In the article, the author discusses the efforts by students in U.S. universities as of mid-2016 to call for the removal of public figures who were linked to racism or heinous activities against humanity on campuses. Also cited are the move by Georgetown University to study its possible participation in the dark history of racism in the U.S., and its renaming of a building named after Thomas Mulledy, who sold the university's slaves in 1838 to pay off the school's debt.
