Abstract

Polyaniline and Polyaniline-TiO2 nano-composite has been synthesized and assembled into well-packed monolayer films by means of the Langmuir-Blodgett technique. Analysis of the surface pressure and surface potential vs area per molecule isotherms reveal that good quality monolayer films of PANI and PANI-TiO2 nano-composite can be formed at surface of ultrapure water. Surface potential measurements have been used to determine the dipole interactions of the PANI and PANI-TiO2 nano-composite monolayer at the air/aqueous interface. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
