The article presents a list of fiction and nonfiction books to be published in 2014 including "Paper Lantern: Love Stories," by Stuart Dybek, "The Zhivago Affair: The Kremlin, the CIA, and the Battle over a Forbidden Book," by Peter Finn and Petra Couvée, and "The Girl Who Was Saturday Night" by Heather O'Neill.
The article discusses issues concerning the fabrication of some parts of the book A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. It discusses that the Frey first presented the book as fiction but was published as nonfiction. This paper argues that another truism of publishing is that a good memoir must share many of the traits of a novel. It has to have a narrative and development and denouement.
