NLDA HDV Eindstudie, De wereld zit volop in de vierde industriële revolutie. Verandering is steeds meer complex en onvoorspelbaar, en wordt bovendien voortgedreven door digitale technologie. Hedendaagse bedrijven zullen zich moeten aanpassen om te kun-nen voortbestaan. Dat geldt ook voor het Ministerie van Defensie. De Minister van Defensie stelt in haar Defensievisie 2035 dat de organisatie in 2035 infor-matiegestuurd zal moeten zijn. In dit onderzoek bied ik een inzicht in de ont-werpprincipes van een informatiegestuurde organisatie en relateer deze aan de ontwerpprincipes van de huidige organisatiestructuur van de Koninklijke Lucht-macht. Hiermee geef ik antwoord op mijn onderzoeksvraag: In hoeverre kan de Koninklijke Luchtmacht haar vermogen om informatiegestuurd op te treden ver-beteren door aanpassingen te doen aan de organisatiestructuur? Op basis van deze analyse wordt de Luchtmacht een beeld geboden van mogelijke, nog te zetten organisatorische stappen ter ondersteuning van het bereiken van de am-bitie van Defensie om informatiegestuurd te zijn in 2035. Mijn onderzoek be-staat uit literatuuronderzoek en desk research. Middels een gap analyse zet ik de ontwerpprincipes van een informatiegestuurde organisatie af tegen de hui-dige Luchtmachtorganisatie. Uit mijn onderzoek is gebleken dat we in de huidige organisatie nog grote stappen kunnen maken om aan de ontwerpprincipes van een informatiegestuurde organisatie te voldoen. Tegelijkertijd zorgt de ingezette ‘5e Generatie Luchtmacht-koers’ ervoor dat door de vermeerdering van organi-satorische verbindingsmiddelen de Luchtmachtorganisatie beter verbonden is met elkaar, voornamelijk binnen het operationele commando. Mijn conclusie is daarom dat de ingezette initiatieven bij de Koninklijke Luchtmacht positief bij-dragen aan een informatiegestuurde organisatie en dat bij de transitie van het Ministerie van Defensie, de Koninklijke Luchtmacht als voorbeeld kan dienen.

The advent of new technologies has changed the approach to dental treatment, offering to the patients less invasive techniques, among them the laser is an instrument which is most frequently offered by dentists, because of its well known properties of decontamination and biostimulation offering significant opportunities within the periodontal and oral reconstructive surgery. Also in orthodontics we can take advantages of some peculiarities, such as in surgical orthodontic treatment "Minor", with the current research aimed to test its effectiveness in order to accelerate tooth movement. The purpose of this study is to validate the laser as a tool to choice for the resolution of gingival hyperplasia resulting from fixed orthodontic treatment.

Purpose: to value efficacy of anti microbic propriety of silver ligatures Orthoshield Safe-T-Tie® on periodontal tissues in orthodontic patients. Materials and methods: 50 orthodontic patients between 11 and 20 years old with permanent teeth were selected in this study. We evaluated periodontal health of maxillary and mandibular lateral incisors and canines at TO before the substitution of elastomeric ligatures with Orthoshield Safe-T-Tie® ligatures and at T1 (one month after substitution of ligatures). We used PI (Periodontal Index), GI (Gingival Index) and PRC-real-time to analyze periodontal health. Results: there was an improvement of gingival inflammation and a reduction of periodontal pathogens. Conclusions: Orthoshield Safe-T-Tie® ligatures improve periodontal health in orthodontic patients.

24 patients are selected and 30 teeth in vestibular mucosae, without keratinized gingiva. No active periodontal disease (no BOP and gingival recessions). No BOP and CAL loss at the start of the orthodontic treatment. Every patient was treated with self ligating appliances (Time2/Time3, American Orthodontics). In every orthodontic session (each 30 days as average) the patient was treated with Nd:Yag laser biostimulation, for 90 seconds, with 320 micron fiber section, on utilizing the Biostimulating machine paremeters. No termical effects were produced by lasers applications. At the moment of debonding, 30 teeth involved in the research were evaluated in terms of quality and quantity of attached gingiva. BOP and CAL loss were also investigated. Every tooth considerated, at the end of orthodontic treatment showed a attached gingiva around the crown: the average of keratinized gingiva at the end of the study was 2,7 mm and the mean increasing at each month was 0,45 mm.. The combination between self ligating appliances and laser's biostimulation could improve the differentiation of periodontal ligaments stem cells in fibroblasts, able to promote attached gingiva around the crown of the teeth erupted in oral vestibular mucosae.

The acidic soluble fraction of whole saliva of type 1 diabetic children was analyzed by reversed phase (RP)(1)-HPLC-ESI-MS and compared with that of sex-and age-matched control subjects. Salivary acidic proline-rich phosphoproteins (aPRP), histatins, alpha-defensins, salivary cystatins, statherin, proline-rich peptide P-B (P-B), beta-thymosins, S100A8 and S100A9(star)(S100A9(star) corresponds to S100A9 vairant lacking the first four amino acids), as well some naturally occurring peptides derived from salivary acidic proline-rich phosphoproteins, histatins, statherin, and P-B peptide, were detected and quantified on the basis of the extracted ion current peak area. The level of phosphorylation of salivary acidic proline-rich phosphoproteins, histatin-1 (Hst-1), statherin and S100A9(star) and the percentage of truncated forms of salivary acidic proline-rich phosphoproteins was also determined in the two groups. The study revealed that statherin, proline-rich peptide P-B, P-C peptide, and histatins, were significantly less concentrated in saliva of diabetic subjects than in controls, while concentration of alpha-defensins 1, 2 and 4 and S100A9(star) was higher. The low concentration of P-C peptide was paralleled by high levels of some of its fragments. On the whole, the study highlighted the severe impairment of the repertoire of peptides involved in the safeguard of the oral cavity in children who have diabetes, as well as an higher concentration of the proinflammatory mediator S100A9(star) with respect to healthy children. Human saliva from a healthy donor was subjected to fractionation by gel chromatography and six pools were collected and analysed by MALDI-TOF-MS and HPLC-ESI-MS. Three peptides, corresponding to 888.3, 687.3, and 524.1 amu and SNYLYDN, YLYDN, and LYDN sequences (determined by automated Edman sequencing), were isolated from pool 4. YLYDN was not previously described in human saliva. The peptides show the common C-terminal sequence of histatin 3 and histatin 1. To exclude the possibility that the three peptides were an artifact of the purification procedure, nine samples of human saliva were collected from healthy donors, immediately acidified with 0.2% TFA, and analysed by RP-HPLC-ESI-MS. The three peptides were detected in all the analyzed samples. SNYLYDN was always found at a concentration higher than that of YLYDN and LYDN. A correlation analysis performed on quantitative data indicated that the three peptides derive only from histatin 3. Other already known histatins also were searched for in the chromatogram. Histatins 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 were observed, although not in all samples analyzed, whereas other minor histatins were not detected.

The circadian rhythms of histatins 1, 3, 5, of statherin and uric acid were investigated in whole human saliva. Histatins showed a rhythm approximately synchronous with salivary flow rate (acrophase around 5 pm), the higher amplitude pertaining to histatin 1 (about 50% of the mesor). Uric acid showed a large rhythm asynchronous with flow rate and histatin concentrations (4.4 +/- 1.4 am). Statherin did not show a significant circadian rhythm on five of six volunteers. This finding confirms that the secretion route of statherin is different from that of histatins.
