Abstract

The article discusses a study on an epistemological obstacle facing U.S. pre-service teachers regarding the nature of mathematics. The study tested a hypothesis about pre-service teachers' transition from school to university. It describes a seminar held in 2015 and cited the case of a teacher who described her experience with the transition.
