regarding the methodology of human sciences. Against this interpretation, I state that this philosophy has its origins in internal problems of transcendental philosophy, specifically, in the problem of bridging the transcendental and concrete spheres., El presente trabajo intenta ofrecer una interpretación general de la filosofía de la historia en el neokantismo de Baden. La interpretación tradicional afirma que la filosofía de la historia neokantiana es una variante de la llamada filosofía crítica de la historia y que el interés de los neokantianos por la historia se origina en las polémicas decimonónicas en torno al método de las humanidades. Nuestra tesis, por el contrario, es que tal filosofía tiene su origen en problemas internos a la formulación de una filosofía transcendental, específicamente, en el problema de trazar un puente entre la esfera transcendental y la esfera concreta.

This paper demonstrates the influence of his essayÜber die Ideen der Alten vom Schicksal(1795) on Hegel’s understanding of the dialectics between imputation, destiny and punishment with particular reference to the Oedipus’s story. After presenting Gros and its role in the 18thcentury in Germany and after reconstructing the main arguments of his essay (1.), the second part of the paper focuses on Hegel’s understanding of Oedipus Rex, underlining differences and similarities with Gros’ reading of it (2). One-carbon (C1) compounds are promising feedstocks for the sustainable production of commodity chemicals. CO2 is a particularly advantageous C1-feedstock since it is an unwanted industrial off-gas that can be converted into valuable products while reducing its atmospheric levels. Acetogens are microorganisms that can grow on CO2/H2 gas mixtures and syngas converting these substrates into ethanol and acetate. Co-cultivation of acetogens with other microbial species that can further process such products, can expand the variety of products to, for example, medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) and longer chain alcohols. Solventogens are microorganisms known to produce MCFA and alcohols via the acetone-butanol-ethanol (ABE) fermentation in which acetate is a key metabolite. Thus, co-cultivation of an acetogen and a solventogen in a consortium provides a potential platform to produce valuable chemicals from CO2. In this study, metabolic modeling was implemented to design a new co-culture of an acetogen and a solventogen to produce butyrate from CO2/H2 mixtures. The model-driven approach suggested the ability of the studied solventogenic species to grow on lactate/glycerol with acetate as co-substrate. This ability was confirmed experimentally by cultivation of Clostridium beijerinckii on these substrates in batch serum bottles and subsequently in pH-controlled bioreactors. Community modeling also suggested that a novel microbial consortium consisting of the acetogen Clostridium autoethanogenum, and the solventogen C. beijerinckii would be feasible and stable. On the basis of this prediction, a co-culture was experimentally established. C. autoethanogenum grew on CO2/H2 producing acetate and traces of ethanol. Acetate was in turn, consumed by C. beijerinckii together with lactate, producing butyrate. The aim of this article is to analyze why the British novelist H. G. Wells (1866-1946) can be considered as the first great contemporary massifier of disturbing futures. To do this, in this work a historical genealogy of this concept in the Anglo-Saxon and European tradition will be made, to finally examine how this idea was represented in Wells's early narratives. Based on the study of various cultural artifacts, the purpose of this writing is to revalue the use of aesthetic instruments as possible objects of analysis for the historical discipline. Trying to open a methodological dialogue among history, literature and cultural studies, the artistic and intellectual production of the English writer and the more general historical context of the Western world in the 20th century will be simultaneously investigated., El propósito de este artículo es analizar por qué el novelista británico H. G. Wells (1866-1946) puede ser considerado como el primer gran masificador contemporáneo de los futuros inquietantes. Para ello, en este trabajo se reconstruirá una genealogía histórica de dicho concepto dentro de la tradición anglosajona y europea, para finalmente examinar cómo aparece representada esta idea en las narraciones tempranas de Wells. A partir del estudio de diversos artefactos culturales, la finalidad de este escrito es revalorizar el uso de los instrumentos estéticos como posibles objetos de análisis para la disciplina histórica. Tratando de abrir un diálogo metodológico entre la historia, la literatura y los estudios culturales, se indagará, de manera simultánea, en la producción artística e intelectual del escritor inglés y en el contexto histórico más general del mundo occidental en el siglo XX.

This paper documents how an ethically aligned co-design methodology ensures trustworthiness in the early design phase of an artificial intelligence (AI) system component for healthcare. The system explains decisions made by deep learning networks analyzing images of skin lesions. The co-design of trustworthy AI developed here used a holistic approach rather than a static ethical checklist and required a multidisciplinary team of experts working with the AI designers and their managers. Ethical, legal, and technical issues potentially arising from the future use of the AI system were investigated. This paper is a first report on co-designing in the early design phase. Our results can also serve as guidance for other early-phase AI-similar tool developments

In dieser Dissertation wird die Suche nach schweren neutralen pseudoskalaren A und skalaren H Higgs-Bosonen vorgestellt, die in gg-Fusionen erzeugt werden, und in ein Top-Antitop-Quark-Paar zerfallen. Gesucht wurde im vollständigen Datensatz von Proton–Proton-Kollisionen bei einer Schwerpunktsenergie von 8 TeV die vom ATLAS-Detektor am Large Hadron Collider aufgezeichnet wurde und einer integrierten Luminosität von 20.3 fb−1 entspricht. Der Signalprozess und der Haupthintergrund aus der Top-Quark-Paar-Produktion über starke gg-Fusionen-Prozesse, interferieren heftig, was zu einer Verzerrung des reinen Breit-Wigner-Resonanzpeak in eine Peak-Dip-Struktur führt. Diese Analyse ist die erste am LHC, die die Interferenz zwischen Signal und Hintergrundprozessen vollständig berücksichtigt. Die Suche stützt sich auf die statistische Analyse des invarianten Top-Quark-Paar-Massenspektrum, welches aus Ereignissen mit einem Elektron oder Myon mit hohem Transversalimpuls, einer hohen fehlenden Transversalenergie von dem nicht detektierten Neutrino und mindestens vier Jets rekonstruiert wird. In den Daten wird keine signifikante Abweichung vom erwarteten Standardmodell-Hintergrund beobachtet. Die Ausschließungsgrenzen wurden abgeleitet im Kontext des Typ II Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, für Higgs-Bosonen mit einer Masse von 500 und 750 GeV und mit niedrigerem tan(\beta)-Parameter, bei der tan(\beta) das Verhältnis der Vakuumerwartungswerte der beiden Higgs-Dublett-Felder ist. Diese Parameterregionen sind weitgehend unerforscht in Untersuchungen von beliebigen Endzuständen., In this thesis a search is presented for heavy neutral pseudoscalar A and scalar H Higgs bosons, produced in gg fusion and decaying into a top-antitop quark pair. The search is conducted on the full proton-proton collisions dataset recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass collision energy of 8 TeV and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb−1. The signal process and the main background from top quark pair production via the gg fusion strong process, interfere heavily, distorting the signal shape from the pure Breit-Wigner resonance peak to a peak-dip structure. This analysis is the first one at the LHC that fully takes into account the interference between a signal and the background processes. The search relies on the statistical analysis of the top quark pair invariant mass spectrum, which is reconstructed in signal candidate events with a high-transverse momentum electron or muon, large missing transverse energy from the undetected neutrino and at least four jets. No significant deviation from the expected SM background is observed in data. Exclusion limits are derived in the context of the type-II Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, for Higgs boson masses of 500 and 750 GeV and in the low tan(\beta) parameter region, where tan(\beta) is the ratio of the vacuum expectation values of the two Higgs doublet fields. These parameter regions have been largely unexplored by searches in any final state.

Kernspinresonanzspektroskopie ist eine etablierte Methode zur Untersuchung von Proteinstrukturen und deren dynamischen Eigenschaften. Diese Masterarbeit zielt darauf ab die strukturellen Eigenschaften von L7Ae involvier im H/ACA box Ribonucleoprotein (RNP) zu untersuchen. L7Ae ist ein RNA bindendes Protein, welches in zwei großen Gruppen von RNPs vorkommt. Diese RNPs sind involviert in verschiedenen RNA Modifikationsprozessen, die eine große Rolle in der Feineinstellung einiger Zellfunktionen spielen und daher einen großen evolutionären Vorteil für die Zelle darstellen. Daher ist die Untersuchung der Struktur des H/ACA box RNPs von großem Interesse. Ein RNP, das unteranderem L7Ae enthält, ist das H/ACA box RNP, welches für die sequenzspezifische Pseudouridylierung von RNA zuständig ist und aus einer Leitsequenz-RNA und vier Proteinen besteht, welche den Psedouridylierungsprozess katalysieren. In dieser Arbeit wird die Bindung von L7Ae an der H/ACA RNA untersucht. L7Ae bindet dabei an ein Kink-Turn Element der RNA und stabilisiert diese Kink-Turn Struktur durch diese Bindung. L7Ae wird mittels rekombinanter Proteinsynthese in isotopenreiner Form hergestellt und gereinigt. Paramagnetische Relaxationseffekte verschiedener paramagnetischer Markierungen sowohl intramolekular als auch intermolekular, zwischen RNA und Protein werden mittels NMR Methoden untersucht. In einem Fall ist die paramagnetische Markierung auf der Proteinseite angebracht und der Effekt auf die RNA wird beobachtet und im zweiten Fall ist die RNA Probe mit einer paramagnetischen Markierung versehen und der Effekt auf der Proteinseite wird untersucht. Des Weiteren werden Strukturvorhersagen, unterstützt durch die bestimmten chemischen Verschiebungen, berechnet, um einen Strukturvorschlag in Lösung zu erhalten. Außerdem werden die dynamischen Eigenschaften von L7Ae mittels Relaxationsdispersions-experimenten untersucht., Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy is a versatile and well-established tool to determine protein structure and dynamics. In this master thesis the structural properties of L7Ae involved in the H/ACA Box ribonucleoprotein (RNP) is investigated. L7Ae is an RNA binding protein involved in two groups of RNPs. These RNPs are involved in RNA modification processes, responsible for the fine tuning of cell functions and the translation process. Therefore, RNPs comprise a great evolutionary advantage for the cell, which in turn makes them and the RNA modification process a subject of great interest. One of the RNPs involving L7Ae is the H/ACA box RNP, which is comprised of a guide RNA that marks RNA for site specific pseudouridylation and four proteins, which are responsible for the catalysis of the pseudouridylation process. In the context of the H/ACA box RNP, L7Ae binds a kink-turn motive present in the RNA and stabilizes the kink-turn structure. This thesis aims to examine this protein RNA binding using paramagnetic relaxation enhancement (PRE). L7Ae is produced using recombinant protein synthesis, which allows for the synthesis of isotopically labeled protein suitable for NMR studies. After purification different PRE effects are studied both on an intramolecular and an intermolecular level with the purpose to examine the L7Ae-H/ACA RNA binding. Both an experiment containing a paramagnetic tag on the protein and one experiment having the paramagnetic tag located at the RNA are conducted to observe the effect of the tag on the binding partner. Furthermore, a structure prediction, using the chemical shift data obtained from recorded assignment spectra, is conducted to obtain leads as to the protein structure in solution. In this article, we propose to rebuild how “La Voz del Interior” -the most popular newspaper from Córdoba, Argentina- covers two cases related to human rights issues. The first case is referred to the statements of Adolfo Scilingo, which took place on March 2nd, 1995. It represents the first time that the army forces silence deal towards crimes against humanity during the military dictatorship is broken. There were plenty of testimonies from the high range military members, The Church, and public ministers from that point. The second case is related to the 20th anniversary of the coup d'état in 1996. The remembrance and actions in the streets will be lead by the sons’ and daughters’ association “Hijos e Hijas por la Identidad y la Justicia contra el Olvido y el Silencio.” [H.I.J.O.S. for their initials in Spanish,] established in 1995. For the first time, the newspaper would dedicate a whole week to cover the anniversary and give more than half a page to an organization’s interview. Our interest is focused on the newspaper as a political actor -opinion builder and narrator of a conflict (Borelli, 2015)- which shows a swinging between the Dirty War discourses and the Theory of The Two Demons., En este artículo nos proponemos analizar cómo La Voz del Interior –el diario de mayor tirada de Córdoba- cubre dos hechos relacionados a la cuestión de los derechos humanos. El primer hito hace referencia las declaraciones de Adolfo Scilingo realizadas el 2 de marzo de 1995. Es la primera vez que se rompe el pacto de silencio de las fuerzas armadas en relación con los crímenes de lesa humanidad cometidos durante la dictadura militar. Desde ese momento hubo un sinnúmero de declaraciones por parte de los altos mandos del ejército, de la Iglesia y funcionarios públicos. El segundo hito es el aniversario de los 20 años del golpe de Estado en 1996. La conmemoración y las acciones en las calles serán encabezadas por la agrupación Hijos e Hijas por la Identidad y la Justicia contra el Olvido y el Silencio [H.I.J.O.S.] –conformada en 1995. Por primera vez, el diario le dedicará una semana entera al tratamiento del aniversario y le dedicará más de media página a una entrevista a la organización. Nos interesa analizar a este periódico como un actor político -formador de opiniones y narrador de un conflicto (Borelli, 2015), donde su discurso circula entre un vaivén entre los discursos de la Guerra Sucia y la Teoría de los Dos Demonios.

Esta investigación es sobre el efecto que tiene la aplicación de un tratamiento cognitivo conductual en niños de entre 8 y 10 años de edad con un diagnóstico previo de TDA/H que presentan niveles moderados o altos de ansiedad en alguna de las sub-escalas de la prueba Escala de Ansiedad Manifiesta en Niños (CMASR-2), se utiliza un diseño cuasi-experimental, y un tipo de estudio explicativo. La muestra se compone de 12 niños (10 niños y 2 niñas), divididos homogéneamente dentro de un grupo experimental y un grupo control. La única condición era que los niños estuvieran diagnosticados con TDA/H por un profesional idóneo y se utilizó para la evaluación de la ansiedad la CMASR-2, de Reynolds y Richmond (2012). Los resultados obtenidos muestran ausencia de diferencia significativa en las sub-escalas: Ansiedad fisiológica, ansiedad social y en la puntuación total, entre las mediciones post-test del grupo experimental y del grupo control. Además, como se esperaba, sí se observaron diferencias significativas entre los posttest del grupo experimental y del grupo control en la sub-escala de inquietud, pero, contrario a lo esperado en la sub-escala defensividad. De tal forma que, estos resultados apuntan a que el tratamiento no fue efectivo de forma general. Sin embargo, como se mencionó; sí se observó diferencia significativa en la sub-escala de inquietud entre el post-test del grupo experimental y el de control, siendo el experimental menor que el de control, por lo que se concluye que en la sub-escala inquietud, el tratamiento sí produjo un cambio positivo.

The article raises some questions about Gargarella’s analysis of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights’ ruling in Gelman v. Uruguay. It accepts the main idea regarding the possibility to grad democratic legitimacy of decisions, but it questions that the Uruguayan amnesty has had a high degree of legitimacy. This is because the decision was not made by all possibly affected people. This normative principle of inclusion is fundamental to Gargarella’s theory of democracy, however, it was not considered in his analysis of the case. The article explores the consequences of taking the principle of inclusion seriously and the practical problems that it involves, especially regarding the constitution of the demos. Finally, it proposes an alternative solution through a procedural understanding of judicial review based on participation, as proposed by J.H. Ely., El artículo plantea algunas inquietudes sobre el análisis que Gargarella hace de la sentencia de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos en el caso Gelman vs. Uruguay. Aceptando la idea principal de que las decisiones pueden gradarse según su legitimidad democrática, cuestiona que la Ley de Caducidad uruguaya haya sido legítima en un grado significativo y por tanto haya debido respetarse en su validez por la Corte Interamericana. Ello por cuanto la decisión no fue tomada por todas las personas posiblemente afectadas por la misma. Este principio normativo de inclusión es fundamental para la teoría de la democracia de Gargarella, sin embargo, no fue considerado en su análisis del caso. El artículo explora las consecuencias de tomarse en serio el principio de inclusión y los problemas prácticos que este apareja, en especial respecto de la constitución del demos. Finalmente, propone una alternativa de solución mediante la justicia constitucional/convencional, de acuerdo con un entendimiento procedimental de la misma basado en la participación, según lo pensó J. H. Ely.

Thyroid hormones (TH) have a multitude of actions, mainly on development and differentiation during early life and play many vital roles in almost all tissues including neuronal tissues. TH rapidly alters the mitochondrial functions both by its genomic and direct actions on mitochondrial binding sites. The functional relationship between TH and mitochondrial ion transport during stress response has not yet been elucidated in mammals so far. Here, we report a rapid in vivo action of triiodothyronine (T3) on mitochondrial ion transporter functions in the neuronal clusters of cortex, hippocampus and cerebellum of Swiss Albino mouse (Mus musculus) treated short-term with triiodothyronine (T3; 200ng g-1) for 30 min either in non-stressed or in restraint-stressed (30 min each day for 7 days). The mH+-ATPase activity in the cortex decreased to significant levels after T3 treatment in both non-stressed and restraint-stressed mice. On the contrary, the mH+-ATPase activity in the hippocampus and cerebellum increased to significant levels after T3 treatment in both non-stressed and restraint-stressed mice. The mCa2+-ATPase activity in the cortex and cerebellum decreased to significant levels after T3 treatment in both non-stressed and restraint-stressed mice. The mCa2+-ATPase activity in the hippocampus that increased to significant levels after T3 treatment, showed a reversal after restraint-stress in T3-treated mice. The mitochondrial Mg2+-ATPase activity in the cortex decreased to significant levels after T3 treatment in restraint-stressed mice. On the contrary, T3 treatment in restraint stressed mice increased to significant levels the mitochondrial Mg2+-ATPase activity in the cerebellum. The mitochondrial Mg2+-ATPase activity in the hippocampus, which increased to significant levels after T3 treatment in non-stressed mice, reversed its activity in T3-treated restraint-stressed mice. Toxigenic fungi can produce mycotoxins in food in favorable conditions of temperature and humidity. The daily intake of mycotoxins in food can cause harm to human and animal health. The aim of this study was to verify the exposure of the human organism to mycotoxins and their occurrence in clinical samples. The current study evaluated the risks to human health due to the toxicity caused by mycotoxins when consumed daily in foods, as well as their occurrence in clinical samples. In this bibliographic revision, the articles were selected through a database using combined words to search of main subject, which were recruited 60 papers for the general revision and 20 papers for the data of exposure mycotoxins by the daily intake and mycotoxins in clinical samples. Mycotoxins are often found in foods, including cereals, pulses, fruits and vegetables. They are highly resistant molecules that remain even after processing in the industry, including their by-products. Chronic intoxication can occur in individuals, causing health damage. The mycotoxins found in clinical samples of individuals from a region can help in the knowledge of how much the population is exposed. Thereby, it is possible take preventive measures in order to avoid possible diseases. The mycotoxins exposure has essential importance to public health, once that it may assist in the prevention or reduction of diseases. This review may contribute to instigate new research on the possible relation between mycotoxin exposure and the diseases caused by its interaction with the organism.

The present study evaluates natural composition of Serbian roasted hazelnut skins (HS) with potential role in application as functional nutrient of various food products. Total phenols (TPC) and flavonoids contents (TFC) in HS extracts obtained with dierent ethanol concentrations (10%—I, 50%—II and 96%—III) and their antioxidant activities were investigated. The highest total phenols content (706.0 9.7 mgGAE/gextract) was observed in 96% ethanol HS extract. Ethanol HS extracts showed very high antioxidant activity with eective concentrations (EC50) ranged between 0.052 and 0.066 mg/mL. The phenol and flavonoid content of roasted HS extracts I–III was determined by HPLC-ESI-MS/MS analyses. Contents of lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, metals, and C, H, N, S elements in roasted HS were also determined. Relatively high C/N, C/P and C/N/P ratios, rich metal contents and fatty acids composition indicated that hazelnut skin might be a good candidate for use as either human or fungal functional nutrient. In addition, possible application of phenolic HS extracts as UV booster was studied by recording UV spectra (220–440 nm) of 10 mg/L of HS extracts I–III combined with 10 mg/L of chemical sunscreen agent benzophenone-3 and in vitro sun protection factor (SPF) was calculated.

Oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy is characterized by an acute hyperexcitability syndrome triggered/exacerbated by cold. The mechanisms underlying oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy are unclear, but the alteration of ion channel expression and activity plays a well-recognized central role. Recently, we found that oxaliplatin leads to cytosolic acidification in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons. Here, we investigated the early impact of oxaliplatin on the proton-sensitive TREK potassium channels. Following a 6-h oxaliplatin treatment, both channels underwent a transcription upregulation that returned to control levels after 42 h. The overexpression of TREK channels was also observed after in vivo treatment in DRG cells from mice exposed to acute treatment with oxaliplatin. Moreover, both intracellular pH and TREK channel transcription were similarly regulated after incubation with amiloride, an inhibitor of the Na+/H+ exchanger. In addition, we studied the role of oxaliplatin-induced acidification on channel behavior, and, as expected, we observed a robust positive modulation of TREK channel activity. Finally, we focused on the impact of this complex modulation on capsaicin-evoked neuronal activity finding a transient decrease in the average firing rate following 6 h of oxaliplatin treatment. In conclusion, the early activation of TREK genes may represent a mechanism of protection against the oxaliplatin-related perturbation of neuronal excitability.

In this article we try to argue and describe the circular connection that takes place between the artistic-symbolic fact and the hermeneutic-interpretative one. This is evident to us by placing ourselves in the ambit called by Eugenio Trías the limit, within his philosophical proposal. We also try to analyze the adequacy of the behavior of the arts in itinere to the dynamics of this aesthetic-hermeneutical circle. In them it is highlighted, especially, that the space-time interval of this circle can tend to a minimum value to the point in which the hermeneutic-interpretative fact and the creative or artistic-symbolic fact can occur simultaneously., En el presente artículo tratamos de argumentar y describir la conexión circular que apreciamos entre el hecho artístico-simbólico y el hecho hermenéutico-interpretativo, conexión que se nos muestra evidente situándonos en el ámbito que Eugenio Trías ha denominado límite dentro de su propuesta filosófica. Tratamos, asimismo, de analizar el grado de adecuación del comportamiento de las artes in itinere a la dinámica de este círculo estético-hermenéutico. En ellas, especialmente, se pone de relieve que el intervalo espacio-temporal de dicho círculo puede tender a un valor mínimo hasta el punto de que en un mismo instante se pueda dar de manera simultánea el hecho hermenéutico-interpretativo y el hecho creativo o artístico-simbólico.

The article focuses on the specific features of perception and promotion of the materialistic worldview, including P.-H.T. Holbach’s ideas presented in the works by I.P. Pnin, who was one of the brightest social thinkers in Russia at the turn of the 19th century. First and foremost, the authors examine the activity conducted by Pnin in the context of St. Petersburg Journal (1798) he published, which featured the most progressive ideas of that time.

This article focuses on Héctor A. Murena’s philosophy of history, as rendered in his essay collection El pecado original de América (1954). It interprets and elaborates on the book’s main topics: parricide, metaphysical banishment, dispossession, geographical displacement, solitude, abyss, and transobjectivity. It recovers the decisive yet overlooked influence of Schiller upon Murena, especially the former’s opposition between naivete and sentimentality. It compares Kleist’s secularization of the biblical narrative of the fall and banishment from Eden with Murena’s own version, arguing that his theorization on Latin American identity bares key elements of the German romantic view on history. Finally, it points out that Murena’s reflections on history are actually centered on Buenos Aires., Este artículo se centra en la filosofía de la historia de Héctor A. Murena, formulada en su colección de ensayos El pecado original de América (1954). Desarrolla e interpreta los temas principales del libro: parricidio, destierro metafísico, desposesión, desplazamiento geográfico, soledad, abismo y transobjetividad. Recupera la olvidada pero decisiva influencia de Schiller en Murena, especialmente la oposición entre lo ingenuo y lo sentimental. Compara la secularización del relato bíblico de la caída y expulsión del paraíso de Heinrich von Kleist con la versión de Murena, para argumentar que la teorización de este sobre la identidad latinoamericana presenta rasgos fundamentales de la visión de la historia del romanticismo alemán. Finalmente, señala que la mirada histórica de Murena está en realidad centrada en Buenos Aires.

The silos are used for the packaging of grain and/or food powders that can be marketed in the periods between harvest, because it maintains the physical characteristics of the stored products. Therefore, the study of the individual flow properties and the characteristics internal to the silo during the process of loading, storing and unloading the product is essential to maintain the integrity of the silo. Thus, the present study aims to compare the horizontal pressures during the loading process between the low silo situation (h/d = 1 ratio) and sly silo (h/d = 4 ratio). For this purpose, a high vertical silo was used, composed of body and hopper in stainless steel with 2.50 m height and 0.64 m in diameter with 10-3 m thickness. For data acquisition, load cells fixed to the silo wall were used and connected to the Spider 8.0 datalogger, with data processed by Catman 4.5. The stored product was corn with repetition of the loading process in quintuplicate for the two h/d ratios. In the h/d ratio equal to 1, the representation of horizontal pressures was practically constant., Os silos são utilizados para armazenamento de grão e/ou produtos pulverulentos alimentícios mantendo as características físicas dos produtos armazenados. Para tanto, o estudo das pressões durante o processo de carregamento, armazenamento e descarregamento do produto são imprescindíveis para manutenção da integridade do silo. O trabalho tem por objetivo a comparação das pressões horizontais durante o processo de carregamento entre a situação de silo baixo (relação altura/diâmetro = h/d = 1) e silo esbelto (relação altura/diâmetro = h/d = 4). Para tanto foi utilizado um silo vertical elevado, composto por corpo e tremonha em aço inox com 2.50 m de altura e 0.64 m de diâmetro com 10-3 m de espessura. Para aquisição dos dados, foram utilizadas células de carga fixadas a parede do silo e conectadas ao datalogger Spider 8.0, com dados processados pelo Catman 4.5. O produto armazenado foi o milho com repetição do processo de carregamento em quintuplicata para as duas relações h/d. Por resultados obteve-se que quanto maior a relação h/d, maiores as pressões durante o carregamento na área mais próxima a zona de transição entre o corpo do silo e a tremonha. This research refers to an experience report of qualitative approach, elaborated in the disciplines of Scientific Writing I and Research in Psychology and Psychology of Adulthood and Old Age. It aimed to analyze the quality of life of the elderly in a rest home institution in the city of Santa Maria-RS, through the observation of interpersonal relationships, aspects related to mental health and promote an intervention according to the aspects analyzed. Data analysis was performed a posteriori using the Content Analysis method recorded in a field diary. The results of this research indicate that although the structural conditions of the asylum are satisfactory, there is still a deficit regarding psychological support to the elderly, which can bring negative points to their lives, reducing their quality of life.

Introduction: The training of nurses in care for the individual Trans, shows us the need for some changes in professional practice since it is notable the little intimacy about the demands of this population. Objective: To survey what scientific production reveals about nursing care for the Trans public. Method: Integrative review of a qualitative approach. Results: After searching the database, As researched in the virtual health library - VHL and Public Medline (PubMed) in the LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences) databases, BDENF (Nursing database) ) and MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) The result is that there is no preparation to better assist the Trans population in the training of nurses, there is also little scientific production about this care, in addition to little promotion of the National Policy LGBT Integral Health Program in the training of this professional. Final considerations: The construction of a dialogue about the health needs of the trans individual needs to exist within the training of the nurses professional to prepare him/her to meet the care demands concerning nursing care, so programmatic contents are suggested to be applied in the training of nurses.

Cancer has been characterized as a major public health problem due to its high prevalence in both developed and developing countries. In this sense, the practice of physical activity and food is one of the alternatives in the prophylaxis of cancer. This article aims to demonstrate the importance of physical activity as well as healthy eating in cancer prophylaxis. This is an integrative literature review conducted through the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) MEDLINE. 35 articles were selected where only seven were part of the final sample. In view of the results obtained, it became evident that the practice of physical activity is essential in the prophylaxis of cancer, as well as the adoption of a healthy diet, the results are very positive in the treatment of breast cancer, as well as in children and the population elderly. This consequently improves the patients' physical and mental conditioning, as well as a better quality of life, increasing the chances of a cure for the disease. Therefore, the present research is limited to the benefits of physical activity and healthy eating in the prophylaxis of cancer. Given the above, the importance of studies like these is evident, since they contribute directly to scholars in the field, as well as to literature.

This study aims to identify the reasons that lead to family refusal to donate corneas in an institution in the south of the country. A retrospective quantitative study of documentary character was carried out, with data collection through 102 medical records of patients whose family members were interviewed for corneal donation between the months of July to December 2013. As for family consent, a total of 70 negative and 30 positive family members for corneal donation, obtaining as the most frequent justification for family refusal, the prior conviction of the potential donor not to be an organ donor, the ignorance of the decision of the potential donor, followed by disagreement among family members. According to the research, the results suggest the importance of exploring and implementing strategies in order to attribute more social value to the donation, since it is not enough to just raise awareness among the population, it is also necessary that there are trained health professionals to efficiently coordinate all the process, and that can contribute to the planning and development of interventions that encourage the donation of tissues and organs.

Today's society has demanded critical individuals capable of carrying out collaborative practices and being able to find answers relevant to different situations, thus requiring a more dynamic teaching in which students are the subject of their learning process and how the teaching of Mathematics suffers rejection by many students due to different reasons, it is relevant that the teacher rethink his methodological practice. The objective of the present work is to present the results of a state-of-the-art research on the active methodology in the teaching of mathematics. To this end, a research was carried out with a qualitative approach classified as exploratory and used the bibliographic research method called Systematic Literature Review (RSL). The research took place in the CAPES Periódicos Portal Database that, after searching, selecting and analyzing the articles in the last ten years, five articles were selected that made it possible to view the panorama of this theme. The analysis undertaken pointed out that the use of Active Methodologies as a strategy for the teaching of Mathematics stimulates knowledge, encourages reflections and challenges students to solve problems.

To analyze the influence of philosophy on the use of technology in nursing. This is an integrative review, whose fundamental question was "How does philosophy influence the use of technology in nursing?". Data collection took place in July 2017 in the databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Electronic Scientific Library Online, Cumulative Literature Index in Nursing and Allied Health and International System of Analysis and Recovery of Medical Literature Online via PubMed. A research was carried out through the descriptors: Philosophy in nursing, Technology and Nursing team and after inclusion and exclusion, including part of the results 12 articles. A scientific research in nursing to use technologies to perform care, both for medium-sized equipment, computer programs, as well as technologies such as alternative therapies, health education, among others. Scientific production shows different forms of use as technologies in nursing and its importance in the practice of quality care and assistance to patients.

Condições climáticas afetam a produtividade e a viabilidade econômica da agricultura que é desafiada pelas constantes variações de temperatura e precipitação ao longo do tempo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estimar alterações climáticas na microrregião de Guarapuava no estado do Paraná, analisando os impactos sobre a cultura do milho, utilizando modelagem para cenários futuros e comparando com um cenário base do passado. Foram ajustados modelos de adequação matemática utilizando Análise de Múltiplos Critérios (MCA) e Processo de Hierarquia Analítica (AHP), utilizando os cenários climáticos RCP4.5 e RCP8.5 (IPCC) para o cálculo do índice de aptidão agrícola da cultura considerando as variáveis solo, topografia e clima. Concluiu-se que a projeção de aumento da temperatura média durante o ciclo de cultivo é o fator ambiental de maior impacto para a redução do índice de aptidão agrícola para o milho na microrregião de Guarapuava no ano de 2050.

This research aimed to present an overview of the ISO 14001 certification in the Northern region of Brazil, in order to systematize existing data and provide organized information on the subject. The secondary data used are the national base of the Brazilian conformity assessment system managed by INMETRO. The results showed that the North region, in general, presented a low interest for ISO 14001 certification when compared to the other Brazilian regions. Among the northern states, Amazonas had the highest number of certificates. In 2017, Brazil registered 2.128 certifications, of which only 5% were in the North region. It was also verified that the transformation industries constitute a significant portion of the total percentage of certified companies, totaling 73%. It was also observed a gradual decrease in the number of certifications from 2015, mainly explained by the update of the base NBR in that year, and as well as result of the context of economic crisis faced by the country.

The study aimed to investigate how learning is assessed at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), Sobral Campus, comparing the Didactic Organization Regulation (ROD) with the teaching practice, and culminated with a pedagogical orientation action. It was motivated by an interest in understanding whether the assessment process may be affecting campus academic flow rates. The analysis and theoretical foundation were based on the five generations of evaluation (Lima Filho e Trompieri Filho, 2012) and Scriven's formative assessment concept (Rios, 2006). Being an action research, the cycle followed in which the practice is improved by the systematic interchange between acting and investigating (Tripp, 2005). The qualitative methodology originated from the documentary analysis of the regulation and the application of questionnaires to the teachers. With this information, the pedagogical intervention was planned and performed to discuss the difficulties and guide the teachers in the practice of formative assessment. The results showed that the evaluation in the ROD / IFCE has a formative character and that 51% of the teachers are aligned with this conception. However, most still prioritize quantitative aspects and hold students accountable for difficulties in the process. The intervention stage was positively evaluated and proved the need to deepen this topic discussion with other training actions and complementary studies.

International market demand for iron ore generates growth in mining industries, increasing the volume of tailings generated, which are deposited in ever-increasing containment dams. However, several accidents involving dams worldwide indicate the need for a mining tailings management plan. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the spatiotemporal evolution of articles associated with the use of iron mining tailings in civil construction. For this purpose, a qualitative and quantitative documentary research was carried out through the scientific method, which resulted in a sample of 98 articles published between 1960 and 2018. The data obtained indicate an exponential growth of published scientific works, and the countries with the largest number of articles on the theme studied were China (41%), India (11%) and Brazil (9%). The areas of knowledge with the largest number of publications were Engineering with (28.1%), Materials Science (24.1%) and Construction Technology (15.3%). The materials that most commonly used tailings in their composition were concrete, cited in 34 articles and cement, cited in 11 publications. The analysis techniques most cited in the articles were mechanical, chemical, physical and morphological tests. It is noteworthy that the reuse of mining waste in civil construction reduces negative environmental impacts associated with the disposal of these materials, in addition to contributing to the reduction of demand for primary natural resources.

The objective of this article is to relate how to experience monitoring in the discipline Health Management and Nursing I, with a view to semi-presential education. It´s about a descriptive study, the type of experience report, carried out from the experience of students in the monitoring of a semipresential subject. The monitoring experience was an initiation to teaching, in which the monitor came to know the activities inherent to teaching practice, under guidance. Being a monitor in a semi-presential discipline provided a more detailed knowledge of this modality, which provides flexibility in the learning process, encouraging the development of new digital skills, such as autonomy, self-motivation, critical reflection, analysis and decision-making skills. in the face of problem situations, teamwork, the use of different languages and collaborative action. It is concluded that the experience of monitoring contributed both to the academic training of the monitor, as well as to the progress of the semi-presential discipline, favoring communication and the development of virtual and face-to-face activities.

The development of equipment for capturing insects, in order to meet the need of technicians and researchers, is of paramount importance to obtain accurate data on the population of insects in a given area. The soil trap is used in order to have a sample of the population size of the macro fauna present in the soil. The objective of the experiment was to capture insects of different orders with soil traps and to verify the constancy of the orders of insects in the Experimental Area of Guava Orchards of Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraiba Campus Sousa, Unit II in São Gonçalo, Paraiba State. For this, six soil traps were installed, arranged in strategic points, with 30 m spacing between them, in a triangle shape. The traps were made of 2-liter plastic bottles (PET) of soft drink, cut in half and 10 cm in diameter and 15 cm high. Inside each bottle 300 mL of water and two tablespoons of neutral detergent were placed to break the surface tension of the water. The main orders of insects were respectively, Hymenoptera with 100% of the total species collected in the soil traps; Neuroptera 66.66%, Orthoptera 33.33% and Diptera with 33.33%. In the experiment, a constant frequency was observed, that is, those present in more than 50% of the collections, in particular the order Hymenoptera, with the red ant species (Formica rufa), followed by lion ant (Myrmeleon brasiliensis).

This study is a research model with exploratory, epidemiological and descriptive analysis with cross-sectional, quantitative and retrospective approach, through searching the secondary database, regarding the prevalence of cervical cancer in the state of Maranhão among the 2008 to 2017. Thus, this study aimed to characterize the epidemiological profile, the analysis of the most common age range of the onset of pathological manifestations, as well as to determine the occurrence of morbidity and mortality in individuals with cervical cancer. Regarding results, the data show that it was possible to identify a significant trend of deaths from malignant cervical cancer in the state of Maranhão, in women under 60 years of race / brown color, especially in 2017. Among deaths, it was observed the highest proportion of deaths occurred in hospitals, about 2143 cases. Followed by deaths at home, totaling 881 occurrences. It is noted that the epidemiological profile of cervical cancer occurs at high rates. Therefore, there is a need to improve public health completely, with emphasis on women's health programs, as well as making them aware of seeking access to services of health.

This work aims to present a proposal for a Potentially Meaningful Teaching Unit (PMTU) of Hydrostatic topics, in a perspective that enables the integration of contextualized physics concepts with the technical area of agriculture. The structure of the work brings, in addition to a brief report about the process of construction of the instructional material, an adaptation of the steps suggested by Marco Antonio Moreira (Moreira, 2011), fragmenting the stages of externalization of previous knowledge and which contemplate situations at an introductory and intermediate level, enabling greater detail specific topics and the progressive differentiation of concepts and, converging again to contemplate the principles of integrative reconciliation of UEPS concepts and evaluation. It also includes pedagogical and methodological principles that underlie the stages of UEPS, with emphasis on Ausubel's Theory of Meaningful Learning. Although the instructional material has been implemented in the educational context for which it is intended, this work does not intend to present results in relation to students' learning during the process of pedagogical intervention. The results are limited to the description of the elaboration process and the detailed result of this construction: the Hydrostatic PMTU.

The present work aims to perform a kinetics of pineapple peel drying at different temperatures and to adjust empirical and diffusive mathematical models for experimental data. The drying kinetics were performed at temperatures of 45, 55 and 65 °C, at a speed of 1.5 m/s. The experimental data were fitted with empirical (Newton Page and Parry) and diffusive mathematical models to consider an infinite wall geometry and a boundary condition of the third type. Among the mathematical models used or the page model that was the best adjusted to the experimental data of the pineapple peel drying kinetics, as it displays high values for the selection coefficient (R2), lower values for a chi-isolated function, in addition to random distribution for all applied temperatures. The values of diffusivity and convective coefficient have an influence on the increase in temperature, show direct proportionality and the minimum values of Biot number that are subjected to used start conditions (third type) displayed in a satisfactory way or process.

Snacks are extruded products made from corn, and for this reason several studies have sought the partial or total replacement of corn by other ingredients with higher nutritional value. We partially replaced the corn grits by shrimp atomized powder, aiming to increase the protein values in the final product, and analyze the chemical and physical characteristics of the snacks made with shrimp powder. The extruded products were obtained by partially replacing the grits by shrimp powder in the following proportions: 2, 4, 8 and 16%. The addition of shrimp powder increased the protein content from 2 to 9% in the snacks, in comparison with the control. The hygroscopicity of the product was not affected by the addition of shrimp powder. However, the increasing concentration of shrimp powder, in the formulations, decreased the expansion and increased the product hardness. The snacks developed in this study are protein products, crispy and showed dark color, becoming an attractive product for the consumer who seeks products with higher nutritional value.

Meliponines are important pollinators of tropical forest species, and an interesting feature of these is the possibility of their creation rationally. The present review highlights the importance of native bees and key points that can boost breeding. Despite its importance to the ecosystem, there are factors that have contributed to the reduction of bees, among them, the intensive occupation of the environment by man, causing impacts through the elimination of food sources. Like any other organism, bees need nutrients for their growth and its scarcity has harmful effects on the development of colonies. Despite its importance the study of artificial diets that can supply the needs of the bees in periods of low availability of food are still insufficient. To supply the lack of nectar one can look for the supply of an energetic food based on the mixture of water and sugar, however there are few studies aiming at the elaboration of protein supplements that can replace the pollen. Studies with complementary supplements enable creators to increase their creation through division and multiplication of colonies. However there is a lack of techniques that would allow the growth and increase of meliponicola production in the country.

The present article originates from a research on technological competition teams from a Public University in the South of Minas Gerais aiming to analyze the relationships between CTS, active methodologies and training of engineers from that University. The methodological path included theoretical research on the historical context that shaped: the political and economic transformations of the 1970s and their educational and scientific and technological implications; The field research carried out qualitative interviews and made visits to the workshops. Individual interviews and a group with students - focus group - and individual interviews with teachers and coordinators of the competition teams were carried out. The form of treatment of the interviews was the content analysis of Bardin. The analysis of the interviews revealed that there is a positive response in the speeches of students and professors regarding a closer relationship between the university and the civil community, in order to generate artifacts and processes aimed at more vulnerable populations. The big question would be ‘how’ to bring these social demands to the academy. We conclude that students are interested in applying the theoretical knowledge they receive at the university in solving real problems, in working in a collaborative and interdisciplinary way, using creativity to build artifacts and to solve social issues and, in this sense, we reached our goal that was to analyze the relationships between Science And Technology And Society (CTS), active methodologies and training of engineers at a University South of Minas Gerais.
